Contrary to what Wowhead's data says right now, this can be farmed fairly reliably (~50%) off of the Jormungar Tunnelers in northern Dragonblight. There are a bunch in the area and they're clumped fairly tightly, so I recommend that place for farming if you're in your low-mid 70s.

Actually I find it a lot easier to farm this type of meat in the Ice Heart Caverns, towards the northern part of Dragonblight, in the area with the ice giants. The cavern is chalk full of Ice Heart Jormungar Feeders that are easy to kill and have a decent drop rate for the meat.

If you go to The Storm Peaks

Gimorak's Den which is located at 46,53

inside the cave you will find a bunch of Infesting Jormungar

These almost always drop Warm Meat and occasionally drop 2x per kill. By far the best place for farming these in my opinion.

I have gathered some, not sure if its enough to set exactly but at least give rough picture of it:

Hitandrun's worm massacre

Time elapsed: 47 minutes

Jormungar tunneler kills: 62

Worm meat acquired:40x

Droprate: 64% so wowhead is about right ( mine is not exact )

Vendor trash:

Slime drenched scale 37x

Grey armor 3x

Green items vendored: 3x made 12 g

Total gold acquired: 59 g and 40x worm meat = happy me

If you are a single-target grinder, it might be best for you to hit up Gimorak's Den in The Storm Peaks.

If you are a AoE grinder, like I am, I would strongly suggest the Crystal Vice in northern Dragonblight.

You don't have the chance of getting 2 meats per one, but there are several clumped together worms here (including the worm spawns, which also have a good chance to drop), meaning the more per gathering area. I had more meats from pulling the first two groups of mobs in that cave than the entire Gimorak's Den.

Gimorak's Den is good, but the mobs are simply far and few between.

In Gimorak's Den....by the time i made one full clear to the end of the cave (the wolf end) and started back, they were respawning.

As a chef, and a skinner, this was profitable no matter what i killed. If you arent a skinner, and only want worm meat, this probably isnt the best place as spawn rates are a bit slow on snakes only.

There is no cave there. The cave your talking about is at 58,13 Dragonblight at the very top of the zone.

Try farming around Hibernal Cavern, seems like a relatively high drop rate, lots of worms, all of them seem to give at least one meat to me, sometimes drop frostweave and some greens.

Edit: Found they dropped Chilled Meat.

Good place to get:
Grays (Vendorable for some gold)
Greens (Auction/Disenchant/Vendor)
Chilled Meat (Auction/Cooking Material)
Borean Leather (Auction/Leatherworking)

i agree with andonysis lots of meat in a very limited amount of time

On top of the icy plateau lots of hulking jormungar worms literally litter the place with a close to instant respawn rate. Take a little longer to kill since theyre elite but there is always one in your range so you never need to run far. Farmed this place with a lvl 70 disc priest (well geared of course) for a stack of worm meat.

The Jormungar Tunneler's at 51, 24 in The Dragon Wastes have more like a 10-15% drop rate.
