According to the buff (Titanic Power) This stacks 5 times, making it 1530 mastery/crit/haste on use (providing you crit at least 5 times in the 2 minutes it is on cooldown)

Has anyone spent a thought on using this as a protection warrior?
1530 mastery would get you close to unhittable without activated Shield Block. With Shield Block the chance on critical block should be rather high, I'm guessing somewhere around 40% or so. That'll be a nice small extra Shield Wall, maybe even superior to latter.

Before the inevitable Class Wars that will brake out here or in-game: Calculating the class that would benefit the most is meaningless, since it boosts the stat you have highest and thus (at least in a logical world) the one you have more profit from, since you should have raised that one.

I would advice against tanks using this, since Spidersilk Spindle, Scales of Life and Stay of Execution will do better. Plus the tuning that is rushing over.

Scales of Life, in particular, will work wonders for dk tanks.

The tooltip was saying 2540 crit when i used it after letting it charge to 5 stacks, nowhere close to the 1530 it should be based on the calculations...

The procc does not seem to have an internal CD~~, but also not a 100% procc chance~~ . So the ramp up time until you get 5 stacks is pretty short. Interestingly using the trinket does not trigger a 15 second CD on other useable items right now, though that might get fixed as in the past.

Well I got this on my DK tonight to try it out since nobody else wanted it. For some classes such as warriors or frost DKs, this is great. If however you are unholy, it's really not that worth it.
With a staggering 12.5% crit, raid buffed mind you this trinket rarely hit 5 stacks, when it did it took forever and often times I would have the stacks drop off completely before I could hit the 5cap.
Whats worse is that the trinket off rag is just as bad for unholy since it requires crits to boost your crit even more, so sorry guys but this content patch I'd stay away from this trinket and be apprehensive about the one off rag.

Got this today on my ret pally, amazing trinket. Only 15 second duration, but that's fine.
So the trinket itself says 5 stacks maximum, and 306 rating (mastery for ret) per stack. = 1530 rating.
However, the tooltip on the actual buff when I looked was 2540 mastery. Either the tooltip of the trinket is wrong, and the 306 per stack is actually 508 per stack, (2540/5) or the tooltip on the actual buff is wrong. Let's hope it's the trinket.

As a ret paladin, I was reluctant to try a stacking item as Fury of Angerforge turned out to be a huge bust...but I think this one has some merit. Static strength is sexy and 2500+ mastery is ridonculous...got lucky and had this drop on our 2nd raid night, hoping the ramp up time on the trinket isn't terrible but we'll see...

I just tried this out on my death knight, and was not recieving 508 haste per application as stated above. I received a total of 2032 haste at 5 stacks, for a boost of 406 per application. I think the devs are still messing with this trinket.

For those wondering, the trinket indeed gives 508 per stack, so you get 508x5=2540 rating for the on use effect.

Blizz is confirming it is indeed supposed to be 2540 rating and it is just a tooltip error.

Some trinkets received in Firelands (Apparatus of Khaz'goroth, Necromantic Focus, Vessel of Acceleration, and Matrix Restabilizer) are displaying incorrect stat values in their buff and item tooltips, the values applied are correct.

Keep in mind that that you shouldn't macro this trinket into a core rotational ability with "/use 13" like many others. It is possible to activate the use effect with less than 5 stacks of the buff, wasting it. You need to keep track of the buff stacks with something like powerauras or raven, then manually pop the trinket when you hit 5 stacks.

If you're not up to doing this, don't get this trinket-- with 1 stack giving only 508 of your highest stat, it's just not very good compared to easily acquired alternates like License to Slay.

It seems the effect itself is most useful for ret pally (don't quote me here, but roughly 30% extra damage from hand of light during zealotry beats the buffs warriors/dks get from this), but 5 stacks take incredibly long to stack if you're not getting lucky. Usually it means around a minute into the fight without popping major CDs, whereas arms warriors and dk's (especially dw frost) should stack it much much quicker. The stacks even fall off sometimes, meh.
They do stack quite fast on AOE though..

