This is where I can assume the "reduces x spell by y%" is actually a percentage of the percentage and not a subtraction.

So Gift of the Wild will be 32% mana cost.
And Mark of the Wild will be 12% mana cost.

Your forgetting about the PvP advantage. Whenever I want to protect my hots/innervate I toss mark and thorms up. With the mana cost be lowered makes it a good plus.

Still, having the mana-cost reduced in half is a significant mana-savings for a resto-druid or a moonkin-druid. Not so much for a feral-dpser who switches out to rez someone and doesn't need the mana since they'll be switching back to energy-based abilities (or rage, in rare cases).

Being able to re-apply Mark after a battle rez is significant to the players damage output, stamina, etc. I still think this is a decent glyph for Trees or Moonkins to save them mana after they battle-rez.

Minor glyphs aren't too great anyway, the things thay do aren't very noticeable. This could be a little help I guess, it's better than nothing.

Useful for feral druids and PvP rebuffing. (MoTW has resistance for every spell school except holy ofc, so it's useful to have it up).

With the Moonkin 2t10 bonus, this glyph might actually have some real combat use, as suggested in the EJ thread here: http://elitistjerks.com/f47/t66856-moonkin_pve_dps_updated_3_3_a/.

Basically, cast GotW to force an OoC proc for the tier bonus, particularly in situations with high movement. I think the assumption here is that DoTs already on the target benefit immediately from the OoC damage boost.

I find this to be incredibly handy as a feral tank levelling up especially before lvl 50 when you get Gift of the Wild.

I like to buff my party members with mark of the wild (Assuming I'm the only druid in the group, if not, I let the other druid handle it.) and it would be a mana drainer when I have to mark everyone individually, then I have to drink to get into bear form.

With this glyph it relieves a lot of that burden on your mediocre mana pool.

Now that Mark of the Wild automatically buffs your entire party/raid, this glyph is no longer as useful. However, since it costs 24% of base mana, even druids with high mana reserves may wish to spend less on mark of the Wild.

All of these comments are 90 times more entertaining now that this has become the Glyph of Charm Woodland Creature.

Personally, I think woodland creatures have powerful PvP advantages. Though I think that Moonkin 2t10 makes this glyph much more exciting. Woodland creatures really do... uh... improve dps?

It's a neat new ability, but I'd personally rather go with some of the other Minor Glyphs we've heard about recently. Like Glyph of the Stars.

In Mists of Pandaria this glyph has changed.

OLD: Glyph of Mark of the Wild
Mana cost of your Mark of the Wild reduced by 50%.

NEW: Glyph of Charm Woodland Creature
Teaches you the ability Charm Woodland Creature.
Allows the Druid to befriend an ambient creature, which will follow the Druid for 1 hour.

This only works on NPC tagged as "Critters".

Charmed critters are considered as minions unlike other non-combat pets (companions), so players can have up both of them. They don't follow player into instances (even disappear after using heartstone) and will despawn if player flies too far away. If player tries to charm another critter, the old one will despawn. So no army of bunnies.
