When it says that, does that mean it's coming up in a next content patch or something? This weapon's stats are massive, undoubtedly it goes without saying that any raid that comes across this in 25m will give this to their DPS Death Knight, Paladin, or Warrior, I'd even go as far as to say this could be a druid weapon but theres no Agi, would a druid benefit much from this even without agi? Anyway just throwing it out there.

185 Str for a DPS Paladin, Warrior, and DK = 370 Attack Power
209 Stam = 2090 Raw Health obviously
3 Sockets could (and Should IMO) be socketed with 3 raw Str gems, since theres no socket bonus to warrant putting anything else then a red strength gem. Unless you need Hit, Expertise, or Armor Pen (but you shouldnt be in this raid anyway if you need Hit).

3.60 speed is nice and slow for a melee dps, I should point out to anybody who doesn't know or hasn't played a Melee DPS class, the slower the better for a DPS user. There are 3 weapons in total that are 3.90 or 4.00 and they're all Pre-BC blues. I won't go into detail, but they are Gri'lek's Carver, Pendulum of Doom, and The Blackrock Slicer. This obscenely slow speed is needed for melee's Instant Attacks.

And the model has a green tint, looks ethereal, has spikes and lights all over the place. /want

In all honesty, before the release of lich king this was Bis Feral druid weapon. Its a direct upgrade to the 264 heshir's greatstaff since that is better then 264 cryptmaker but lacks a 277 weapon. Imo we should have as much right to take this weapon compared to warriors because we derive the same amount of STR from weapons as they do 2 for 1 ap. We also gain 8% more str stat which isnt as much as their 10% but still. Also with most high gear like this ferals have 2 choices. Go for all armorpen and still be so close to crit cap that str>agi on weapon anyway. Or go for regular gear and crit cap comes so easily that ferals begin to gem Str + str/haste so a str weapon doesnt hurt at such high item level.

btw warriors have been taking my leather and polearms for TOO LONG.

I could see this being amazing as a warrior in PvP... mace spec, 115 arpen, and 3 sockets adds up to quite a bit of arpen.

It's a fair need for a feral druid. Hell, more than fair.

I made some comments regarding Oxheart, which is a similar situation.

Who needs it more?

It's great for a feral tank. It's great for a DK. It's great for a warrior or pally.
The problem you're going to run into across the board is simply, a lot of people are going to be able to use any of the two-handed maces as upgrades.

Druid DO have fewer weapon choices, true, but that's part of the class. The "warrior" classes SHOULD be able to use most, if not all weapon types as a matter of "professional training". Would I want a staff for my DK? Uh.... not likely since they "never" have stats that are ideal for my class. Druid also have a lot more choices than previously. However, this only compounds things. Druids have to contend with a LOT of other classes on items, but that's because they CAN fill so many roles. The great thing about being a hybrid class is the wide range of everything you can do. The suck part is, you also have to contend with the "specialists" for a lot of the same items, and they don't have as much flexibility in their choices.

Don't forget, before WotLK, polearms weren't even an option for the class. Also before WotLK, for those who remember, staves were the weapons that gave feral attack power bonuses. Maces didn't offer ANY feral ap. Hell, I still remember my big moment of FINALLY getting a Staff of Natural Fury when in BC. My main back then was a druid.

Don't get me wrong. Not bashing druids. Hell, some of my FAVORITE tanks are druids (that was my role in my guild for the longest time.... take the beating, control the fight), like the 50k health bear that I ran HoL with the other night. In that situation, had this weapon dropped, I'd give it up to the druid who tanked. Personally, I'm in a spot where I'm pretty much guild-less currently, and running in raids I expect the guilds to look after their own. It's only right. I might still ask about a weapon, but I'm not gonna QQ if they say no.

As a matter of fact, this IS the BiS for DPS Feral Druids pre 25-man Arthas HM. This might sound weird, but you shoukdn't forget that :

- In an arpen hardcap logic, hit and arpen are the two most valuable stats ;
- Neither Str, Hit or Arpen are affected by Diminishing Returns ;
- Equipping this provides you with much more gemming versatility (namely, you can gem agi or agi / haste instead of Hit / arpen) ;
- All stats on Bloodfall and Distant Land are affected by Diminishing Returns.

Of course, it is also a matter of stuff. The better your stuff, the better that mace gets since DRs get more and more important. Currently, with my 251 /264 mixed stuff, Cryptmaker is about as good as Bloodfall or Distant Land. Once I have reached my BiS, it'll become by far the best weapon out there for me :) I suggest making your own calculations with the Toskk spreadhseet, which should confirm these assertions ^^

Nevertheless, this is not meant to be a Bear weapon. Both Bloodfall and Distant Land are far better options as far as TTL is concerned, the best options being the Wrathful Staves.

I got this badboy today on my warrior, our feral druid was very tempted to roll on it too, but he decided to not to since he thought it would benefit me more, but I said that he could take the next one, and ill take a second one after he got his.
I really is a great weapon, and all that ArP makes it very good for any ArP class, and the slow speed and high damage makes it nice for any 2h wielder.

Assuming you want to be a mace spec warrior for arenas, this is your BiS.

Of course Shadowmourne crushes mace spec, and yes, Axes are currently much better than maces for arenas, but for those who are determined to Hard Cap prior to Ruby Sanc this is your first choice, beating the Wrathful Crusher out due to the Armor Pen on it + a 3rd socket which the PVP items lack.

A very nice weapon for many classes, and thanks to a fairly high drop rate allowes people who are too far down the list for a shadowmourne to have another viable option. Good for Blood and Unholy DK's , and naturally Fury Warriors. I would not like to come up against a dual weilding warrior with this and a Shadowmourne that's for sure!
