The infernal are immune to all fire damage,
makes it a lot tougher for a fire mage :(

i was getting huge resist chance using shadow spells against these mobs, try using holy fire when possible for a better hit chance, i also did not have points in shadow focus (reduces your target's chance to resist your shadow spells by 2%)

As soon as you get the drop "Diabolical Plans", return to camp to turn it in. The followup will send you right back to Felfire Hill to kill 2 bosses. Kill the rest of the Lashers, Infernals, and Felguards on the way to the bosses.

I am having one heck of a time finding the Lashers. I was the only PC out there and managed to only find one so far. (I'm a level 35 hunter) I went all over the place but only ran into that one so far, I met my quota for the other two types of creatures almost immediately once I got there.

Now that I'm going back for the diabolical plans quest, I hope the rest of the Lashers will show themselves so I can end my misery. :D

What you want to do is find the path heading south to Demon Fall Canyon. Don't bother killing anything out in the fields outside the canyon since you will need to kill more as you move though the canyon. While you can find some Lashers if you take the left fork, there is a hard to see right fork that will have all the mobs you need. Head south to 83, 78 so you are looking at the monument to Grom Hellscream. Now look to your RIGHT on the ground for a small stone piller that looks like it has swirlinig light around it. This is a light marker for a path that leads up and to the RIGHT. It's not on the map, since the map shows this as a dead end loop. If you follow the path up you will find 4 lashers, and behind the lashers is a cave entrance which has more of the mobs you need to kill, including lashers. (past 79, 81)

The path is almost invisible unless you are looking for it, I thought the small stone piller was a quest item for something else, until I looked further up to see the path.

Both the Infernals and the Felguards seem to have high armor. If you're a Rogue, opening with Garrote (which ignores armor) wil make the kill a lot easier and quicker. If you're lower level, using a 1-2 point Rupture early in the fight might be a good idea too.

For me, even as a shaow priest, i dun really have much problem on the infernal and lasher, always hold a wand that deals arcane damage, this is the time it'll be useful,
Felguards are the problem cos they stun you a lot, but no worries cos you'll manage to kill them, its not like you're fighting a legend, yet

The mobs in this quest seems to be the Master of All Resist. Whatever I threw at them they really resisted a lot compared to mobs around the same level.
Wether it be Affliction spells or Aggro spells like Torment. Fear or Fire bases spells. Sometimes I see about 4 resist pop ups when hitting the mob.

Pain in the butt for a fire mage like others have said, but here's what I did to ease the pain

Pull at max distance w/ frostbolt
-Frostbolt x3
-Frost Nova
-Arcane Missiles
-Frostbolt / want until dead

Note that the lashers actually take fire damage, so your normal pulls shouldn't change with them.

The resistance is ridiculous for being only a lvl 30 quest. I've gotten 5 resists in a row on a Felguard. Also the amount of succubi for me have always been really low...

I noticed when I picked up this quest while I was doing the Grom quest last year that you must kill 6 each of 3 different demons, and I'm surprised only the guy above me had noticed this. But yes, it's clearly a reference to the fact that you're fighting demons and in Christian mythology, the number representing the demons' master is 666.

Just thought I might as well go ahead and say it, this is NOT a piece of cake for warlocks. All damage spells at that level and any that I know of for warlocks (only level 30) are all fire or shadow based, and all mobs for this quest have high shadow and/or fire resist. I would recommend pulling mobs here one at a time if possible because they don't go down that easy.

As of Cataclysm you only have to kill a combination of any 15 of the demon mobs. Stick around until one of them drops the "Diabolical Plans" for the quest of the same name.

Found all three types hanging around 81,66.

They are all level 29 & 30, completed this as a lvl 28 rouge without much fuss.

They are all in the same area but don't group so you can take them down one at a time.

Easy, unless you're a fire specced mage. Roaming Felguards take 1/2 fire damage, and Infernals are completely immune to damage. Haven't tried Mannoroc Lashers yet, but I doubt i'll have much success.

there's a reason no class in the game (xcept paladins) have only 1 type of magic school so the obvious choice to simply use the other one just for this 1 quest... no need to use wands

i found that the same sort of tactics work as the boiling elementals in 1k needles. u just arcan missile them, frost nova, more arcane missile then spam arcane explosion till they die. thats the infernals by the way. mannaroc lashers are no prob, ust normal pyroblast, fireball, fireblast tactics. the felguards u need a few arcan missiles, frost nova, cone of cold and firebalst, theyre not immune but fire doesnt do too much damage.

THis quest is fairly easy, the thing is that there is a lot of Felguards and Infernals, but almost NO Mannoroc Lashers.. what is all this about? i've been here for almost an hour killing thousands of infernals and felguards to move my way through the place and there are no Lashers... im getting tired of it!

