This item is perfect in order to make your weapon skills raise as it's a vendor item and it has some of the quickest attack speed over the whole game.

When a hunter has Aspect of the Viper on, these recover about 157-158 mana per hit with a ranged weapon with an attack speed of 2.8. Duel wielding these when at low mana and getting close to the enemy to attack them, with an even slower ranged weapon will likely regain mana VERY quickly. Might be worth it for hunters to get an additional set consisting of this and a slow ranged weapon for mana recovery in a raid or group.

Poignard, or poniard, refers to a long, lightweight thrusting knife with a continuously tapering, acutely pointed blade and crossguard, historically worn by the upper class, noblemen, or the knighthood.

I'm goning to go buy this and test this wepen right now! Well goning to the traner that is. I just leveled up to level 14 and I'm realy exsited. I'v never traned for a wepen befor, execpt a gun. I have a mace that dose 19-29 a sheald that hase 34 armer and a two-hand staf that dose 34-56 a gun that does 23-34. I'm a taron warrion and my names craftage. My suver is akama.My professions are First ade Enchanting and Engineering.

I totally agree with the firey weapon enchant, but i was thinking a bit more expensive for my 19 rogue. what if you but lifestealing on this? I think the results would be much more pleasing then just taking 40 health on the proc.

create an expensive but deadly and foremost reuseable twink weapon by putting on the expensive fiery weapon enchant on this dagger. The fiery enchant deals a fixed amount of extra damage (40 dmg often) which really makes a difference at low levels. The fact that the Poniard is super fast (1,30s) makes it very effective, not to speak about a dual vield set up.... awesome and sensible. The expensive enchants is'nt vasted as the weapon is transferable and sellable ... :D

This is the almost perfect heirloom item. Very fast and can be used in either hand.
Slap a Formula: Enchant Weapon - Fiery Weapon on it and any class can use it. Perfect for 1h warriors like tanks, rogues or any class that needs a stabber.
And if you're a dual wield class, you can keep using this in your off hand once you find something better for your main hand.

Once your character has leveled high enough that it becomes less useful you can simply send it to another alt, or even sell it on the AH/trade chat as a leveling weapon.

The one drawback it has is the relatively high level requirement of 14.
I can recommend the alternative Small Green Dagger for the lower requirement of lvl 5, but it is not as fast.
