they kept respawning endlessly for me
not that they give good loot,
but they gave 90 exp at lvl 15 (with lvl 6 guild perks, without any BoA)

This mob is an excellent choice for the purpose of farming small eggs. Instant respawn near the corpse of the beached whale along the coast; I was able to obtain several stacks of eggs in less than 10 minutes.

Has anyone tamed this Carrion as a pet? The look is decent and it learns lots of skills, seeming to be a decent low to mid level choice. Any experience to confirm or contradict this?

I must admit I do like this pet, as I am a hunter who uses mostly bird-type pets.

On looks, I prefer an owl, though when I tamed it to get Screech, I kept this pet in the stables as I liked it and thought if I got bored of my owl, I'd have a spare pet.

The carrion birds might not have the best looks, but they can learn another skill that the bats and owls cannot. They can learn to bite. And if youre switching from a cat type pet to a bird type you will already have this skill. Easy choice for a bird if u ask me.

This is the only mob in the game that has Screech 1. If you have an owl from Teldrassil, you're going to need to tame this guy to give him Screech at level 8.

To train as Horde, just go to Grom'gol on the Zepplin, and walk up the coast to the Zalandar island, trying not to die until you get there. After that, just swim. And keep swimming.

There's a skeleton of a whale or something on the northern half of the shore of westfall, and the fleshrippers live there. Being on a PVP server, this is far safer than walking into Westfall proper, as you will assuredly get corpse camped.

Oh yeah it's really easy to take the raod north out of STV ....unless you're a low level and will be getting killed by every friggin Panther and Tiger you see. Don't be a jerk unless you know what you're talking about.

This is the only bird that can teach Screech 1. Screech 2 doesn't become available until lvl 32 Salt Flats Vulture in Thousand Needles.

I have done my best to provide Map Mouseovers for each and every beast, wherever possible!
Unfortunately some do not yet have maps, but these will automatically be added to this post when they're added to the NPC's page.

Effect lasts 4 sec.
Can be learned by: Bat, Carrion Bird, Bird of Prey.
