I was having trouble with this quest. I could get into the tank but it would kick me out and then the tank would disappear. Logging out and then back in again seemed to fix it. Not sure if others had this problem.

Mine was glitched also so I abandoned the quest, exited the game, then logged back in and restarted the quest. Then I had no issues.

Do not right-click away your Trooper Uniform, no matter how much serving WoW Nazis makes your skin crawl. The Laborers fighting the Watchers will become hostile to you.

Maybe, maybe not, this quest is a reference the Battlezone tank-oriented arcade game by Atari. Wikipedia has more information of course but it boils down to this game inspiring a host of similarly named clones.

This is probably also a reference to the failure assassination of Adolf Hitler, when you return to Schnottz the whole room explodes and he claims that if he were just a few inches closer he would have died.

Where IRL there were a bomb in a suitcase I think that was put on the table in the table of the meeting room. Hitler survived because he wasn't close enough.

I took this quest, went out into the field, didn't find any tanks, tried to kill the watcher, After it was dead my armor went away and they started attacking me. Where can I get replacement armor..its not in my bags.

As I took this quest, one of the bodyguard NPCs yelled "Hide your vives! Hide your children! Zhey're killink everyvone up in he'ah!" Gotta love Blizzard.

If you kill the giants, and Schnottz is not in the cabin after it blows up, relog. He will be there.

after you pick up the quest walk out the door the tanks are behind the cabin that is straight across from you. the tanks move around so much it was hard to hit them with it

This has got to be the most annoying quest in wow so far. every time you try to aim the gun he turns the tank and messes up your aim and moves your pov so you can't even see what your shooting at now. very disappointed in bliz for this quest.

Having repeated issue with this quest. I complete the first objective, but when the tank returns to the cabin area, the siege tank captain is still standing there to have me shoot his cannon for him.

The QG is nowhere in sight.

Getting back in the tank and killing one collosus causes the tank to return to the cabin all over again. Anyone else experience this?

Have relogged several times to no avail.

This quest is terrible. I made the rounds 3 times and not once did the cannon ever point even remotely in the direction of a single Decrepit Watcher. I abandoned it - not worth the frustration.

Refference to the failed assassination on Adolf Hitler called "Operation Valkyrie".
The bomb was supposed to be brought to the meeting in Hitlers bunker, but since it was summer and too hot it was moved to Hitlers outhouse in the forest. There was alot of windows there so the pressure from the bomb, which would've killed Hitler in the bunker, went out of the windows and so the assassination failed.

From full health, the watchers take 4 hits to kill.

If they are not at full health, hit them anyway, because you will still get credit for the kill.

The aiming is easy but I hate when the tank 'jerks' like NPCs sometimes do and my aim is off by like 150%. It's happened a lot actually.

To my mind the sorriest point and shoot quest there is. Aiming is a joke and not a funny one, jerks around all the time. You'll eventually get your seven but expect to be in the tank for a while. More then once around the park james to get this one done.

The tanks have limited life. Just go get another one. The terrain is rough and makes aiming difficult...that's just part of the quest.

After having done this quest on several toons, it took me till yesterday to realize that when turning in the quest, it is important that you don't fly in on your mount, but rather run in on foot or your mount. When I flew in, the bunker didn't explode, from either entrance.

You have to run in from maybe 10 yards away through the door that is facing the tanks and then the bunker will explode, just some food for thought.

I see very few comments about how this quest sucks very badly. Is it just me? I have done this quest on 3 toons now and its is still very painful. The tank bounces all around, the line that shows you where you are aiming goes away uness you move the aim a bit and the screen doesnt follow the direction of the cannon. You have to turn the screen, then turn the cannon to shoot. Constantly. Heaven forbid if someone else is doing the quest while you are because the target become tapped further adding to the time you must spend in Hell doing this quest.

There are no comments about how to make this quest easier so im guessing this is just a grin-and-bear-it piece of sh** torture test.

This quest made me a bit nauseous with all the jerking. Perhaps I'm a bit too sensitive, but it was rough getting through it. The objectives were easy enough to complete, but it took my eyes a few minutes to adjust from the constant movements.

I spent ages trying to figure out how to 'return to Schnottz' I could see through the cabin door that the '?' was still grey after shooting the 7 collossi so clearly I had to do something else.
I even got back in the tank and tried to target the buildings. That didn't work.
Answer is:-
The explosion everyone is talking about happens as you approach the door. You don't need to do anything. Just kill the watchers and return to S.

I figgured out how to do this quest quickly. Have your auto attack keybound, I bound it to the number one key. then get into your tank, and hold down both mouse buttons. that allows you to keep your targeting on the giant guys, then spam the number one key, so as soon as the cool down is over it fires. I killed my seven guys very fast! then was so excited I finely figgured out how to do this quest quickly, I created this account just to share with all the other frustrated players. I hated this quest until today, lol

If you choose to dismount the tank after getting all 7 kills and fly back, don't fly too high when you approach Schnottz's bunker. The proximity will trigger the second part of the quest ("Return to Schnottz") and it will dismount you...the fall almost killed me.

Loved what the guard yelled.

In other news, I thought the quest was a pain in the rear; hard to aim, constantly trying to straighten my crosshairs or the camera view. Worst of all, got horribly motion sick. I wish I didn't have to complete this quest to do all the quests in Uldum. Would advise anyone who gets motion sick easily to take something before hand or it won't be pretty.

Here's a couple of important notes (I find them important anyway!)

1. The first tank, on the left as you look at the three, is the only one you can mount.

2. Hold both mouse buttons and aim while spamming #1 to fire as soon as possible.

3. Roll your target impact point onto the target, as long as the cannon ball trajectory intercepts the target (or close to it at least) you will do damage. It takes 3-4 shots.

4. Watch your target, as soon as it falters/stumbles, it's dead so swing to the next target in front of your tank and fire at it.

5. Once you have killed enough, the driver will tell you that the rest will be mopped up and the tank will speed up to "return to base". There will be NO indication other than this that you have completed your mission!

6. You must RUN or WALK back to Schnottz and turn in, DO NOT fly in.
