Didn't rhinos have a similar ability like this in WotLK beta? I think Blizz removed it in the end because it was a bit overpowered for hunters to have a knockback.
Hope this one stays!

Hmmm, I wonder if there are 2 Rhynos in a battleground... wouldn't that make it some sort of improvised tennis with them?

4.0.1 came 2 days ago, haven't been able to get this to work in a duel, personally. Anyone else tried this? It wouldn't trigger its CD either, and it cant be set to autocast.

It worked in a duel for me, I'd say it's like a 10-15 yd. knockback. But, it seems like all these exotic abilities are a pain to get off. Since most of them aren't autocast I have to sit there spamming it and hope it goes off inbetween GCD's hoping he doesn't use a smack first.

And as for this knockback, I can't imagine it being much more than a toy to play with maybe in EotS or just somewhere that you can knock someone off a cliff.

I wish SO BADLY that this could be set to autocast... ALL pet abilities for that matter should have it as an option.

While the knockback distance on this is lower then Thunderstorm, it knocks the target up at a higher angle, which makes it less prone to getting stopped by slopes.

I still don't understand the reasoning behind giving it such a disappointingly long cooldown compared to the other knockback spells, though.

Because it isnt only a toy for hunters.Hunters are supreme kiters as it is.This would make it even harder for a melee to get to them close enough to do some heavy damage.

Absolutely LOVE this with my rhino (Yermak) on my Hunter, particularly in EotS and Arathi Basin, as pointed out in an earlier post. Absolutely nothing makes quicker work of that Restro Pally dancing around the LM flag the waiting for him to lose just a little health and then pitch him to an insta-death off the cliffside. The LM flag is close enough that just about anyone trying to assault it is close enough to a ledge that the rhino can toss them off at the right angle. I tend to sit somewhere semi-parallel in camo and wait for Alliance to show up, and then have Yermak emerge from the shadows to punt them to their doom. Just watch out for frost mages, remember to hit BW before trying to horn toss them, or they'll just frost nova and blink to safety. I once killed a dozen alliance in a single AB game doing this :D

And just leave your rhino out at EotS. There's multiple places, not just around the flag, where you can punt your enemies to an instant death. There's a pretty sweet spot at the Fel Reaver, for example, where you can pitch them to their deaths as they come over from the Mage Tower.

Last, this can be pretty handy both in PvE and PvP for getting melee off of you and as a poor man's spell interrupt. Killed a Shaman earlier in TB cause when she tried to cast a heal she got rhino-punted across the sky.

Simply a useful ability, and almost makes up for Stampede being even more situational than Horn Toss.

Unfortunately (and this makes no sense at all), this is a nature school spell, meaning DKs in AMS are immune to it. I haven't tested if this ability could be spell reflected, but I'm thinking it can.

i find it handy to have a "pet macro" with all of the pet skills you use for your different pets
