Where is the second spot ?

You need to do the all the quests before finishing this one. One quest is not given to you directly. It is from Fathom-Lord Zin'jar at 36.78 on the first level (at the start of the long corridor/tunnel).

Once you complete the last quest it loads you directly back and you can use your dagger on the spark and complete the quest.

I have done the first quest with the knife as well as the quests you first get when you turn to naga. I can't find where to turn in those quests or where to use the knife next. Suggestions gratefully accepted.

Edit: Found the problem. You do go back to 40.75, but I was still a naga. I had to leave a while for RL stuff. When I came back I was horde again and the spark was back. If you get stuck like I did, perhaps clicking off the naga disguise will turn the spark back on for you.

Some clarification as the chain stopped a bit suddenly and i started getting non-naga quests again.
You are supposed to do that and while you do quests around the area you will be directed to Wavespeaker Tulra again to give you the sword and tell you to go see the next vision.
SO dont worry about missing something after the 1st vision you ll bump on the rest as you do non-naga quests.

I completed this quest by first completing "Not Soon Forgotten", this teleported me to the place where you become the Naga for the quest series, and the quest completed. When this happens you are next to where you turn in the quest.

No, the coords are 40,4 75,7 to use the blade.

Check it out.

1. Complete the first portion of the quest.
2. IGNORE the second portion of the quest regarding "attune with" etc...
3. Complete the other Naga quests in the area.
4. In the end, you will "attune with" once all is complete.
5. After all is said and done, if you struggled with this, you could possibly feel dumb... like I did.
6. You should be mounted on your lame seahorse swimming onward.

I died a few ..... maybe 5 times
Each time you return it's a bit easier. You are at full health and he is weakened. Keep killing adds
Eventually ... 4 deaths in my case .. he is nearly dead when you find him and you have plenty of health and help !

then it is extremely likely that you are at a 'spark', but the wrong one.

This is a quick step thru of the quests, as i did them, which may not be the best way, but I hoped to have enough info, in each step to get you through, even if starting in the middle of the steps somewhere.

======NOTE for the next 9 steps, if you are interupted, leave area, dismount from vehicle naga, return to the location in step 1 and use the "Blade" Quest Item, then continue at what ever step you are currently on. ======

1. Goto approx 40.5 , 75.5 - youll see the spark on the sea floor in a circular ruins. This is on the East side of the temple mid way down the length of the large Temple/Building Complex, on the SOUTH end of the field of "short" ruins ON THE SEA FLOOR :-)
2. Click the blade in your bags, you get a quest line from that point, from 'Fathom-Stalker Azjentus' - Kill the 10 Kvaldir required
3. Then continue on to quest 'The Revered Lady' (Straight North)
4. Complete with Lady Naz'jar (@ approx 39.4 , 59.0) and aquire new quest 'To the Fathom-Lord's Call'
-- Note: at this point you get a message " Further attuning yourself with the Battlemaiden, you have gained a new ability! "
Check you vehicle action bar
5. GO UP Vertically till you are at the top of the building complex, Kill the 16 Kvaldir required (other locations may be available)
6. Upon quest completion go to 'Fathom-Lord Zin'jatar' one level up from the sea floor (@ approx 36.4 , 78.6) turn in quest and then look around nearby for the new quest from 'Sira'kess Tide Priestess' called 'Built to Last'
7. Stay on that same level (one level up from sea floor) and click the blueish bird bath quest item-thingers x6 and return to 'Sira'kess Tide Priestess' at same location (@ approx 37.2 , 77.5) Turn in quest.
8. Go back to nearby 'Fathom-Lord Zin'jatar' for next quest 'Not Soon Forgotten', GO STRAIGHT WEST on the same level (on up from the sea floor) and find 'Varkul the Unrelenting' at the opposite side of the complex (@ approx 28.5 , 78.5)
-- Note: some may recognize this as the place that they where getting the Further Attunement error
9. Upon killing Varkul, you get a "soft turn in" of quest in your log, then the attunement quest auto completes and ports you back to the location where you started all this (@ approx 40.5 , 75.5) on the sea floor. Turn in quest with Wavespeaker Valoren.
-- Note: Remember the location of 'Varkul the Unrelenting' (@ approx 28.5 , 78.5) as you return there in step 11

