There is 4 hour cooldown on when you can change between a vendor, mailbox or bank. The first time you use him you are locked into that choice for 3 min. After that you can't use him to run any errands at all until the 4 hour cooldown is up.

Here's some more details.

It takes 150 Champion's Seals to buy it and you have to be eligible, I believe it's Exalted Argent Champion of the Alliance/Exalted Argent Champion of the Horde that's required? Anyway.

You get Argent Pony Bridle, a consumable, and you use it, and it disappears, giving you Pony Up!. You retain the original Argent Squire/Argent Gruntling pet spell you had before, however additional options become available when you talk with your Squire/Gruntling; to bank, vendor, or mailbox. Should you actually use any of these options, he gets a 3 minute buff before running off. It's then 4 hours before the options appear again even if you resummon him in the meantime.

If, like me, all you want to do is just see him ride his little pony, just have him out while YOU'RE mounted. He'll follow on his pony.

While activating this mode for your Squire/Gruntling unlocks an achievement of its own, it will not count towards any other achievements for mounts or pets.

You need to complete this Achievement Exalted Argent Champion of the Alliance before you can buy Argent Pony Bridle

I am doing this Achievement right now, and you should count with about a month of hard work. Or maybe more

So to be clear, when you'r squire/grunt have mounted this, the item disappears and you have to buy another one for him to use it again, or can he mount it again when the 4 hour cooldown is done?

You only have to buy one Argent Pony Bridle. Using it permanently gives your Squire the ability to give you access to either your Bank, a Mailbox, or a Vendor for 3 minutes every 4 hours.

Etymology: The expression "to pony up" means to put up some cash, i.e. make payment. It's a double entendre -- you get a pony, and you have to pay a ton of Seals for it.

Please don't make the same mistake as me, i thought i would get that achievment by buying a horse from her, even though the achievment clearly says that i have to buy a pony and not a horse. So i bought Argent Charger and got no achievment, however Argent Charger is probably one of the coolest mounts in the game, and in my oppinion deffenatly the coolest horse, so i regret nothing :)
Just wanted to let you know, you have to buy the Argent Pony Bridle, not the Argent Warhorse/Charger :)

I was an idiot and purchased the 100 C.S pony in the argent tent then the 150 C.S one the girl sells..

oh my head...20 more days of farming Champion Seals..or is there another way

The achievement could say the argent pony bridle if you look at first glance you would think it's a mount.
