I have broken down all of the current masteries into two categories: unique, interesting masteries and flat bonus masteries.

Why this mastery is interesting
Although this mastery seems to be a flat bonus, keep in mind that there are a wide variety of abilities that "cause you to become enraged or consume an enrage effect". This mastery mayaffect Enraged Regeneration, Bloodrage, Raging Blow, among others.

Alright,

@ Orthis, Bloodrage no longer exists, it is replaced by Commanding Shout and Battle Shout now generating instant rage upon use and having linked cooldowns.

"Increases the benefit of abilities that cause or REQUIRE you to be enraged by 25.04%. Each point of Mastery increases enrage effects by an additional 3.13%."

Raging Blow is indeed effected as it REQUIRES a enrage effect to use, if you look at the skill information with Unshackled Fury unlocked in the talent tree it says it causes 125% weapon damage instead of the 100% shown on WoWhead. Tested in the PTR's, didn't think of reforging some of my stats into mastery to fully test however.

@ bluewyvern, You'd be surprised how much more you use Bloodthirst and Heroic strike than Raging Blow in the Fury rotation, tested it on the PTR (and actually got a higher dps on the test dummy than my current live Fury dps) and Raging Blow is spammed whenever Berserker Rage is off cooldown and whenever Enrage manages to proc, but it depends how lucky you are with the 10% chance on hit Enrage proc, cause 75% of the damage I was doing was from Heroic Strike, Bloodthirst, and Slam.

On PTR 4.0.1 (release), this mastery is affecting the damage bonuses of Death Wish, Enrage and Raging Blow, and the healing amount of Enraged Regeneration. For 15.01 mastery (46% increase), values are, respectively, 29% (from a base of 20%), 14% (base 10%), 46% (base 0%) and 44% (base 30%).

Testing on the PTR isn't going to give you a clear idea of how useful Raging Blow will be in Cataclysm since you won't have mastery gear before Cataclysm. Once mastery kicks in, I'm sure Raging Blow will be much higher priority than it is on the PTR.

So far, I've found that this mastery...
Increases the Weapon Damage of Raging Blow
Increases the damage bonus of Death Wish and Enrage
Increases the healing of Enraged Regeneration
Increases the Rage generated by Berserker Rage through Glyph of Berserker Rage
(Might increase rage generation through damage taken with Berserker Rage active, I'm not sure, and it's a bit hard for me to test, any input on this would be appreciated.)

Does anyone know if an Unholy Death Knight's "Unholy Frenzy" ability would gain a bonus from this mastery too? When applied to the warrior, of course.

EDIT: Not only that, but does anyone know if Inner Rage will benefit from this as well?

I have to say, this is actually one of my favorite masteries. It embodies the fury warrior perfectly - a lunatic berserker whose wrath is their greatest weapon. I only wish the arms mastery was more creative like this one.

Keep Berserker Rage up at beginning of fights (or when you need it), to use Raging Blow when you don't have the Enrage (from talents) up. (õLô)9

Is this adding 4.70% of 37.6%, meaning an added 1,76%, leaving me at 39,4% or is it a flat 4,7+37,6 = 42,3%?

If it's a flat increase, you'd need 22 Mastery to gain an effect of over 100%, meaning a Mastery Rating of 2506 as you have 8 Mastery at level 85? This would probably never be feasible?

How much Mastery would you go for? As long as you're hit- and expertise capped would you rather go for crit, haste or mastery?

Maybe I am reading too much into this, but wouldn't this increase your white damage as well. seeing as you would of course take the Enrage Talent. Your melee hit do cause you to be enraged, unless i am reading this incorrectly.

Your melee hit is not an "ability", so no it doesn't benefit from this mastery.

If you stack mastery on an 80, you would get about 50. Wonder how much raging blow would hit for then, with deathwish...

In simple laymans terms, can anyone give me a good idea of what a fury warriors dps should be at level 85. I know that leaves a lot open, like what gear they have and if they are in a reg, hero, or raid.. if they are unbuffed or buffed.. etc. So just whatever answer you can give with whatever data you have. Specifics and why's are great, but in depth math analysis would go over my head.

Also, if one attacks from behind (or the side), is hit capping really that important?

Thirdly, what would be good numbers to shoot for in regards to crit and mastery?

Currently, with a 353ilevel I get the following results (using the raiding training dummy and relying on the Recount addon)

unbuffed, and at:
20.71 critical
10.47 mastery
5.73 hit rating

attacking from the front my dps is approximately 9,300
attacking from the sides or behind, my dps is approximately 12,500 (with a nearly 0% miss rating on all special attacks and a 13% miss and 2.9% dodge rating on white damage melee)

Just curious if this is good or bad, as I almost always score top dps/damage in regs and heroes, although mages can typically beat me. In raids I am typically in the top 3. Again this is all noted via the Recount addon.
