The rezzed guy/girl will controll a ghoul like a vehicle, you wont get alive just will controll a ghoul with probably the same power as the death knight's ghoul

My friends helped me test this ability. Turns out, the ghoul raised from an ally has the exact same stats as your ghoul, meaning that it is affected by your strength/stamina, and your talents that increase the effects of your strength/stamina on your normal ghoul, like this and this. As long as your buddy uses claw all the time, and never lets his energy get to 100, he'll only do a little less DPS than your ghoul. (moving mobs, etc.)

Just a FYI, allies that have been hit with this can't be rezzed by normal means after, so if you are halfway through a raid, not a good time to use it.

How do you learn this spell exactly? Talents, trainer or what? There's no spell cost so it COULD be a talent.

funny thing happened once i was in AV i was about to go down i was going to summon my ghoul for a quick death pact but i hit this instead and accidentaly ressed myself as a ghoul. it was quite odd it seems to work on the same principles as corpse explosion with a small delay.

Will your ally's corpse gets used up? Is it still possible to resurrect him after you have used raise ally on him?

This would be great for a Death Knight (Unholy Spec) to have Book of the Dead, Ancient Cornerstone Grimoire, Antique Cornerstone Grimoire, and Antediluvian Cornerstone Grimoire. Then simply create a macros to used the item then switch it out for the other summoning books, summoning each skeleton (each lasting 60 sec) before casting Army of the Dead (each ghoul lasting 40 sec).

In addition to your raised ally, ghoul minion, and gargoyle that would be a great undead army to see for a total of 17 NPCs under your "command": 1 raisd ally, 4 skeletons, 10 ghouls (is this the max able to be summoned with the spell?), ghoul minion, and gargoyle 8D

There are other summoning trinkets but this an "Undead Army" theme, unless I missed another item summoning undead minions ;)

When you raise someone as a ghoul, you can /glare their ghoul to make it look ashamed xD

You gain standard Ghoul abilities, exactly the same as an Unholy DK's pet Ghoul. Additionaly to that you gain an extra ability that allows you to detonate your Ghoul.

I saw that alot of people go afk or just stare at the boss's HP when they die and didnt notice that they are a ghouI, thats why i made a useful macro that will whisper the player who you raised as ghoul - You are revived as GHOUL! Use rotation like 1-1-1-2-1-1-1-2...

Seems like with patch 4.1 that this ability will be changed to a REAL battle rez, was hoping that this would have been applied sooner, better late than never.

According to Blizz's post it will have a 10 min CD and cost 50 runic power to use. It will also obey the proper battle rez limitations that are present in raids.

I imagine they'll also alter the Glyph of Raise Ally effect... probably to make it the same as the Rebirth Glyph.

Besides the fact that the glyph is already being altered in the patch, it wouldn't apply for the raise dead ability. Reason why is because raise dead does not require any reagents to cast.

I am fond of this change because of two things.

First I can put this spell again on my bar seeing as how often it was a waste ghouling a raid member (not that the damage made a major difference, but I can count on one hand where someone actually used the ghoul form)

Second, as I together with a druid make up the tanks in our raid group it is much less risky for me to brezz someone than for him, minimizing the chance of high damage exposure to the druid out of bear form who also has a cast time on his battle rezz unlike a death knight.

The only thing I am curious about is what Void-Touched will do to the player.^^

Currently in the last two raids i have been in there seems to have been a bug with the rezzing a second person in the raid.

The first raid one DK rezzed our main tank and then another DK tried to rez a healer and got the message "can not resurrect in combat"

In the second raid on one attempt a druid rebirthed a hunter and then a DK could not rez a different raid member, when they tried they got the same message
On a different attempt the DK rezzed first and then the druid could not rebirth a different raid member

I was under the impression that battle rezzes (raise ally, rebirth, soulstone, reincarnation) were limited to one per person per fight not one per raid per fight, is that not the case?

Now that this spell acts like a regular battle rez, is it possible to use the old ghoul form?

I was kinda sad when the WotLK pre-launch events ended and there were no more ghouls, I was more sad when they removed the talent which let unholy dks come back to life as ghouls... now there's no more ghoul rez.

Has the ghoul form been removed completely?

imo, regular raise ghoul should raise an ally as a ghoul if used with the corpse of an ally selected.

Either Details damage meters doesn't want to count the spells properly or the zombie does almost no damage. It was showing 4 casts of claw dealing like 40 damage total.