10. Do the "non-naga" quests until you get a quest to again "continue the story of the battlemaiden"
11. Return to the spot that you killed 'Varkul the Unrelenting' (@ approx 28.5 , 78.5) and click on the blade newly put into you bag completing the quest.
12. Obtain the new quest from Lady Naz'jar 'By Her Lady's Word' , Talk to the 3 naga on the way east, When quest completed go to the ledge (@ approx 46.2 , 79.5) further to the east and turn in quest with 'Fathom-Stalker Azjentus'
13. Aquire 'No Trespass Forgiven' and 'Stolen Property', continue east and turning to the south, as you go grab the quest 'Setting An Example' from Executioner Verathress (@ approx 57.2 , 85.2)
14. Aggro the Kvaldir High-Shaman from the building Very near by and simply run back to Executioner Verathress.
15. Continue killing the 20 Kvaldir as you head south from here, find the cup looking item with the quest completion '?' on top of it. complete and obtain 'Chosen Burden'
16. Return to the ledge (@ approx 46.2 , 79.5) and turn in 'No Trespass Forgiven' and 'Chosen Burden', obtain quest The Culmination of Our Efforts from Lady Naz'jar who is now on the ledge.
17. Quest 'Visions of the Past: The Slaughter of Biel'aran Ridge' Auto-completes and ports you back to the west side of the main complex (@ approx 29.0 , 78.5) Look around and turn in quest with Wavespeaker Valoren.
18. Take the offered seahorse back to the Tranquil Wash, and turn in quest with Captain Taylor.

19. Obtain the new quest line for the "concluding story" in the Tranquil Wash
20. Goto the top level of the temple and from the north side enter the large building in the center, and goto the top level inside the building to the spark (@ approx 33.1 , 77.9) and click on the blade newly put into you bag completing the quest.
21. Obtain the new quest from Lady Sira'kess 'Devout Assembly', upon leaving the building to the north also get the quest 'Her Lady's Hand' from Lady Naz'jar just outside the building
22. Kill enemies nearby on the top level to complete 'Her Lady's Hand' and look for the purple-ish "bubbles" for the Priestesses, simply talk to six of them,
23. Then head to the very North end and down the long stairs one level of the Temple and speak with Fathom-Caller Azrajar (@ approx 33.1 , 61.0) (top level in the area, though this is on the mid-level) to complete 'Devout Assembly'
24. Head back up and south and turn in 'Her Lady's Hand' to Lady Naz'jar (@ approx 33.1 , 75.9) and then head inside and turn in 'Devout Assembly' with Lady Sira'kess (@ approx 33.1 , 77.9)
25. Obtain 'At All Costs' from Lady Sira'kess and kill 20 enemies in that same area. Turnin with Lady Sira'kess and Obtain 'Final Judgement' and head out of the building turning right to the East.
26. Find Lady Naz'jar and kill enemies near by, staying with Lady Naz'jar until you see and then attack Hagrim Hopebreaker.
27. Turn in the quest with Lady Naz'jar (@ approx 42.5 , 78.6) You will be ported back into the Central Top building, return to the Tranquil Wash to turn in quest.

(unsure horde faction location, can someone post on that?)

I have never posted a comment before, but I am so irritated by this quest line I had to add my part. ddut 12/7/2010 is right about the quest from Fathom-Lord Zin'jar, but it is difficult to use coords to find it because you have to be in Naga form for it to appear. Also the level where it appears is Nar'shola Terrace. Thanks everyone for caring enough to take the time to help.

