These guys use Renew and Inner Fire, along with normal heals that make them very hard to kill. If you burn away their mana, they're much easier.

These are really hard in groups of two if you can't disrupt their heals quickly. You disrupt one, and the other starts casting while your anti-cast is still on cooldown

These (and the Venture Co Geologists) are really, really easy to kill as a rogue. With some good timing and one to two Sword Spec procs, you can kill them without taking any damage. Just Cheap Shot, 2x Sinister Strike, Kidney Shot, Sinister Strike and they should be dead. Perfect to farm Blinding Powder, use the Pick Pocket - Cheap Shot macro:

Once patch 2.3 is released, the cooldowns on their heals will be longer. Therefore, this mob is no longer annoying to most players.

These are quite annoying... I tried to do a massive pull of 5 mobs (3 fighter, 2 medics) and they just kept healing each other, the heals we're very, very annoying for me. Good luck, don't even try taking them by groups.

For a rogue this should be easy.. sap one and kill/kick/stunlock the other.
for priest a bit of mana burn could solve the problem though it around the 3casts to bring them down to 0 mana

as a shaman the best way to handle them is to ALWAYS use "dispel". They have an armor buff of +241 (or something close to that). when they get to about 20% health use "earth shock" to disrupt their healing spell (which heals them nearly to max health) Just reserve your mana for the earth shock spell and they will fall like dominoes!

These guys have weak melee attacks, but they're lethal in.. packs?
My gorilla and I attempted to take on 4 of them, took them at least a minute or so to bring him down, they kept healing which was the annoying part.
So make sure you have a way of interrupting heal, Stuns, silences, whatever.

For the warlocks who already did the felpup quest, it makes this killing these guys immensely easier. Even though it's only a dispel being provided, it's amazing how much the reduction in healing by taking off renew is.

I pop Aspect of the Viper, and auto-attack these guys on my hunter.

Their renews are ticking for as much as my damage is doing, then they pop a greater heal? God I hate these guys on my 30 Hunter. >_>

as a 32 priest their heal is more powerful than mine lol so if u don't have good gear as a priest when healing MC these guys and save ur mana.

So my server went down. I logged back in as it came back, but there were no mobs. A few seconds later, they all spawned at once. And there way medicine men. Many of them. On every spawn spot they share with the fighers, a medicine man. And now way to get fighters without killig them all.

A Razzashi Hatchling just dropped off of one of these guys for me. It was completely random and unexpected. This confirms that it will drop off of any mob in Northern Stranglethorn.

They can self-heal themselves back to full health... they wait and do it when you have them down to about 20% health so if you for some reason can't get a crit in at 20%, you're screwed and have to work them down all over again. And maybe I'm wrong, but it doesn't seem like their armor gets any weaker each time. So really, if you have slow attack speed (warriors, paladins), it seems more like you're fighting a level 38 mob than a level 32 one.

Oh, and don't even think about soloing two of these guys together until you're at least 36 or 37, have AoE, or are in a group... because they'll just heal each other off forever. Sucks.

they r easy 2 kill.....if u can interupt spellcasting
they r really weak so all u need 2 do is get em 2 low health, they try 2 heal, u interupt and they dont try 2 heal agen. easy kill

do these guys drop fadeleaf? or is the only way to get it is from herbalism?

No,it's not the only way. You gather it as the others. In STV you can find some fadeleaf near water and other more like blindweed,liferoot,etc.

These guys are pretty annoying. They regen health about 6-7% per tick.. so you got to kill them fast, drain their mana if you can. Not very fun and quite annoying, but oh well =)

Well I am a rogue between kick, gouge and a caster specific poison I will probably shred these guys. And as far as Fadeleaf (why I came here) almost 8% is not that bad for those that say "unreliable". Several posts mention these guys as the main thing to farm for it.

even with interupting them sometimes they cast it anyways might be a glitch though and they do drop fade leaf but it's more like 1% i went through there like 10 times and got 1.

these r a #$%^& to kill as a hunter. i took beast mastery so i dont hav any interupts. i found the best way to kill them is just wait til they run out of mana healing themselves then DPS them down

Lol , if you are a rogue you can take 2 Medicine Man easy, if one guy heal , you kick them , or stunn , i always kill them for fun :)

I hate fighting these guys, im a 33 Ret Pally, wouldnt think i would have a problem witht the DPS i can deal, but no, if im fighting two they just kept healing each other when the one gets low, nothing i could do, i even braught them both down at the same time and they both healed back to full.... my stun has a 1 minute cool down, and that ALOT of time for one of them to heal. In other words, you better crit alot if you want to take on more then 1. Specialy for paladins.

Sucks as a druid also. No stuns apart from Bash which has a long cooldown. Fighting two is a pain in the ass.

Ok, so these guys are a complete pain in the ass.

I'm on a 31 warrior, and it really feels like i'm fighting something five levels higher, not one level higher. I'm using a 2.9 speed two handed sword, and getting one of these guys down alone takes alot of patience.

First off, they have a HoT, they will constantly have it up, if it runs out they will cast it again. For all you warriors out there, think you're going to get your execute? Think again! Their renew just ticked and the mob is now over %20 health and is casting it's heal.

The heal itself will put the mob back upto %100, and as a warrior with a two hand sword you have no way to interupt it. I started to switch to a shield and one handed sword when the mob approached %50, but it wasn't particularly reliable because my damage drops a whole load, not to mention shield bash can miss.

The best solution i came up with as a warrior with a two handed sword was to beat the mob down till %50ish in berserker stance then as soon as you see the mob start to cast his heal, back off and then intercept. This is definatly doable, assuming you have the rage and the reactions to back it up.

Like i say, absoloute pain in the back side, but i guess thats just Blizzard for you.

I had two drop for me on the killing spree for the Jungle Remedy quest.

Also the nice box in the middle of the camp had a bar of Truesilver in it for me :)

The medicine men are the biggest pain in the arse I have come across, the amount of heals they can kick out is shocking.

If you get an add hope to heck it isn't another medicine man.

Class: Priest
Level range: 32-33
Health: Unknown.
Mana: 935 at Level 32, 963 at Level 33.

Spells:
Inner Fire: They keep this buff spell up perpetually. This increases their armour by around 720, I believe. 20 successful hits on the mob will use up this spell's charges and remove it.
Renew: They cast either Renew on themselves once down to 90% health.
Heal (Greater? Flash? Not sure): They heal themselves once they reach below 50% health.

Priests have the advantage over these guys.
If you pay attention to their actions you will see when they cast Renew/Rejuvination on themselves. You can then use Dispel Magic to remove it. If you only have Rank 1 you may have to cast twice as the first time may just remove Inner Fire instead.

Once they get down to 50% health they will try and heal themselves. You can either mana burn them until they have no mana beforehand, or simply stop them from healing. To stop them from healing, first ensure you have WoW's new Target-of-Target feature turned on in the bottom of Interface Options. They will target themselves before they try to heal themselves, so the moment they do this, stop them by stunning or silencing them.

I suggest you grind these for their Jungle Remedies a lot. These will serve you well even at level 60.

Suprised nobody has mentioned that these mobs are PERFECT to raise weapon skill if you're level 30-40.

As a paladin just use the fastest/lowest damage weapon you can find, put on armor/stamina gear, Seal of the Crusader (+40% attack speed) and whack away. They are PRIEST MOBS so they cast inner fire (armor), renew and heal (to full) which is perfect for this purpose.

WIth a Paladin and low damage weapon/gear you can almost AFK raise weapon skill, just need to throw a Holy Light on yourself every minute or so.
