Interesting effect this glyph has. I wonder if it will make it to live though. The obvious use for it is to still be able to polymorph the target after some noob has just covered your "moon" target in DoTs. But there's also the potential for disgruntled mages to grief warlocks by dispelling all their DoTs midfight. Interesting use of it just occurred to me, stick living bomb on your target and then polymorph them for explodey goodness. Assuming that it counts as a dispel and doesn't just delete the DoT.

This is a wonderful addition, not just to mages, but to the entire party.
Crowd control can easily get out of hand if DoT happy players can't stick to designated targets, or if the party decides not to mark targets at all.
This way, the mage can pick any target to polymorph without worrying... Unless of course the players are directly damaging it.

If your friends are attacking your friend from another faction, you can polymorph to remove all the DoTs :)

An interesting effect of this would be to "bounce" it off a warrior or mob doing a spell reflect.

Could potentially be a mage lifesaver.

I was thinking the same thing about spell reflect, bye bye bleed effects. Such great intentions in this glyph. But I don't see any way to modify it to where it can't be taken unfair advantage of.

CoAg is a curse, not a simple magic spell, and few spells can remove it.

For the casual mage, this is a means of easily getting around idiots casting their DoT's on the sheep target.

But a true mage will sheep the skull instead. Payback time.

when i looked at this glyph, i laughed so hard... Ive heard way too many mages complaining andjamming everyone on their head about this issue....

this is blizzards way of giving mages an anti-idiot glyph... freaking great if your playing pug only...

But ultimatly when you start getting into a good raiding guild... this glyph wil be utterly useless.

Very funny glyph tho =) hope it will not be expensive on AH

Potentially a stupid question, but does this affect ALL versions of polymorph? If this only affected Sheep, then one could still use Pig or Turtle if they needed to not drop the DoTs off of something. I'm sure this isn't the case, however. Can someone confirm?

EDIT: That sounded stupid, but I meant...well, nevermind. XD; Just wondered if it affected all version, s'all.

Currently one of the most useful glyphs in PvP when facing a priest.

During TBC a priest, provided they timed it correctly, could cast Shadow Word: Death just before polymorphs cast finished, and due to the effect of SW:D, the polymorph would break instantly from the knockback damage.

After testing this on my own priest, SW:D's knockback damage appears to be counted as a DoT, and because SW:D is casted before the polymorph cast is finished (hence SW:D DoT being applied) the damage knockback is removed.

Has anyone noted the idea that having this glyph may also have this effect:

If one of your party members is MC'ed from a regular mob your group is fighting, it will remove any chance of them coming back up to start wreaking havoc on your group.
I thought this was the idea before I read the first comment.

This would make a whole lot more sense:

"Your Polymorph effect is no longer broken by damage-over-time spells."

It wouldn't make Polymorph even more of a benefical skill than it already is, and since Polymorph will heal the target through basically any DoT, it couldn't be abused. If it can, just make it so that applying new DoTs will break it, but ones that were cast before Polymorph will not.

Or maybe it should be this:

"Your Polymorph targets become immune to periodic damage for the duration of the effect."

That way, it would still keep the DoTs for when Poly is broken by some other means.

i think this glpyh is good for pvp because tbh when you use polymorph it doesnt matter if there getting healed it thats they cant do &*!@ for 8 seconds or w.e say for instance if u run the comp im bout to run destro lock fire mage the last thing i want is my sheep being broken and one of us mostly the mage getting shat on by some warrior

Has anyone tested if this works on targets immune to polymorph? More specifically can it be used to remove DoTs from a boss? Not to push him in to phase or something like that.
