Nice rare axe that is used by many twink warriors. Hits nice and hard for the 19 bracket. Enchant with fiery or lifestealing for maximum effiency. Sells for a pretty penny too if you aren't into the twinking fun! Drops rarely from mobs in Shadowfang Keep located in Silverpine Forest!

This as a twink weapon is now nerfed. With the new PvP system implemented by Blizzard on Dec. 5th, there is no point to twink other than being a very, very, very, rich 60 with nothing better to do.

Located in ShadowFang Keep. (In silverpine forest.) This axe is a rare drop. I found it off the 1st few mobs in it. A newb warrior rolled on it, and lost to me. I felt bad and gave him 10g. Dont make people feel bad itll ruin ur rep. with other people thinking ur a ninja. (like me)

this thing is the shiz zam for a warrior twink at lvl 19.

put a fiery enchant on it and this thing blows damage like a turbo charged fan. chance for the 40 fire damage and 60-90 shadow damage plus hitting for about 100 on a decent geared warrior (which most twinks are).

insane is the only word, takes on twink rogues and wins!
plus i can get it for bout 25G on my server :)

So for a 19 twink, here's my friend's and my idea. Get a Shadowfang with crusader and one of the 3 twink sheilds. Get +10 haste on gloves and on head. Put a +20 haste counterweight on this baby here. Spam hamstring with Shadowfang until crusader procs, then switch stances to Night Reaver. You should be hitting for 200-230 every 2.2-2.4 secs or so. We're gonna test it out soon and I'll let ya know.

this axe is even incredible for leveling, greens dont do 20 dps until late 20s and even then the proc cant be beat. if you can get it for say 30g or below def pick it up it saves you gold every few levels from weapon upgrading and time from AH stops.

EDIT i forgot to add, warriors you can use this axe until you can get someone to help you with your whirlwind weapon at 30

I found one on AH for only 25g on Cenarion Circle server. Using it for my soon to be twink warrior. Pallies and warriors able to use this should definitely look for this on AH, especially if its as cheap as mine was. This does the most damage per second out of any of the weapons (besides wands) up to this level.

Well i can say that if you really want this to your warrior/paladin twink. Then you must Check AH often cause on my server Chromaggus i Farmed SFK with my 60 shaman and it took me months to farm it. So if you really want it then it's hard work(maybe i was just unlucky i dunno but i Farmed SFK twice a day vefore getting it after 2-3 months)

VERY nice BoE 2H axe from SFK.... Although for me it dropped off of Springvale, it drop from just about anything in there. As you can tell by the drop-rate, you'll be very lucky to ever even see it drop, heehee.
Since it can be used at lvl 18, it's a DAMN good twinking weapon, if your into that "ahem" sort of thing, and even if your not, it'll a) get lots of "WOW, nice axe!" tells and b) you'll eat up everything in your path. As mentioned above in previous posts, it'll see you through about 10 levels, so to about 29, maybe pushing it at 30.

Did I keep it? No. Why does a priest need an axe? You do occasionally see these on the AH, and there was one for about 75g, so to be competitive, I put mine up at 50g. Frigging thing sold in 10 minutes!! Moral of this story: if you can't use it, sell it, and make a very nice profit. People will always buy something like this. Don;t let it go for less than 30g in my opinion.... Hard lesson learned from a terrible Feet of the Lynx sale...

With regards to farming for this weapon, don't do it. Just because your friend managed to score one of these in a couple of runs doesn't mean you're going to do the same thing - that's what we call a fallacy. It's far more worth your time to do higher level quests for guaranteed cash flow rather than clear a low level instance repeatedly and pray for the best. You'll be sure to find one of these on the AH later on and you can buy it with the money you made doing quests and grabbing loot along the way.

this is just my opinion, i don't twink but if you are interested in twinking as a warrior, i would think that the Night Reaver may be a little better, because of the increased speed. altho that +11 str and +4 agil do look mighty good :P But https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=7230 is a BoP and Night reaver is a BoE so in ways the NR is less of a hassle.

