It says the proc chance is 70%. Not sure if it can only proc on the initial casting or with each jump. At this moment I'm guessing the initial cast.

Either way this is a nice trinket as you can cast chain heal and have the spellpower apply to spells other than chain heal.

Currently on the PTR it's for sale for 32g78s47c and 25 Emblems of Triumph.

Good totem to go with the CH spam of patch 3.2

I can see myself throwing this on every 12-15 seconds during a boss fight, cast a chain heal, then go back to something a bit more mana conscientious. The buff will remain on you for the full 15 second duration.

3.2.0 is not all about chain heal spam, it just makes chain heal more usable in the rotation :)

so, if the totem has 8 seconds internal CD and a 15 sec buff - aren't you a bit wrong to assume the buff at 78% uptime ?

I would say that the buff will be there all the time -- because you will be casting a lot of chain heals. One could do a CH "spam" to get the buff - then use some other spells for 8 seconds and go back to casting 2-3 CH in the last 7 seconds of the buff . This will almost guarantee 100% uptime and your healing will be really high ( just by casting so many CH you will be aiding the raid a lot )

when you calculate whe benefits of SP for CH you should do the following math
CH heal value on the first target = ( base heal + SP * 1.88 * 2.5/3.5 ) * ( 1.1 + 1.2 )

then add the benefits of both totems to see the differences :)

with Totem of Calming Tides
CH heal value on the first target = ( base heal + (SP+234) * 1.88 * 2.5/3.5 ) *( 1.1 + 1.2 )

CH heal value on the first target = ( (base heal + 243 ) + SP * 1.88 * 2.5/3.5 ) *( 1.1 + 1.2 )

one works for all CH you cast, 100% uptime and the other works for all spells ( and it can be up 100% of the time with careful casting ) . I think that the Totem of Calming Tides is better overall for a shaman - and it's relatively easy to get now ( 13 days of doing the daily heroic quest )

If there is an internal CD, is it less than 10 seconds.
Just testing in Dalaran, I get a proc roughly every 3 CH casts

With Patch 3.3 now live, a single days worth of Random Dungeons will get you 30 Emblem of Triumph, making this a simple purchase for Restoration Shamans.

Edit: Of course, you would not need to do all 16 dungeons, since all 5-man Heroic bosses now drop Emblem of Triumph, so depending on which random dungeons you do, you may only need to run 8.
