As an Arcane mage, this trinket is rubbish, but because it has 5% spell hit, it almost perfectly bridges the gap for when you need to respec to fire. Not a must-get, but a very nice luxury to have in your backpacks.

it's like this thing was MADE for enhancement shaman. Hunters hate hit, but we crave it, like a fat kid wants cake.

Haste is also a great stat for us. Faster swings = More Maelstrom weapon procs.

Only downside is that its a use: not a equip:

Do this and Mark of Supremacy share a cooldown? There are a few niche fights where the extra dps on demand of blowing both may well provide an advantage. As you can't walk down the street in dalaran without getting tripped over, pinned down and badges stuffed in your pocket these aren't exactly hard to get now.

Shaman Elemental and Shaman Enhancement would both find great use of this; Elemental always benefits by shooting off spells quicker, while Enhancement get more MW procs out of haste. Mark of Supremacy is technically better for Enhance than this, but in the style I play, I prefer the haste bonus. This trinket makes having to gem for hit to get capped much less wasteful, since it provides more than 1/3rd of the hit needed to cap your spells (especially as a Draenei).

Stacks with the totem. Not sure about the Black Magic proc, but I'm thinking yes, since most procs are additive.

You cannot use this and Talisman of Resurgence at the same time. You have to wait for Talisman's buff to wear off before using this (15 seconds).

Yes Plaguetongue, all haste percent effects that come from yourself (your own abilities, talents, items) stack with each other (multiplicatively), and one third party haste effect as well. Items that add to your haste rating (not percent, but actual rating) are added to your haste rating, of course, so they aren't multiplied. There's exceptions to this, of course, as both Wrath of Air (5% spell haste) and Swift Retribution/Moonkin (3% haste) stack with each other... but basically, you can't benefit from both Power Infusion and Bloodlust. Power Infusion ends up having no effect. But both of those will stack with things like Icy Veins and your trinkets.

This is a GREAT trinket for demonology warlocks that aren't hit capped.

If you feel like getting some gear with no hit and some spirit on it (staffs, generally, which give tons of SP), this balances out your hit problems.

IMHO it's better than https://www.wowhead.com/cata/item=50259l since this one has a 2 min cooldown,instead of 3. Not to mention demo locks usually don't really need that much crit rating. (Again, demos only, i'm aware nevermelting ice is AWESOME for affli locks) And also better than Fetish of Volatile Power since well, as i said, demo locks usually don't need that much crit and besides that fetish needs to haste it up, while the shards give you the full effect from the start.

Thank goodness for pieces like this. Comes in handy when you lose the off set piece with hit. I had in fact forgot about emblem of triumph trinks as I have been progressing through ICC. This is a good dps caster trink to have in your backpack/bank for when you replace an item and lose quite a bit of hit.

For those of us casters who regularly swap between pvp and pve sets, this does wonders for making up the difference in hit needed. this and a pvp trinket or battlemaster trinket swap very nicely to help you get to whichever level of pve hit you need. a clean trinket swap helps to lessen the hit juggling on the rest of your gear.

not bad for triumph badges.