It actiually depends on what kind of warrior you want. i personally best like to have a shield equipped, https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=12997 with stamina enchant on it, and then get Skeletal club with crusader untill you have got one of the many shadowfang keep blue items. I would suggest you get the rare https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=1482 , that is just my oppinion. with shield and mainhand wep, you'll reach a 10% better armor bonus and that is maybe the most important thing together with stamina.

This beauty goes for 100-150g on ZenedarEU, I got it on my 10th kill though.

I used this on my level 19 twink warrior for quite some time, and I got killed alot. I switched to Shield + 1H with Crusader and after that I seldom lose fights ;).

The info about the weapons says:

52-78 Damage
+1-5 Shadow Damage

Yet there is no sign of that additional Shadow Damage...
Not in the Game Window, as a yellow damage.
Nor in the Combat Log.

Combat log says: 's melle swing hits for 122 Phyisical Damage.
No word about Shadow Damage.

Can anybody tell me why?

got this for a dps set on my twink warrior. put counterweight on it (lolz!) and have 10 haste chant on gloves. That may seem completely stupid but right now im hitting at 2.78 speed with this thing and 43 dps with shout up. I do like smights more tho because it hits like a train and is slow to proc crusader. my twink is thesandman on ghostlands. i HIGHLY recomend getting this ax if smights/ runicdarkblade/glacial stone arent options.

i forgot to add (thats a great comment lestrix) this is not exactly the "perfect weapon" for warrior twinks if you are putting crusader on it.. (hence the counterweight) a better chant for this would be the 25 agility option or lifestealing due to its very high proc rate and even a counterweight for a straight up dps increase.

i'm surprised no-one mentioned this yet, but if wouldn't this be better with a +25 agility enchant, then get crusader on smites mighty hammer? beacause, from what ive heard, crusader procs more on a slower weapon, and since that 15 seconds of 100 extra str is gonna be a huge boost to your dps, your gonna want it to proc as much as possible? maybe if you want quick, fast attacks, get this +25 agility, or even a 1h wep + redbeard crest, with 15 agility and a felsteel spike? if i'm wrong, please correct me and go ahead, get this comment marked down.

this axe hits relativly low for the 19 bracket (compared to other blues/greens and heirloom items..) and is a total waste of money unless u want to use heroic strike as fast as possible. sader would be O.K. on this but favors slower weapons. for this i would try a counterweight or 25 agility.

WOOT i found it super cheap as in 50 g! my gm been looking for it for his warrior for 3 months hes gona hate me but i found that black malice is a alternitive if you want to go cheap it only 1 dps less and proc is 5 damage less thats it i have black malice with crusader on it i guess i got to sell it to my gm lol if you find this under 100 g BUY it whether twinking or not because you can resell easily for 200 g if there are twinks on your sever its gone for 600-800 g most of the time after nerf it droped to 300-350 and i got it for 50 g im so happy! only wep i would consider buying for dps gear now would be shadowfang because it is basicaly a 2h that is in a 1h skin 17 dps is great when this is only 20

Since 4.0.3 - Warriors level 19 twinks (FURY) would be better off with the following weapon(s):

For highest dps/dmg = 2x Shadowfang.
enchanted with Crusader.
enchanted with +15 Strength.

2nd highest dps/dmg = 2x Skeletal Club.
enchanted with Crusader.

u EQUIPPED THIS at lvl 24? that is by far the stupidest act i have ver seen anyone do. This axe (being boe) goes for between 100-400g depending on your server. At lvl 24 u might get a couple lvls out of it but then, ud find something better and move on. If you do not have a twink and are past lvl 19 DO NOT EQUIP THIS, sell it and u will be able to buy a much better item for your level

According to my counter, this weapon procs about 1/5 as much as the Fiery Enchant.