Don't bother trying to wait for respawns of the Mannoroc Lashers.. Their spawning rate is for the suck. I would just fight your way up to where they are in Demon Fall Canyon. (I got them at about 87,80) That will get you the kills for the rest of the quest as well as them without as much of a headache. I'm a shadow spec priest and I wasn't able to do this quest very well until level 29.

The Lashers r nowhere to be found the day before i found some on Fellfire Hill and the next day they seemed to have disappeared. Thank Blizzard for the EYE OF KILROG.

quest wasn't too much of a problem. especially if you are a paladin. completed @ lvl 27.
dont forget to use your exorcism for 100 dmg then make sure you used your crusader and righteousness combo. Make sure your Hammer cd is rdy to use a heal when needed.

Everything is easy to find except the Lashers, in my opinion. It took me a while to find all my Lashers, as it seems there are less of them than anything else. Though, they are the easiest.

Shadow Priests, your spells will be resisted or halved, way more than you will like. Bring a friend. =)

Though you may find a couple of Lashers lurking about, they camp on Demon Fall Ridge, located inside Demon Fall Canyon. There are steps leading up on one of the sides, which are hard to spot. Watch out for the hound dogs. They set upon me in a pack of 4 almost as soon as I reached the top. Soloed as a level 30 priest.

80 73 is a really good place. Did this on my 28 feral druid and used rejuvenation after every kill and i was fine :p.

It says this is a horde quest but i (28 draenei hunter) have it and not sure where to turn it in. anyone else have this problem?

HEY WHATS UP.. SO THIS QUEST IS PRETTY EASY.. THE ONLY PROBLEM I HAD WAS FINDING THE mannoroc lasher's. AND WHEN I DID THEY WERE IN THE BACK OF DEMON FALL CANYON... CORDS.. ARE..88-78. GOOD LUCK :)

this is a good quest for warlocks. lets say you don't have any soul shards left or you just want a infernal or felguard at lvl 30. then enslave them. i enslaved a infernal for up to 4 minutes but the felguard i not having any luck. he keeps on kicking you back and resist it even with curse of weakness on him. (wich is suppose to help)

The quest was orange for me but I figured I'd try it. Half the mobs would spawn lvl 30, the rest were 29. The only time I died was while pulling one and got too close to another. Just as the one I was fighting died, I died (but hey it counted!). But the quest was doable, I just had to watch my step and take one at a time. Lashers didn't spawn that much for me either. The Felguards and Infernals were everywhere.

Go to just about 82.69 on coords or Felfire Hill. I had two quests "Destroy the Legion" and "Reclaiming Felfire Hill" did them both in about 10 minutes here. Very simple :D

Manoroc lashers were kinda hard to find - so I just sorta hung around 83,70 (or the area on your map just outside the entrance to Demon Fall Canyon for you poor non-coords ppl :D) until they respawned. Made a nice circuit with the Orc killin, Lumber collecting and tree planting. Plus one of the demons dropped some "Diabolical plans" which set off another quest. Plans were funny to read too :)

This quest annoyed the hell out of me.

After you kill something, it respawns as either a felguard, an infernal or a lasher. The lashers are a relatively rare spawn.

Took 2 and a half hours of killing and nearly a level of xp to get the 6 lashers. What waste of time for an uninteresting grind quest.

At coordinates 79.9 I found a camp that respawned the lashers relatively regularly. It's in Demon Fall Ridge: as you enter Demon Fall Canyon, find the Grom Hellscream monument (a great big stone spire). To the right of the momunment as you enter is a path leading upwards (north). Follow the path to the north and then to the east, and you'll come to the camp. There are three lashers there that spawned every 5 mins or so, so hang around for 10 minutes and you should get your 6 kills.

i dont know why you guys are struggling, i found them all in demon fall canyon no problem, took maybe 10 minutes even with someone else cleaning house before i got there..

i thought this quest was rather easy. i did this using a level 28 bloodelf paladin. mannoroc lashers aren't that rare, there's between two and four at a time, and by the time you've got the twelve others, they re-spawn. this quest was easy. completed within half an hour.

co-ords are 79.8, 68.4
failing that, take the south-east road directly from splintertree post, until you come to a bridge crossing a small river (not small enough to be a stream, though). the characters you need are roaming everywhere. this area is named felfire hill.

pretty easy :]

lvl 30 mage and lvl 28 mage, took down everything easy enough. Had a harder time with the lashers as they didn't spawn as often. Just kept circling the area until we had them all. Searing Infernals are immune to fire. Got the Diabolical plans quest while there which was easy XP since you only need to go back to splinterpine.