The Problem with this thing is the 2 min cooldown. First you have to stack a buff 5 times, then you must activate it manually and at last, you have to be careful that you dont activate it with less than 5 buffs.

Too many requirements for a 15 seconds lasting buff. 2540 Rating sounds great for nearly every class, but in the end most of the other trinkets are better with less manual transmission. When you compare this one with the Heart of Rage HC, with a calculator and the EJ DW 378 Values, the heart is about 20% better.

Im really wondering if i should buy this trinket or not, im a human PvP Retri paladin.. so that makes me able to have two trinkets without focusing on "removes movement impairing bla bla."

What i want to know is.. Am i able to pop both Apparatus and a PvP Badge (1794 str) at the same time?

That would give me insane burst..

Not trying anything here because I am really not filled with knowledge when it comes to melee gear but on my realm all ilvl378 BoEs go from 30 - 50k but there are 6 of these on the AH for the price from 10.999 to 17.999g for about a week now. For that price even my alt paladin could get a new trinket for his offspec...

But you have to check many times within the evening if it has actually 5 stacks or not. A 15 seconds proc with 2 min cd is not worth that mass of attention.

And if you will not use it on cooldown, its getting even more bad.

Picked it up as a Retribution Paladin. I raid 4 times a week, and let me say this bad boy will take you from 10th place to 1st 2nd place with 5x stack use.. its Overpowered i love it. I have 20.03 mastery or 42% and it takes it up to 73% so you get a almost double hit on crusader strike and templers.. this is a must with wings/zealotry Wicked Find, the problem with it, is stacking it up since Ret's don't crit much, but the 2nd time around on cooldowns youll be locked in 5x stack and it will prove to be very beastly!

Retribution Paladins -
So I am having a bit of difficulty with this thing. On paper it looks AMAZING....in reality it is kinda crap until the right circumstance.

I would say having Dwyer's Caber is more beneficial for trash mobs as it still gives some strength but now gives a proc instead of a stacking on-use function. Getting all 5 titanic powers while running around on mobs is not incredibly difficult but the cool down is 2 minutes and its use is 15 seconds meaning....You better know when to use it. The largest problem I have had so far is the fact that Paladins are VERY raid buff reliant. Our Critical Strike is terrible when not raid buffed. I have had this trinkets titanic power stacks actually drop off because I did not strike with a Melee Critical Strike on the raider training dummies.....Which is the other problem...its not just a melee hit. its a critical melee hit that the stacking relies on.

My other argument is that in a raid this trinket can be amazing for a boss fight as those generally last over 6-7 minutes. Initially I am just swinging away with its constant strength like Dwyer's Caber does. (I am joining Essence of the Eternal Flame with the Apparatus currently and swapping out the caber for trash mobs.) At the bosses I can use the Essence of the Eternal Flame with wings and zealotry for my first CD phase mixed with my engineer gloves at the very end. The Essence of the Eternal Flame comes back every minute making it very nice for fast target switching over the 2 minute CD of Impatience of Youth. At this time I am stacking up my 5 titanic power and waiting for the 2 minutes CD on my wings and Zeal for the 2nd CD phase.....Then the phase comes.

It hits like a truck being wielded by a roided out Godzilla on a PCP trip. The DPS goes through the roof when combined with Essence of the Eternal Flame which can be proced at the exact same time. BUT! That's just it....this is all highly situational meaning that all of my CD's must be ready at the same time and I must be able to constantly DPS my target for ideally 15 seconds because the trinkets only last that long. I also need to be able to get two minutes into a fight before being a very large dps and overall damage help.

