of course? seems like Greater Inscription of Shattered Crystal would be worth considering too... at least for druid tanks.

25 dodge rating gives 0.12% dodge
75 sta gives 750 health

50 Agility gives 0.18% dodge and 0.15% crit and 100 attack power
25 mastery gives 0.14 mastery points

So this inscription gives quite a bit of survivability, but Greater Inscription of Shattered Crystal gives more survivability and extra aggro/damage.

I can only speak for druids though, don't know the exact values for other tanks, who do not get attack power from agility.
You might also want to consider your current mastery rating, since only rounded integer numbers increase you mastery ability.

Of course for those tanks that are trained in Inscription, the Inscription of the Earth Prince is very, very nice.

This is the Cataclysm shoulder enchant for all tanking classes and is more or less of same value for all 4 of them.
It is sold for 67.5 gold by the quartermaster of the faction Therazane (Faction, Quartermaster links) and is available when you reach exalted.

The 75 stamina is a pretty decent number for a shoulder enchant but imo 25 dodge is a very low number for a level 85 tank... and for an epic quality enchant.

For bears, stamina is worth roughly twice as much as agility and four-times as much as mastery.

Way to pull some numbers out of your arse. There's no way to theorycraft stamina in such a way as to say it is worth x of another stat. You need to use your own judgment. You need to factor in the incoming damage from current encounters, whether there are any large, unavoidable gimmicks that could oneshot you, and your healers throughput and mana. Basically, if you have enough health to survive the biggest, nastiest hit a boss can throw at you and you aren't being overhealed by much, then you need to start adding some avoidance and mitigation. If you notice your healers are overhealing you by a lot then it's time to think about increasing your stamina.

Unlike the other reputation enchants (Cata head enchants, Sons of Hodir enchants etc.) these enchants are not bind on account, but bind on pickup. Upon enquiry, a GM told me that this is working as intended in 4.0.6, and is not a bug or overlooked.

So when levelling (an alt), better complete the Deepholm chain as far as possible in order to get this.

When you reach "Exalted", the cost of this item is actually 60G, not 75G