192 fiery procs to 38 Shadowbolt proc

Of course, the average damage of the shadowbolt was almost twice the average of fiery.

not bad for a lvl 18 weapon, considering Fiery is somewhat of a high enchant.

Svek, my level 19 warrior twink, has been running BG�s on Azshara for some time now, during that time I have done quite a bit of research and found a few useful tricks to help maximize a character. Some of these tricks may not work for all classes and some only work for horde or alliance (I am Horde personally, also I should mention that a number of these tips are really obvious but I am adding them to help beginner twinks).
As far as I�ve seen, the four most useful classes to twink out are Warriors, Hunters, Paladins and Rogues, followed closely by Mages, Warlocks and Priests, of course that�s not to say that Druids and Shamans have no place � druids, for example, are great flag runners.
As far as Professions go, Engineering is an absolute must. One of the defining features of a true twink is the infamous pair of Green Tinted Goggles. With +8 stam and +7 spi, this cloth helmet is one of two at this level that actually benefits your character. Making and wearing these goggles requires you take Engineering. Aside from the goggles there are several useful items � the flame deflector absorbs up to 500 fire dmg (useful if theres a mage harassing you) and my all time favorite the Explosive Sheep. A robot sheep follows you around for three minutes, walks up to the first guy you come upon and explodes, dealing 135 to 165 dmg to all enemies close by. The nicest thing about this item is it sees thru stealth and moves faster than a stealthed rogue. Baa Baa Bang! F**k I�m Dead!
If you take a Gnome Engineer you will be able to make Discombobulator Rays � turns the enemy into a Leper Gnome, reducing melee and spell dmg by 40 and speed by 20% for 12 seconds. I hate being Discombobulated�
For your second Profession, that�s up in the air. My only recommendations would be Mining as it supplies a lot of the material needed for Engineering, or Alchemy, since you will be consuming a lot of potions.
The only other useful helmet to be had would be the Lucky Fishing Hat. This cloth helmet is a reward for catching one of the rare Keefer�s Angelfish in the Booty Bay fishing competition and grants +15 stam! In order to fish in STV you will need to have your fishing maxed out to 150 and have a few stacks of Aquadynamic Fish Attractors, which are a product of Engineering (yet another reason to take it). I recommend you have a higher level friend with you to take care of any mobs you agro.
As far as the other armor you use goes there are too many to name. I personally use Defender chest legs and shoulders, Thorbia�s Gauntlets, Silver-linked Footguards, Fortified bracers and belt. Being a Warrior, most of the items I take are �of the Bear� but since Stamina is a Twinks best friend take those if they�re available. If you want to go for crits then take �of the Monkey�
Some of the best Twink gear is only available to Alliance players (grrrr). The Glacial Stone is a two-hand mace, 21 dps with chance on hit 75 frost dmg, and the Gutterblade is a one-hand axe, 16.1 dps with +3 str and +3 stam, but you can only take one. These are quest rewards for completing �Raene�s Cleansing� in Ashenvale, look for a guy named Krolg. The Seal of Wrynn is a very nice ring, +3 str +3 agi +4 stam +4 int and +3 spir, talk to Baros Alexston in Stormwind to get the �An Audience With the King� quest. The Quiver of the Night Watch is a 12 slot quiver, +11% ranged attack speed, available thru Commander Althea Ebonlocke in Duskwood. The Talbar Mantle is a cloth shoulder with +3 stam and +6 int, these are the only shoulders available to Alliance Twinks that give a stat buff so I would recommend these to any class, even warriors and pallys. They are available thru the �In Nightmares� quest from Falla Sagewind in the Barrens. Finally there are the delectable Chausses of Westfall, mail pants +11 str +5 stam available thru �The Defias Brothers� quest from Gryan Stoutmantle in Westfall (oooh /drool, would that I were Alliance� I mean� For The Horde!)
