The change to this talent actually is quite disappointing for me, I really liked my moth having the self heal/damage buff :(

I presume they changed it because the don't want pets having flat out +damage buffs, but it still makes me a sad troll...

It's an AoE interrupt: "interrupts the enemies spellcasting..."

For a BM hunter this is a must have pet for pvp - this is the only way I have a chance against mages. This is the only ferocity pet with a spell interrupt - the only other is held by the gorilla (tenacity) - 2 sec interrupt on a 30 sec cd (or about 20 secs as BM). The cooldown is reduced to around 42 secs for us, so with the gorilla or the moth, it's likely to be a once per fight ability making the 4 sec interrupt superior - and of course the fact that as a ferocity pet, this moth can destroy a mage who can't cast. To be effective however, you must take it off auto-cast as the moth will just use it the second it targets something with a mana bar. There are a couple of pets who slow casting speed by 25% and can even do so constantly, but given that most casters now have at least a few instant casts, and in fact 25% doesn't seem to be a deal breaker at any rate (since mages can often just about 2 shot other 80's now - if the mage can cast you will probably die) a total silence has proven vastly superior in my experience.

Now that you say that about mages, I understand why Blizz changed the Strangulate glyph for DKs, now increases the duration of the silence effect by 2 sec. if you silence a target when it's casting, and the talent Hand of Doom (all specs can take it, because it's in the 2nd tier of the Blood tree) that reduces de cooldown of Strangulate by 1 min. I thought it was overpowered, but now, I know it isn't.
