Well there are two things to know about the big tent:
1. It's filled with questionably dressed hot chicks.
2. The hot chicks are powerful casters who want to kill you.

The Twilight Precipice during this quest (and its related quests) provides an unusual pickpocketing opportunity for rogues. If you head to the incline where Gorsik the Tumultuous and an Agate Mancrusher are located, you will find them fighting an endlessly spawning group of about 6 Twilight Soulreapers. These can be safely pickpocketed without worry of random aggro or breath attacks from the Pyremaws flying around (unlike most of the rest of the area). The mobs are picked off at a steady rate by Gorsik and the Agate Mancrusher, and respawn almost as soon as they're killed.
Half an hour of pickpocketing netted me 11 Rogue's Draughts, a dozen lockboxes, and enough blood red ale to make a dwarf queasy.
