Dual Wield Specialization, while increasing the damage to your offhand, and is nice, doesn't increase the damage by as much as one would initially think.

The offhand of a warrior only does 50% of normal damage, and when you get Dual Wield Specialization, it factors in the increased damage before the 50% reduction, so you only will get 12.5% increased offhand damage with all 5 points in it.

There are many points in fury that could be better spent than Dual Wield Specialization, such as Improved Intercept, Imp Beserker Rage, and even improved cleave. Both in PvP and PvE situations, these three talents exceed the benefits from DWS.

think of it this way with titans grip you could put say a deep thunder in your off hand. 25% more damage from this+ 30% from enrage+20% from death wish which makes 75% more damage!+improve berserker stance 10% AP making fury a bit superior to arms in pure dps

this talent stacks with 2H spec and 1H spec respectivly, but even then, it's not really worth it.

I'm currently leveling a fury warrior, 59 atm, and will soon be working the numbers to see how dualing with slow/fast weapons impacts rage generation, whirlwind dmg, and overall dps depending on which skills are most often used with and without this talent, so expect some numberlove in a bit <3

im surprised to see negative comments on it but essential to any fury spec, and you wont likely have the points or practicality for this if you are arms (2h) or prot (1h+shield)

more offhand damage is more damage, yes it is multiplied so it makes your offhand 62.5%, not 75%

more offhand damage means more rage generated, this is more important than some think because a lot of the time, you will burn excess rage with heroic strike and cleave, which means you main hand isn't generating rage, but your offhand is

more offhand damage means bigger whirlwinds

For those who have just started a warrior and are wondering about it, Dual Wield is a passive ability that can be learned from warrior class trainers at level 20.

Dual wield (Passive) for warriors is available from class trainers at level 20, I believe.

Not sure why it's not listed here.

While trying to level a fury warrior, I was quite stumped because I couldn't equip a one-hand dagger in the offhand slot - until I hit level 20 and visited the trainer, that is.

Does this mean that you can only dual-wield if you spec into Fury as your primary talent tree? Or does it simply mean that you'll be better at it if you're Fury?

I was trying out a macro I wrote a while back (with help from the macro forum) that let me switch among dual-wield/sword-and-board/2-hander, and I get a message saying I can't dual-wield. I'll be bummed if that's the way it is now....

So now that 4.3 is nerfing this, taking away the 5% physical damage bonus, does this mean that fury is now on par with arms or perhaps below par? As far as single target damage?