This trinket is a touchy one...especially for ret paladins who rely on raid buffing for more critical strike. If anyone has any ideas on a great trinket setup for retribution paladins post them here. Currently a friend is pulling out staggering numbers using the Heart of Rage and License to Slay. (Claims 16k/5 mins sustained on target dummy non raid buffed)

*edit* after some more testing this is an amazing trinket for paladins IF fully raid buffed though. My critical strikes were thrown out more than enough to make this viable. I mixed it with the Impatience of Youth which became an enourmous Burst damage combo. (15k+/5 mins sustained on target dummy non raid buffs) I would pop wings/zeal and use the Impatience CD. Id then get maybe two stacks really quick of Titanic Power to throw out with it and not have more than 10-15sec of CD time when the wings/zeal CD was up. By the second go of Wings/Zeal I had Impatience at the ready and a full Apparatus that could be proced at the same time. I did some testing with the Essence of the Eternal Flame also and found it to be more a useful trinket when up against mobs where a quick CD time is needed (14.5K+/5 mins on target dummy non raid buffed)....So in my opinion we need to start swapping items out based on the fight. Essence of the Eternal Flame would be great for a boss fight with many adds, but Impatience of Youth with its timer equal to wings/zeal puts down raw burst damage on a "stand still" fight. The swap can almost be seen in Essence of the Eternal Flame and Impatience of Youth. One has more mastery and the quick CD for switching mobs quickly, and the other has less mastery but a harder strength punch that lasts a bit longer. Either way, when the second CD phase hits, you should ALWAYS time your CD to be ready for the immediate second that your Wings/Zeal are ready and that Apparatus is at a full 5 stacks....Non raid buffed, I immediately shoot up to over 21k on the target dummy.

This will all get tested tonight in Firelands 10 man. Im thinking a combo of Essence of the Eternal Flame/Dwyer's Caber for Mobs and Impatience of Youth/Apparatus of Khaz'goroth for bosses...I will see how Apparatus of Khaz'goroth procs titanic power on mobs though and it's use on the larger mobs. If the trash killing is constant it may prove the winner there.

Leat - Azuremyst US here. I am a ret pally. I have this trinket still, and love it. Especially since you can upgrade it to ilvl 391 once you get into heroic. I recently acquired the t12 4 set bonus, and it helps with this trinket. Since you pop zealotry as soon as you get 3 HP, and it lasts 35 seconds, that means you have at VERY LEAST 20 seconds to get stacks up before I pop my wings and my revered trinket. In a raid with the 5% crit buff from either a hunter, feral, or warrior, you get 5 stacks by the time zealotry is down to 20 seconds and the rest of your CDs are ready to pop about... 80% of the time.

Best trinkets for Fury Warriors i would say, when everything procs and using all abilities my DPS is close to 28k.

Using this on my warrior for Arms PvP, and I absolutely love it. Especially for bursting.

I reforge for mastery, leaving my crit very low (about 6.5%); however, I can still gain 5 stacks fairly quickly due to bonus crit on overpower, mortal strike and heroic strike.

When I have my 5 stacks and pop this trinket along with recklessness the resulting burst is very devastating. Nearly every hit crits, and nearly every hit procs my mastery. This leads to a lot of deep wounds damage, many colossus smash procs (which means more hits=more crits=more procs=more pwnage!)

Highly recommended!

has any1 tried using this trinket as a ret pally? peronally i think it would be very good for a ret pally reforging mastery, when you proc the 5 stacks for mastery use zelotry, that way its getting more of an effect with the surge of templar verdicts.

This trinket introduces an annoying dilemma in your opening if you're looking to line up cooldowns, and in reality doesn't perform anywhere near how it does in simulation. From the perspective of a frost Death Knight, it's still worth using, but prepare to be constantly annoyed.

Worth mentioning that it does stack with Synapse Springs from Engineering, something rare to find in (on use) trinkets for us.

Got this trinket tonight after months of looking out for it. As Ret, when activated, this doubles my bonus damage from around 41% to 82%. The burst is incredible and the two minute cooldown lines up with the majority of my other heavy CD's, minus Guardian.

Perhaps the most amazing thing is that it doesn't trigger either my Synapse Springs or my Essense of the Eternal Flame to go on CD, meaning I can stack the Essence (for a strength boost) and the Apparatus for hideous damage.

Definitely recommended.

umm i was able to use this trinket with the badge of victory pvp one, now in 4.3 i can't because its sharing cooldown with the new ilvl 390 badge of victory? is this a bug or what.
