Unfortunately, after finishing all the quests that send you through the Twilight's Hammer chain in Hyjal and you "graduate," this vendor is no longer available. Best to stock up on your Unidentifiable Meat Dish and Oily Giblets while you can!

I haven't done one or two quests in Mount Hyjal that lead me there from Orgrimmar and I still can't see this NPC.

This vendor is opened with the quest Twilight Training. You receive this quest not long after doing the 3rd flame gate. I was at 108/115 quests in Hyjal when I started this quest. If using the food vendor tracking on your mini-map, this NPC does not show up. He is located in front of a cart by a pillar.

I hate these phasings. Nobody at AH is selling them, and when theres one item it goes for 50g. Whats this, now we need alts to park in the vendor or something?. Ridiculous.

If you are looking for Edric Downing in order to complete Cataclysmically Delicious AND you did your 80-82 leveling in Vashj'ir instead of Mount Hyjal you will still be able to interact with him! (after some questing.) You can start the very long quest chain in Nordrassil with Ysera. Just follow it as it takes you around the map, from the Circle of Cinders, to the Shrine of Goldrinn, to the Grove of Aessina, to the Shrine of Aviana. I finished the quests in the chain including the first firegate and then began doing quests from the large turtle, Tortolla. You can skip the second firegate quests. The quest line that will lead you to Grunka begins with the quest The Strength of Tortolla. This chain will bring you to a quest called Signed in Blood. Once you have this quest you can access Edric. You do not need the cultist disguise. Edric is the only vendor that sells Oily Giblets and Unidentifiable Meat Dish.

Grunka, another NPC in this camp, is the only vendor (outside of Zungam in Zul'Aman) that sells Murky Water, Rock-Hard Biscuit, and Vile Purple Fungus, also needed for Cataclysmically Delicious, as well as Drown Your Sorrows. So be sure to snatch those up while you're there!

What annoys me more is that I bought the foods and ate them before the achievements had been brought into the game and now it has not been counted towards them, however I have long since passed the stage of the game in which I could buy these items.

I'm not sure how much help this will be, but this vendor showed up for me at 108 quests into Hyjal.

If you have an alt who hasn't done Hyjal, you can work your way through it to the vendor and this should give you SOME idea of how far you have to go.

I'm currently selling his achievement food on my server for purchase value +AH costs because I think the limited window in which these are available is a little unfair for something trivial like a 20 point achievement. I'm wondering if Blizz will have a second vendor sell these like they did with Grunka, but if not you can gain good karma or decent money by selling these on the AH.

If you're like me, the first place you jumped into when Cata dropped was Hyjal. I mean, who wasn't intrigued by that gate that you couldn't get into for so long? If you're like me, then you also missed your chance at the achievement by completing the area too soon.

At 104 u should have sapped that Twilight Recruit for his papers. Right after that quest you can fly straight to The Forge of Supplication, where Grunka, Eric Downing, and the rest of the NPCs have now spawned.

As of patch 4.3, Gronk Hamcheeks in Twilight Highlands sells the items for the achievements.
