A very nice place to catch these is Lake Indu'le, just north-west of Moa'ki Harbor.

Not only do they seem to fish up well from the water, but the 'Dragonfin Angelfish Schools' spawn on a regular basis as well, with around 4 spawns to the lake.

Little tip for hunters/rogues looking for some diverse food: the pool on the floor of the cave in Magmoth in Borean Tundra fishes up Musselback Sculpins (AP food), Dragonfin Angelfish (Agility), and Bonescale Snappers (Hit Rating), so you're getting useful fish no matter what you fish up.

Edit: looks like the same can be said about Lake Indu'le.

Atm this makes the best druid tanking food w/ 40 agi and 40 stam (requires northern spices).
They will be farmed more in a couple of months.

The schools of Dragonfin Angelfish are also a great source for getting Pygmy Suckerfish.
Nearly every time i fished a Angelfish out of a school, i also got a suckerfish.

There were a lot more than 4 spawns on Lake Indu'le. If you are the only person fishing this lake, it is almost non-stop jumping from school to school. I should probably keep my big mouth shut but hey , my gift to you. Enjoy!

380 fishing is the skill required to drop a line, this is the "required" skill. To stop fish getting away, you need the required skill + 95. So, if a location requires 380 skill to fish, then you need 475 skill to stop fish from getting away.

My route is as follows:

Fly North to South on the river that separates Dragonblight and Grizzly Hills. That usually has 3-4 pools. (92,22)

Then fly to lake Indu'le. That has anywhere from 4-5 pools. (40, 69)

Then head up to the Westwind Refugee Camp. There is usually 2-3 pools there. (12,46)

By the end of my route, I usually net about 2 stacks of fish. Not that bad considering if you have an epic mount, it will take about 10 minutes to loop. Some may argue that camping Lake Indu'le is the fastest way, but it depends on server population. Sometimes I go there for an hour, and see 1 person, other times I go there and there are 3-4 fishing...so it's up to you.

Lake Indu'le is an awesome fishing spot coz if you have water walking(levitate, path of frost) and fish finder you can camp in the middle of the lake and see most the spawns around the edge, just have to move a little for the outer ones...

I'm not sure why it says there's fishing holes in Borean Tundra. I search there all morning today, and didn't find anything but Manta Rays, Musselbacks, and Man O' Wars. If anyone has caught any in Borean Tundra, lemme know so I can edit this. lol

There may not be "Dragonfin Angelfish School"s but that doesn't necesarily mean that you can't still fish it in Borean Tundra or the other marked locations.

About Dragonfin Angelfish:
a) 1 fish + 1 spice = +40 Agi/+40 Stam food -- https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=42999;
b) 1 fish + 1 spice = +40 Str/+40 Stam food -- https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=43000;
c) Sells for about 2-5g each raw Dragonfin Angelfish, 3-7g ea for cooked fish.
d) Also probably makes some crappy non-Northern Spice food that you shouldn't worry about;
e) That's it.

Where to get Dragonfin Angelfish:
Lake Indu'le has the most Dragonfin Angelfish Schools for any one area, and is the best place to farm. Sometimes you will run out of Schools, especially if another person is fishing the lake. While you wait for a School to repop, do not waste your time fishing the non-School water, and do not fly around to a new and less abundant area. The pools at Indu'le repop quickly and you should wait for them.

About Lake Indu'le:
There are 3-5 pools of dragonfin angelfish in the lake. You need to be 380 to fish it, 475 to avoid getaways. Find it at 40,69, SE of the entrance to Azjol-Nerub. Levitate potions are great for fishing, as someone mentioned above.

Farming Eternal Water while you wait
The water elementals in the lake are level 71-72 Corrupted Ragers: https://www.wowhead.com/cata/npc=21223). They drop crystallized water about 20% of the time, 1-4 at a time, for a total drop rate = 35% or so. This is the best rate (imho) for crystallized water outside of faction-controlled WG. The Ragers drop fast and don't have any nasty tricks. My 80 feral druid kills half the lake at once without breaking a sweat. I find that pwning down a pile of easy mobs from time to time and coming home with 3-5 Eternal Waters really rounds out my fishing experience both financially and entertainment-wise.

