while this really looks to be the best tanking enchant, i'll not give myself completely out of Blade Ward's extra threat with all those frost DKs pulling stuff out of me.

I enchanted this on my Soul Blade, and the proc chance is pretty high actually. havent counted it but atleast with paladin tank with its on pretty often.

Enchanted this on my weapon last night. Confirming a saw a 30% uptime (not proc-rate).

Beating on a raiding target dummy for 3:30 minutes, it had 8 procs for a 31.8% uptime. This is also in a low-hit, low -exp scenario.

It seemed to proc on melee hits, as well as things like Crusader Strike and Avenger's Shield. Paladin-wise, I'm guessing anything that can proc a seal will have a chance to proc this enchant too.

Just to add this as a reminder:
Blade Warding is also available out there. If you don't have the mats for Windwalk then maybe you can get this. The only thing that sucks about this is that it's an Ulduar 25 recipe so not everyone will know it which in turn means: it will cost a lot unless you ask someone nicely and have the mats.

I too shall add a few things to this lovely little enchant from a ret pally perspective. First, both Judgement and Hammer of Wrath have a chance to proc this too, which is quite amazing since Pursuit of Justice/Long Arm Of The Law stacks with this. Thus greatly increasing your mobility in general, and turns you into The Flash when Windwalk procs on a LaotL judgement. Yes, we finally get a sprint animation for the damn ability with this enchant. That's reason enough to get it. lol.

Also, I can't confirm this, but when I used Seal of Righteousness with the Seals of Command talent, I noticed the proc chance went up drastically. Like, a lot. Further testing need to be done but that would be pretty sweet if true.

Can be Proc'ed by Lightwell

Not only does using your weapon in battle cause this enchantment to proc, it procs occasionally when clicking a Lightwell that a priest puts down. I also have a Holy Priest and want to encourage tanks and DPS'ers to use the Lightwell more often when it is available, and this is another benefit for clicking it for a powerful HoT. There is a macro available on the Lightwell comments page for quickly targeting the Lightwell, so that it doesn't take away much of your valuable time tanking or DPS'ing the enemy. In long boss encounters, where a Priest may quickly burn up their mana, using the Lightwell may help prevent a wipe.
If anyone else is aware of other activities, besides using the weapon in battle, that may cause this enchantment to proc, please comment.
