This appears to be a lackluster talent at first glance, but I suspect it is fairly decent overall. Making your Bestial Wrath go down to an 84 second cooldown means that it should be up 21.4% of the time instead of merely 15% of the time. With Glyph of Bestial Wrath, it ends up going down to 70 seconds (the glyph applies first), or roughly a 26% uptime.

The interesting part of this talent, however, is that it also works on pet abilities (which are mostly PvP related, although a 7 second cooldown on a Gorilla's Thunderstomp is pretty nice for AoE tanking) and talents such as Call of the Wild, the various tanking abilities from Tenacity, and Roar of Recovery.

Also exciting is the reduction of Roar of Sacrifice to a 21 second cooldown (on a 12 second buff), which calculates into the target getting an overall 17% reduction to the damage they take.

What makes me really excited is that it also applies to Growl, making for a significant increase in pet threat while soloing.

I like this talent alot when it comes to PVP.

Bestial wrath is mainly your CC immunity button. And -30% cooldown on the CC immunity is pretty sick and did saved my life pretty often.

Same goes for intimidation wich is very strong in pvp if you dont have entrapment, scatter shot or imp wing clip, as it allows you to get some distance, fire concusive shot and start kitting your ennemy.

Obviously this ability is supposed to be for PvP, as no one will care about the long resets in PvE. However, even in PVP, a fight is over before the 84 second refresh on BW. Although with the patch, and no ability to reset BW, this is the only way to get more BW.

However, the best use of this is Pet Special Abilities. My pet is a Chimera (could be boar too if you don't like cunning tree, or don't want to spec 51 Beast). So Chimera has a ranged 50% slow lasting 5 seconds, with a 10 sec CD. Now with this it is only 7 seconds. Basically, by speccing this low, I am 10% faster (kindred spirits) and he is 50% slower almost always. Kiting becomes much easier. If you don't want to go 51 Beast, get a Boar with a 6 second melee slow (like wing clip). This ability will reduce the cooldown from 20 seconds to 14 which makes it very managable to keep using. It won't be permi-slow as with Chimera, but pretty effective anyway. Plus, tenacity tree is better than cunning imo.

Not really, if u think about it...:

Wolf: Gives u a pretty good uptime of Furious Howl (28 secs cd down from 40), which means 71% uptime (up from 50%) - meaning big dps increase

Cat: The burst dmg of this ability is better than the dot ticks, so it will actually increase dps AND if u hav all 3 ranks of Longevity then it will practically b no different, cos if u look at Rake it ticks once every 3secs for 3 ticks with a 10sec cd meaning there is 1 sec between a tick and a refresh and with Longevity there is still only 1 sec between a tick and a refresh, considering the refresh burst dmg is higher than the individual tick dmg, u r still getting a dps increase.

Scorpid: Agreed that it does knock off the last 2 ticks, however with normal Scorpid Poison u hav no room for flexibility. Meaning if ur scorpid was stunned, feared, out of range or silenced when the last tick occurs then u will hav 2 wait the cd (10 sec) + the duration of the ability impairment to reapply, whereas with longevity u hav that flexibility. Also Scorpid Poison is dispellable so if it is dispelled early on then u would normally hav 2 wait 10 secs 2 reapply, but with Longevity you would only hav 2 wait 7 secs - but at the end of the day, yes, this is generally a dps DECREASE however it can b an increase but this is highly situational

Devilsaur: I don't even see why i need to go into this, I'm assuming u overlooked that Monstrous Bite also does a fair chunk dmg as well as the buff - meaning that yes, it will b refreshing the buff but also doing alot more dmg which r both positive effects. But if Monstrous Bite didnt do dmg and only applied a buff then i would agree that it would waste focus, but it would still hav situational bonuses (similar to scorpid) but again, at the end of day it doesnt. Also most things (exculding raid/dungeon bosses) would die b4 u can apply this 4 times anyway so this is definately a dps increase

So really they all hav positive effects, except mayb the scorpid, but this talent also reduces the cd on Bestial Wrath, Thunderstomp, Roar of Sacrifice, Intervene and Charge which are all available to the Scorpid family, so it doesn't matter which way u look at it, this is a great talent which is guaranteed to increase you and your pets dps ALOT no matter what class, race or pet family u hav, so i recommend this talent to every1!

No one likes Turtle pets (but me)! Anyway here is the list of Turtle pet improvements when picking this talent. Either rank "0", 1, 2 or 3.

My favorite is the Growl with Silverback (roughly if pet health is at 20k, 114 HPS) and that you can Shell Shield and Last Stand. You also get 40% more healing (passive Blood of the Rhino) and with Thunderstomp and Taunt as a panic-button you are (should be) able to solo all group quests that does not require too much healing or dps (like hard 5 man quests perhaps). You can even do good in dungeons with Intervene and Roar of Sacrifice to help tank or buff tank, even protect clothies when needed! It's a great pet with a lot of handy abilities for PvE and solo, and I love it! <3

Despite being listed under affected spells this does not affect abilities with no cool down so you don't gain any benefit on claw, bite or smack.
