That's because leggings generally always have better stats overall than gloves.

Funny, I didn't know people wore shoes on their hands. Is it some new fashion trend?

My comments on the boots overall? I don't have much of one. I suppose if you have the money to waste on them this early in the patch, go for it. I'd personally wait for the boots off of Festergut if you're already hitcapped, but that could be awhile at the time of writing.

These boots are 2nd BiS for Discipline Priests....Since Every caster in the group will be rolling on Plague Scientist's Boots from 25 ICC, these are essentially BiS.

While +Hit is not needed for Priest Healers, the hit can actually help dispel's land on enemy mobs. But I just disregard the hit, they have NICE crit for Disc's.

Actually the Deathfrost Boots are better for a Discipline Priest than all three of the boots you linked. Spirit is responsible for a negligible amount of mana regen for Disc Priests, who already have great longevity thanks to Mental Strength, Rapture, Shadowfiend and Hymn of Hope, which (as you may have noticed) all affect or are based on total mana. Anyway, now it's comparison time.

First Sandals of Consecration vs Deathfrost Boots

Sandals have +80 spirit
Boots have +64 hit rating and +16 crit rating
Since Spirit and Hit are effectively useless for reasonably geared Disc Priests, the boots give you +16 crit rating

Next Sandals of the Mourning Widow vs Deathfrost Boots

Sandals have +76 spirit, +68 haste rating, +2 spell power
Boots have +6 Int, +6 stam, +64 hit rating and +80 crit rating
There's more of a trade off here, with 68 haste and 2 sp vs 80 crit rating, however haste is generally considered to be worse than crit once you pass the 10% soft cap (where you hit the 1 sec GCD limit with Borrowed Time & Enlightenment), so for most players the boots are the clear choice

Finally Pale Corpse Boots vs Deathfrost Boots

Pale Corpse has +64 spirit
Deathfrost has +64 hit rating
These two are almost identical. The only difference is the socket bonus, where the Deathfrost just inches ahead with Red vs Yellow, and 7 spell power vs 6 spirit.

So as you can see, for Discipline Priests there are times when hit gear is better than equal level gear without hit. You just need to have a decent grasp of how the spec works. Personally I'm going to get these boots crafted as soon as I can.