Now for the Horde side. Some of the items I have found are mainly useful as cheap substitutes for the much rarer and extremely expensive BOE�s that make up the majority of Twink gear. First, if you can�t afford or find the Feet of the Lynx, go get either the Trailblazer Boots � leather +7 agi +3 stam, available from the �Horde Presence� quest from Kadrak in the Barrens, or the Grizzled Boots � leather +3 str +7 stam, available thru �The Book of Ur� quest from Andrew Hilbert in Silverpine Forest, this quest also offers the Steel-clasped Bracers, mail +6 stam +1 spir (hmmmm, just discovered these, might have to go get them). The Bow of Plunder is 15.4 dps, which is better than the PVP bows which are 15.2 dps, but not quite as good as the Venomstrike at 15.8 from Wailing Caverns (the Venomstrike also has a proc of 31-45 nature dmg � this is THE twink bow to have btw, whether you�re a hunter or not). The Bow of Plunder quest is called �Dangerous� and is gotten off a poster hanging on the wall next to the Inn�s door at Tarren Mill. Like the Alliance, the Horde only has one set of shoulders available that has some kind of stat buff. The Ghostly Mantle is a cloth shoulder with +5 int +6 spir, but without the stamina the Ally shoulders have I would only recommend this to casters. The Crescent Staff, 20.3 dps +7 stam +7 int +7 spir and the Wingblade, main-hand sword 15.7 dps +5 agi +2 stam are available from the �Leaders of the Fang� quest, which is at the end of a chain of quests that start with Hamuul Runetotem in Thunder Bluff. Arguably the best ring available is the Seal of Sylvanas, +3 str and +8 stam! This ring is a must for all Horde Twinks and is available from Dalar Dawnweaver in the Sepulcher, get the �Arugal Must Die� quest.
As far as other equipment goes I have a few suggestions as well. Up until recently there was only one necklace available, that was the WSG reward Scouts/Sentinels medallion +6 agi +2 stam. Now there is the Thick Bronze Necklace available from jewelcrafters +3 stam, definitely worth getting if you don�t have the medallion yet. As a mate to the Seal of Wrynn/Sylvanas I would recommend either the Blood ring +5 stam, or the PVP reward rings.
Aside from the various Engineering trinkets you can make, there are only two Trinkets available for lev 19 characters, the PVP Insignia and the Arena Grand Master. The AGM gives +12 to dodge rating and has a cool down that absorbs the next 750 to 1250 dmg for 20 seconds and is available out of the chest in the Gurubashi Arena. For those not familiar with the arena, heres the run down. At the top of every even hour of the day (Midnight, Two, Four, Six, etc.) a goblin walks out into the middle of the arena and places a chest, he more or less says �GO!� and everyone in the arena, be they Horde or Alliance, get to fight over it. This is a very difficult piece to get for a level 19 so bring a couple friends to fight anyone else that may be vying for the chest. I believe the best way to get this item is to go in with as many friends grouped up as you can, drop out of their group, have them kill you out in the middle of the arena before the match starts then run your spirit back to the arena. DON�T REZ! Just stand in the middle until the chest is dropped and your friends kill everyone else, when its clear rez and grab the chest. It�s not a guaranteed this item will drop but its definitely worth trying, and if you can get two you can equip both for the added dodge rating.
Now for something sneakier. If you don�t use your ranged weapon very often and aren�t worried about how much damage it deals equip something with some stat bonuses to it. Whether you have your ranged weapon out or not you still benefit from any stat buffs it has. There are a number of things that give a point or two to various stats, its not much but at such a low level every bit counts. Theres the Quel�thalas Recurve, Arugoo�s Crossbow of Destruction, and the Huntsman�s Crossbow, each give +1 agi. There are also two thrown weapons that have stat buffs, the Throat Piercers +2 agi and the Thick Bronze Darts +2 str. Finally there is The Hand of Argus Crossfire gives +1 agi and +1 stam, I recommend this one for the stamina (I can�t tell you how many times I�ve limped away from a fight with less than ten life, of course thats usually when that level 10 guy I�ve been murdering all game shows up and makes his only kill�)