Best place to fish up Dragonfin Angelfish is in Dragonblight by the Lake Indu'le wich can be found North-west of Moa'ki Harbor easy found if you ask me.
The higher fishing skill the better chance to fish up the Dragonfin Angelfish, but you can also use items to increse your fishing to make the chance even higher.
The pools respawn quick enough for you to walk around the lake a quite few times.

Whilst Lake Indu'le is a nice place to farm these if ur relm is low populated, but mine is high, so did some flying around and found a great spot with no one else around for miles and respawns extremly quickly. Westwind Refugee Camp, just south of WG, co ods 11.6 44.55. When i have farmed these nodes for a while i would fly up to WG and fish up there time i have enough to make some fish feast i fly back down and all nodes respawned :D

I fished 1000 fish in Lake Indu'le (but not in the schools).

200 (20%) were Dragonfin Angelfish.
200 (20%) were Musselback Sculpin.
600 (60%) were Bonescale Snapper.

I also got 100 Pygmy Suckerfish, however, these are always caught in addition to another fish.

It is also possible to fish this lake at level 60 as a Night Elf. You should stand on the South East side away from all the NPCs, and shadowmeld on the ice every few minutes when a patrol goes by.

I got 450 fishing at 60, as well as a lot of useful fish for both cooking and raiding. Better than fishing in the fountain in Dalaran!

Wow.... that takes some balls to come on WoWhead and pretty much say "Hi Blizzard! I'm botting!"

Although we all thank you since the botting losers don't chase the schools and we can pick up 4x as many dragonfins in a third of the time.

If your toon in Blade's Edge server, you can find Draginfin fish located along the river on Dragonspine Tributary. It took me two hours to find the school in Dragonblight.. If you go anywhere else besides this spot, you will find lots of Manta Imperial and Deep Sea Monsterbelly schools.

I went to Lake Indu'le (Dragonblight) for these. They are in schools too so u should be able to fish one on ur first cast near as damn.

The Dragonblight location 12.5, 41.5 is nice. It's a tiny little beach with a waterfall, and someone has even left a fur rug for you to sit on and enjoy the sights and sounds of the countryside.

Lake Indu'le within Dragonblight just slightly North West of Moa'ki Harbor is the best place within Northrend to fish for Dragonfin Angelfish. There are 4 pools which respawn very quickly. By the time you fish the last pool, the first one you started with will have respawned already. There are fishing walruses called Indu'le Fishermen near the pools. These creatures are level 72 undead with 9610 hit points. They are not hard to defeat so don't worry about them if you are within the level 70 range. They respawn but the pools respawn a little faster so by the time u finish fishing the pool they will still not have respawned. They do't form mobsso yo will only have to fight one at a time. These fish come in handy if you are a melee fighter needing strength and stamina such as my Worgan Blood DK. You can make Dragonfin Filets with the fish. It take two fish per finished product thaty renders 40 strength and 40 stamina for an hour. You can also fish Bonescale Snappers from this lake. Although they don't give you stat bonuses tey are great for eating to regain you hit points after a fight. With the Bonescale Snappers you make Grilled Bonescale which replenish 22500 hit points and 19200 mana over 30 seconds so while you are fishing for you Dragonfin Angelfih for your food buff, or AH profit , you might as well get a few Bonescale Snappers to carry for your health food. This is a greatplace, a relatively safe place and the most bountiful place to fish for this fish, so have fun and enjoy. Good luck to you all.

It may be the only strength food for level 70 but it is not by ANY means the only strength food in-game. There are quite a few others. Take the Beer Basted Crocolisc recipe you get from spending you Stormwind Cooking Awards next to the cooking dail guy in SW. This is just one of the many and it gives +90 to strength and stam. Then again, at the time you made this post, it may have been different, although I doubt that much has changed. Just sharing some accurate information here,not trying to offend or insult. There are schools of Dragonfin Angel Fish at the bottom of the waterfall that drops from Wintergrasp. I have read that many people have caught them along the COAST of Borean Tundra. This is simply not the case, as they are fresh water fish.

I got around 50% Angelfish standing on the rocks in Valiance Keep. Just go north, where the boardwalk leads up to the farm and mine, and fish off the rocks. No need to travel far or go to dangerous places. Granted, I wasn't there long, but I got four in a minute or two.
