Completing Guild Cataclysm Dungeon Hero enables this to be purchased at the guild vendor; however, for some unknown reason, it requires Honored reputation to purchase but Friendly reputation to use. Hopefully, it is a bug, but it will not matter when the next reset on December 14th occurs where Honored reputation can be obtained.

For clearing every single heroic in a guild group this rewards feels very unsatisfying. A four percent increase to XP and honor, for 2 minutes, with a 15 minute cooldown.

I don't see why I would ever put it up, let alone waste a bag slot for it.

The range on this bad boy is actually 45 yards. I would look at this as a kind of token buff, as it's more of a cosmetic thing like the banners you got from the ToC vendors. It looks pretty sweet, it's a double banner with your guild crest on either side. If you like showing some guild pride (say slapping this down on Wrynn's dead corpse) then I'd say its worth the bag space.

Without a boost to guild experience it's relatively worthless IMO. Trade off another bag slot for this? NTY.

All six of the guild battle standards have had their experience and honor gain buffs increased to 5/10/15%, up from 2/4/6%, and they last for a duration of 10 minutes.

So its a bit better. Good enough for a boss fight.

These appear to gain a type of ribbon pinned around them, corresponding to different types of achievement earned by the guild. Which ribbons correspond to which achievement is a mystery for now! Would love to see someone figure this out and upload some kind of guide on it though.

Let me try to answer all possible questions.

It is not consumed when used. Buy it once, use it forever, or at least until you get a better version. (Like Battle Standard of Coordination.)
It works on all guildmates, even those who are not in your group.
It only increases gains that occur from kills. So xp, rep, and honor gains from KILLS ONLY are increased. This does, however, extend to bosses. It does not extend to quests, either normal or daily. It does not extend to bonus honor gained from any method other than kills.
Due to the internal nature of the way that Guild rep works, Guild rep does not actually trigger on a 'kill': it triggers on completing a 'criteria'. Even if that 'criteria' is to 'kill' something in a guild group, such as a boss in a heroic run or raid, the mechanics of Guild rep means that the banner will not increase it, even from 'kills.' It's unclear if this is intended or not or if it will be 'fixed' in a future patch. Every other rep possible to be gained from a kill (including those triggered/adjusted by tabards) works with this banner fine.
It does not stack with other guildmates' banners, or other guilds' banners, etc. However, the more of your guildmates that have one, the more likely that one of you will be able to place one when the others have theirs on cooldown.
Does not activate global cooldown as it is an item, so can be used in macros fairly well. (/use itemname)

I can see the most common use of this item being plopping it down right before a boss that gives rep is killed. For instance, those who grind reps can plop this down right before a boss in a heroic run. Depending on how long the run takes they could do it multiple times in one run, or other guildies can use theirs on other bosses. This works with all tabards (except Guild rep tabards), and also works with rep from kills that don't require tabards, for instance Classic and BC raid zones which give rep. I used mine on as many Molten Core bosses as I could when I was farming it. Every little bit shaved off that grind helps.

The second most common use will be in PvP (although for those more PvP oriented, this will probably be their most common use). When defending an objective, especially in a place like Tol Barad or any place a large amount of kills occur in the same spot, plop it down for the extra honor. The banner cannot be targeted or killed by the enemy faction, but if they kill you, your banner gets removed. (The banner disappears if you go an extended distance from it, or die.)

Finally, I expect the least common use will be when leveling or grinding a rep from killing small trash mobs. Unless you're in a group with other guildies who will use their banners too, or you spend extra time and effort to stay with your banner, you will only have periodic coverage. However, since you can macro it into a spell, you can use it on cooldown without really paying attention and pretty much forget you even have it. You'll occasionally get some extra rep or xp, but it won't be a constant benefit. If this is all you plan to use it for, the item's really not worth it, but if you're already carrying it around for one of the first two reasons, you may as well use it for this too.

Oh. And it makes for good screenshots too, especially for 'first kill' screenshots for your guild's raids. ^_^

If you want to make sure your Banners are used whenever possible, use this macro:

/use Banner of Coorporation
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()
/script UIErrorsFrame:Show()
/cast 'Insert spell'

I used mine with Mutilate, bind it do an often used spell and you should be fine :)

I filtered out the errors, since I don't like them!

YOU personally MUST stay within range or it will despawn, EVEN if a guildie is in range, it STILL goes away!