Ultimately, good gear is not enough, Enchantments make a Twink the rampaging pain in the arse they are meant to be. The best combo to gain health is +100 health to chest, +7 stam to boots, +9 stam to bracers. For your helmet buy a Libram of Constitution out of the AH and have a high level friend complete the quest for you, give them your helmet when they are done so they can enchant it and that will give you another +100 health. In all reality with the right gear and enchantments a Warrior Twink, for example, can have over 1600 life without using a single spell buff or potion. Add to that a Rumsey Rum Blacklabel for 150 life, a scroll of stamina for 50 more, eat some Goblin Deviled Clams for 60, get a priest to buff you for another 80 and you�re unstoppable.

Selling Night Reaver on Kul Tiras server for around 50g on Alliance Side. Whisper Thisissparta if you willing to part your gold. I have sold this weapon twice before and both times it was to a twink warrior so imo I think it is a the best twink warrior 2h weapon. Slap a crusader on it and go own the BG's.

To the post above me, it isn't 0% it is just such a low possibility of looting it that rounded it is closer to zero then 0.1%.

I have this on my warrior twink named Warrzone (shadowmoon realm) All he needs is wsg rewards and fishing gear. I've done a crit of 467 before (with buffs of course lol) and I'm thinking that I can maybe crit higher. Anyway, this is great for DPS, try it out :P

If you want the best chance to get this axe when you walk in type /target deathsworn (i made a macro) this is a rare guy that has a higher drop percentage on this axe than anyone he is rare so dont expect to target him every time

Note that to overpower somebody depends on the "weapon-damage".

22,01 DPS Glacial Stone (already included 1,04 DPS Frost due to 5% proc)
21,41 DPS Smites Mighty Hammer (0,44% crit included and 1,6 dps due to attack power)
21,32 DPS Night Reaver (0,71 DPS Shadow proc included)

Due to overpower for warriors and judgement for paladins Glacial Stone should be a priority for both classes.

At low dodge levels on opponent were the chance of overpower is little and due to armor and its damage mitigation Night Reaver with its shadow damage can to a large extent out-dps Smites Mighty Hammer. Due to shadow resistance on UD Night Reaver is better for Horde than Alliance.

This does a massive amount of damage for it's level, i had it drop on my cow warrior while soloing for the butchers cleaver, never got the cleaver in the 27 times i killed him, but this baby made me happy when it dropped!

I use a Shadowfang, and a Redbeard Crest (shield). Warriors that use this weapon actually stand a chance against my level 19 Paladin. Level 19 Warriors have crit me for 250-300 damage with this weapon. Even though thats only 1/5 of my total health, they were still pretty strong blows.

just got this on my Tauren shaman last night (along with Feline Mantle) i watched my dps jump way up from the piddly little axe i had been using. i crit alot more (at least 1-2 times per mob) and with Flurry that's ggggrrrrreeeeeaaaaaatttttttt!

In fact that's all but impossible to farm it. It took me about 60-70 runs to finally find it. Obviously it requires patience, but every 5-6 runs in average you'll get a " binds when equipped item ", and most of them can be sold for good prices, compensating the time lost seeking your item. Especially if you're lucky enough to pick up an assassin's blade (or shadowfang), you'll end up with insane profits, although that's not the first place for gold farming...

Bought this for 7g at lvl18, and with a +3dmg enchant on it, it completely owned WSG. 26 now, and I'm still using it.
This thing procs quite a lot, often more than once per fight.

In short, it's great, and if you can get it, it's more than worth the cash.

Is Glacial Stone better? I don't think so really .. the only advantage Glacial has is the 0.6 dps extra, the Chance On Hit then again on Night Reaver is slightly better then the one on Glacial Stone .. so there isn't much difference between the two. For Alliance, Glacial Stone is a must, since it's much cheaper, but us Horde twinks will do just fine with this beauty!
