This is a very decent trinket for Bear Tanks, if you prefer damage mitigation over raw health.

The +383 Agility on this trinket gives us:

766 attack power: A buff to our threat generation, and our mitigation mechanic Savage Defense scales with attack power.
1,18% crit chance: Our chance to crit increases our chance to proc Savage Defense.
1,57% dodge chance before DR.

The proc offers 1624 Mastery Rating (provided that Mastery is your highest stat, which should definitely be the case), which equals roughly 9 points of Mastery, which translates into a 36% stronger Savage Defense. Mastery is our third best mitigation stat (after Agility and Dodge rating), which makes this a decent proc.

Pretty much all and every agility DPS spec will want this.

While it indeed is decent bear trinket, I don't see many raids allowing the tank to take a trinket that is pretty much BiS to many specs.

I play a retri dps and I would definitly take this unless a very strong STR proc trinket comes along.
Retribution stat priority is:
STR.
hit/exp cap
Mastery
Crit
Haste.

1500mastery rating is close to 35% mastery damage, currently my mastery does 16-20% of all my damage. Getting this trinket proc and time it with the activate trinket that gives 1600mastery rating to your highest secondary stat combined with the new gear from firelands raid Ret paladins can look upon 130%-140% or more mastery damage.
When you then think about templars verdict which crits 80k now on live with cds. you would look at almost 100k mastery damage when Templars verdict crits, and that's without even considering the aditional strenght we will get from new gear and possibly epic gems.
Basicly this trinket can allow retpaladins to crit 200k+ per hit if we time it, for burst phases i think noone can come close when it comes to those numbers. Also, besides feral druids which doesnt benefit alot from this in terms of burst and maybe hunters to some degree i dont see any class/spec needing this as much as a ret paladin.

Yeah, unless they rework the T12 tank trinkets we've seen so far, all of which have absolutely horrible on-use/proc effects, then this thing is somewhat competitive.

I've had 200k Ferocious Bite crits, and I'm not even in full 359+ gear.

Not sure what the proc rate on this trinket is, but based on my PTR testing it looks to have about a 105 sec ICD. The duration of the proc is 30 sec.

Some trinkets received in Firelands (Apparatus of Khaz'goroth, Necromantic Focus, Vessel of Acceleration, and Matrix Restabilizer) are displaying incorrect stat values in their buff and item tooltips, the values applied are correct.

Just obtained Matrix Restabilizer on live and from my testing the proc duration is 30 seconds with an ICD of 90 second, resulting in a 25% uptime.

Just got this awesome trinket tonight :)

Something i don't quite understand yet is that it says ~~1532~~ rating on the trinket, but the actual buff says 1624, afaik i don't have anything that can effect that so i assume one of them is wrong.

Edit: It is indeed 1624 rating, the tooltip on the trinket is wrong.

Anyways, it has a 1:45 sec CD. last for around 30 sec, and procs according to what rating is the highest at that time.

Which means in my case, as an assassin rogue with The Hungerer, Matrix Restabilizer will proc haste if The Hungerer procs just a millisecond before Matrix Restabilizer at the start of the fight. Eventho haste isn't optimal for rogues, it still gives energy regen to get your rotation going faster so it is not like it is very bad.

The Hungerer has a 1 minute CD and about 15 sec duration-

I have calculated if these trinkets will crash together later in a fight, assuming that you are hitting and procs exactly when they come off CDs, the first hits in the fight can and probably will cause it to proc haste.
5:15 sec into the fight, right when the duration of The Hungerer runs out, Matrix Restabilizer will come off CD so its possible that they may crash there as well. other than that there is the 7 minute mark. where they should technically come off CD at the exact same time.

so if you have these 2 trinkets, you will proc mastery if its the highest rating you have every time it comes off CD except in the start, 5:15 in and 7:00 in the fight :)

Also, the animation looks like a disc priests Power Infusion spell, so there is no way you can not notice it when it procs :)

This trinket has the value 1632 on highest stat instead of the 1532 the tooltip says. Got mine today and just tested it.

Death Knights, paladins, and warriors no longer receive any bonus to their chance to dodge from Agility. Their base chance to dodge is now a fixed 5%.

The loss of agility to dodge conversion does not impact bears (if it did, the bear tanking would require major overhauling)

I just got this trinket on my feral druid as dps, and it is way better than I thought it would be. It's pretty much a 30 second window to apply bleeds that will do around 30 percent more if you proc mastery as your highest stat. The other cool thing about it is if you have the fire cat staff, the proc looks really sick.

Out of curiosity.

If my Hunter was to get this (whenever it drops and I actually win the roll) which stat would it add to?

I have 31.58% Crit.
16.42 Mastery - 34%.

That is unbuffed. I'm guessing it would add to my Mastery rating? If it goes off the % stats.

Buffed my Crit chance is 40% give or take a small amount.

So i'm assuming that it would add to my Crit.

But what if I'm under the effects of Rapid Fire? - 40% Ranged Haste. Which will take my Haste to roughly 50%. If the trinket procs during that stage. (And trinkets usually proc at the start of a fight, which is also when i pop RF to Hard cast Aimed Shot for the first 10% for maximum DPS) The trinket will add to the haste. And send my being over capped on Haste. Casting Aimed Shot well below 1 second per cast.

So I'm just trying to work out how useful this will actually be. I guess its very situational. Would any MM Hunters out there like to comment clarifying a few things?

For the Feral dps out there, Haste is normally what we're stacking mostly in this patch, but after you get this trinket you immediately want to reforge mastery a little higher then haste and crit for the most dps upgrade. After reforging to allow mastery to be a little higher my dps went up another 120 past where it was when it only proc'd haste.

I'd so love to get this on my main rogue. 1627 mastery translates to around 9.2 mastery - assassination rogues have a base mastery of 8.0 (28% increased poison damage).

At my current gear (ilvl 361 equipped) I have 17.2 mastery (60% more poison damage)

When another 9.2 mastery is added (1627 and 1649 being about the same), I'd get about 32% more poison damage, making me have 92% increased poison damage.

Just think of it. That's pretty insane, even though the GCD is 1:45 long (lasts 30 seconds, which is 2/7, or 28,5% of the time).

Thus, the actual amount of extra poison damage I'd get from this trinket is actually about 10% (constant dps). Way nice.

about 550 mastery and 406 agility constantly = FTW!

(correct me if I'm wrong btw! I'm bad at math, the mastery could be less!)

The proc "Matrix Restabilized" will proc off Sap, even if you do it while in stealth, and not in combat.