This quest is still bugged as of 5/12/11. I couldn't find Wavespeaker Valoren where she was supposed to be. The way I got her to show up was by clicking on the blade next to the sparkly thing again, then swim way out of the zone until it warns you, at which point it will reset and bring you back to where she is.

i don't know if anyone else has had this problem. i keep trying to do this quest but none of the npc's will appear and i can't attack or talk to the ones that are there for some reason it wont let me attack it keeps saying you are out of range

the npc's still move around and fight each other though

i have tried logging in and out multiple times and its not working

It's the same for me. Or atleast was. I am, as we speak, at the place where Lady Naz'Jar should stand, but there's no npc to find. This is kinda annoying me as I'm leveling and at the same time are doing the loremaster of cata. So, in other words, I'm unable to leave Vashj'Ir before I've completed every quest here : p

i'm on the first part of this little chain with out of range message or must be in front...i think is glitched out like some other mount or form based quests...a pain being this is part of the vash quest to any wheres

Between this chain and the last one for Vash'jir, this zone simply sucks.

I keep bugging out after completing one portion of each quest. I.E. After killing one Kvaldir, after clicking on one brazier, etc. I am not able to act any further, I get the error "Your pet is out of range."

The only way I found around this was to LOG OUT, then log back in, click on the blade at the sparkle, and swim back to do the next kill in the quest.

As this is obviously a very long and tedious method of completing this quest, I've opened a ticket and moved to a new zone.

I can't talk to my questgiver or attack anything, and a message saying "Your pet is out of range" keeps on popping up. Anyone else having this problem? It's really aggravating.

For anyone having trouble with error messages such as "your pet is out of range" or simply "out of range", I had the same problem. I simply disabled carbonite in my loading screen and left it off for the duration of this quest chain, and it solved all these bugs for me.

If you've had problems finishing the quest because you went out of naga form, go back to where you were told to go attune with the sword's owner and use the sword again to change back to naga form.

I had this problem on several characters because I would also queue for dungeons while I was questing and almost always, the queue would pop right when I was in the middle of this quest so I'd have to leave naga form to join the dungeon. When I come back to finish the quest and change back to naga form, I can't see any of the further quests or NPCs.

I figured out that you have to drop the Visions of the Past quest and go back to the Tranquil Wash to get the quest again from Wavespeaker Valoren and start all over again. What a pain.

If you're stuck in naga form, use the command below:

/leavevehicle

That should allow you to get unstuck.

Just a further note... I left naga form right at the part where I was supposed to kill Varkul (due to dungeon queue) and when I went back there, I thought I went back to the same place. Silly me, I didn't see anything because I was on the bottom level. Varkul is on the upper Terrace level.

Funnytoad's comments are right on point. Wherever you left off in each phase of the quest, go back to where you left off. If you can't remember where you left off, then retrace the steps in his outline.

Please note that you won't see the Visions of the Past quest completed until you've completed all of its phases, including any additional related quests along the way.

Also, the naga form times out after a certain point and transports you back to the attunement area. You can use the sword again to get back into naga form and finish whatever phase you left off at.

I had no problem with this quest on my main, and I also have a perfect internet connection, but doing this on my alt is annoying the crap out of me! It's lagging so bad (not because of the internet) that I have to close WoW from task manager every time..... Anyone else having this problem?

I have been working on this Quest for about three hours now and i keep getting the same thing over and over again.YOU NEED TO ATTUNE YOUSELF FURTHER WITH NAZ'JAR BATTLEMAIDEN TO PARTICIPATE IN VISON. how do i do this quest i am very confused on how to complete the quest at hand.

I had a problem with this quest.. after you kill the big npc (at least for me) I died (still completed quest) and it takes you out of the phase and back to your self. However it shows the question mark/ turn in spot at the location you are at (aka where you use the blade) but you will have to go back to legions rest to turn in the quest.

Visions of the Past: The Invasion of Vashj'ir

Use the Blade of the Naz'jar Battlemaiden at the battle site at the southeast end of the ruins.

Description

The shard you recovered looks to be of naga origin. I had hoped to find a strong focal object like this for a spell I've been working on that would allow us to glimpse into the recent past.

I've enchanted the blade, but you'll have to take it to a place where we know its owner was. I want you to travel back to the site where you found it and use the blade.

Perhaps we can uncover more behind what the naga are doing here. Or even better, maybe we'll uncover a weakness that will give us a better chance.
