Fitting, I suppose, that this weapon is the only Deathwing drop that doesn't have a proc, considering other circumstances this tier.

An excellent dagger, especially for assassination rogues, until you can get the first pair of daggers from the legendary quest that is.

**Important Update!**

After the December 13th, 2011 maintenance, it's become exclusive for Rogue

Some items were recently reclassified. This is one such item, so you might find yourself in possession of one of these items and are no longer able to use it. If you looted an item from Looking for Raid which replaced another and you need Game Master assistance to recover your old item, please place a petition with the new item name, that you can no longer use it - and the old item name you need restored.

As a part of the on-going evaluation of Looking For Raid and the loot system, we have recently implemented a change to the Looking For Raid Need Plus system. Weapons, trinkets, rings, neck pieces, shields, offhand items, and the Robe of Glowing Stone are now class-restricted to their intended users. With the speed at which a Raid Finder group moves through a zone, we’ve found that it makes it challenging for players to evaluate loot decisions – by class restricting these items, we hope that the natural behavior will have a more positive set of results for everyone involved. This change will not apply to normal or heroic raid or dungeon loot rules.

uhm...is it only me to consider Electrowing Dagger much better despite the ilvl?

EDIT: I meant for combat offhand, so yeah this one is probably meant to be MH for other specs

I'm confused in why this dagger is even part of the loot table. I would use the tier 1 daggers over these anyday....

Combat rogues, skip this weapon. In your main hand, it is vastly inferior to any halfway decent weapon with a speed of 2.6, such as Trickster's Edge that drops from Peroth'arn in the Well of Eternity.
This is because your main abilities, Sinister Strike and Revealing Strike are more powerful with a slower weapon. The difference is about 44% between a 2.6 and a 1.8 weapon (coincidentally, the legendary daggers offer a 45% damage bonus to both of those abilities, to compensate for the higher speed.)

You need a 1.4 speed dagger in your off-hand. Electrowing Dagger is your best option before you can hit normal mode, but similarly to your main hand choices, Mandible of the Old Ones will also beat this weapon by a mile.

Also, it's ugly.

Patch 5.0.4 Update:
Off-hand dagger speed has been normalized to 1.8, which makes this item better than electrowing dagger or the mandible of the old ones in your left hand.

Also, it's still ugly.
