Tunnel is right behind him - just hit your Half-Burnt Torch and Darkflight and run through - quest target is on other side of tunnel. Creatures you scare are level 4 Graveyard Rats.

Just swim for it and screw the tunnel. As a mage with no damage mitigation at this level you are also getting clobbered with spiders that arent affected by the knockback. The 1 second CD on the torch seems like 10 minutes when you have a hundred of the critters eating you. And good luck getting your body back if you are half way down the tunnel.

If you get killed in the tunnel, it looks like you release right next to the turn in. I'll take the rez sickness and repair bill over having to do that particular corpse run any day.

Considering the swim was right next to me, and I had NO IDEA how to find this 'tunnel', I just jumped and swam. Why bother spending a half an hour trying to find a way under the city to find a tunnel (wherever it is).

after finishing the Quest chain the city phases and the tunnel becomes empty. For you achievement people, this is one of the few places with insta-spawn critters. you can easily complete the guild achievements for critters with 3 lvl 12 AoE class characters. My guild made a few throw away toons, leveled them to this quest and just started farming. worked like a charm.

For all who are looking for the tunnel... Go down the stairs right next to the quest giver... It took me about five minutes to realize those stairs where there, lol.

Yes, right next to the quest giver. I went all the way to Queen's Gate looking for a tunnel. >.<

By the way, this was extremely easy. Put auto run on and spam the torch.

If your a derp like i am and have no idea where the Sewer entrance is until after you've done the quest and see someone coming out of the sewers, there's no chance of death and its pretty fast if you go on the right path, 1st you go to the gate a little bit south of Genn. you go up the road with the danger signs on them, climb up (theres a small part in the side you can run up) the first break in the road, then at the next one theres a split in the rock that you can pass through, then you should see the house Krennan is at. Hope this helps!

Fast and amusing quest. Somewhat less amusing when, after handing in the quest (and torch), a tidal wave of brassed off rodents flooded out of the tunnel and nibbled me to death. Curse you, Willard.
