Any word on whether this is usable outside of Howling Fjord or Northrend as a whole? I was to captivated by the questline to bother testing it-But if it is, then we may be looking at the spiritual successor to Dartol's Rod.

What I did find, however, that all emote animations are the same as in Shaman Ghost Wolf.

I know we could keep the furblog form if we didn't complete the quest. Anyone know if we can keep this disguise by not finishing the quest as well?

Also if you abandon the quest, it will warn you that the Worg Disguise will be deleted as well. If you want to keep the disguise, you will always have to have the quest in your log.

Let's complain about this at blizzards forum, we want the worg disguise to be useable everywhere! (Atleast whole Northrend continent)

If you misplace your Worg Disguise or lose it when abandoning one of the quests then speak with Watcher Moonleaf (Alliance) or Sage Mistwalker (Horde) at Steel Gate and you will be provided a new one.

I turned in the second to the last quest. Didn't accept the last part, get to keep the Worg Disguise.
On another toon, accepted the last quest, abandoned it, I'm still in wolf form and Worg disguise still in my bag. Woot. hope Blizz don't change it.

Just as a warning, any damage you take while in disguise will remove it so you have to recast it again... so watch out if you're big on jumping as even the smallest bit of fall damage may earn you the unwanted attention of any nearby worgs.

If you do the first quest, the one to find Ulfang - and if you don't pick up his follow up, then the item will remain in your inventory and you don't have to keep the quest in your quest log. I tried logging out too and it was still there. Oh, and macro:

#showtooltip
#/use worg pup
/use worg disguise
/use dartol's rod of transformation
/script UIErrorsFrame:Clear()

Added the '/use worg pup' as a suggestion. It's commented out.
It'll use worg disguise if possible - as in if you're in Howling Fjord, or otherwise turn you into a furbolg, if you have the rod.

For hunters out there, using this will not despawn your pet so if you want to form your own mini wolf pack, have a wolf pet and summon a worg pup minipet.

This item is awesome.

It's unfortunate that you could only use this in Howling Fjord... however... this stacks with Furbolg form...

So if you go into Furb form, and then go wolf... you are still in Furb form UNDER the wolf form... so if you cast a spell as a wofl.. u turn back into a bear =)

Despite the name, this does not turn you into a worg. It actually turns you into a black wolf. How disappointing.

hey i need some help if i abandoned the second part of the quest and then deleted the disguise can i get the quest and disguise again or is it imposible to get it again?

Interesting tip for herbalists :)

Like a druid's animal forms, gathering herbs while you're transformed into a worg doesn't break the disguise. This means that, if you're in one of those times when you found a herb near patrolling worgs in the zone, you can "shapeshift" into one of them so you can just gather the herb without aggroing them :)

Even if you don't care about having a wolf form item to play around with, it's still useful to keep around while questing in HF as secondary mount, and for these reasons:

In worg form you have near epic mount speed (~80% speed).
Only a 1 second cast (really nice for those short "intercept" travels)
Usable indoors (with full speed!)
The fanggore worgs are friendly if you travel through their area
If you have a pet, it stays out in this "travel" form

Better keep this until you're done with all other quests :)

Edit: Can the downraters please comment what's wrong? I've done a lot of tests and it's all true. Though the pet UI bar is fixed by now, and all mounts can travel in the water, so I removed those from the tips.

Edit2: Tip for those that like the wolf form. You can have a scribe make you a Rituals of the New Moon offhand. Not the speed, or the other benefits, but it's usable everywhere for 2 minutes.

This hasn't been said yet:
If you are casting a spell in the Worg form, you do not break from the form until the spell finishes.

Additionally, you can Disenchant while in this form, and it will not break.

1st time poster :)

The best use I found for this item was at Scalawag Point (lots of quest swimming) in conjunction with levitate (Waterwalking would probably stack with the disguise as well).

80% run speed across water, almost as good as a the DK buff + mount.

If you have this activated when you move out of Rivenwood it will break, however, you can just cast it again.

i REALLY hope the GMs see that this "disguise" is actually worth more having than the reward themselves..(the items i mean) northrend has plenty of better gear from quests. they really should make this the reward instead (cmon, u had to fight ur inner turmoil fr this, u unlocked it!) XD

It would be so much nicer if there were more reasons to be in Howling Fjord at later levels. In TBC there was pretty much a reason to be in any zone at level 70. Here there's no world PVP and there's not much reason to be traveling through this zone like you would through any of the Outland zones. Even the farming there is minimal.

I still have the costume and might keep it, but there doesn't seem to be as much fun to be had with it as there was with the Shabby Arakkoa Disguise (which I eventually got rid of and never really regretted that much). In terms of utility, there's not much more this item can do that can't be done better with abilities and a flying mount.

Cliffs: Keep it if you like turning into a wolf, otherwise toss it. It's pretty much just for entertaining yourself unless you spend a lot of time around wolves in the Fjord.

It's funneh, if you change stances while in the Worg Disguise, it will emote a wolf attack (bite etc) =P.

Just found out when I was on the way to kill Varg in the 2nd part of the chain on my 5th character doing this questline, and I always tend to have problems finding those Hide'n'seekin' wolfies =/

Ok, as of 3.1, it IS possible to keep the disguise after accepting the LAST quest. Not brother betrayers, the last one.

Go to the sage in worg form and abandon the quest. STAY in worg form and talk to the sage. He'll give you another disguise, and you're quest-free! :D
I just did this (after accepting the last quest by mistake), so it works. I promise.

I also still had the eagle eye buff thing. That probably helped.

Now while I am sure this will be downgraded for no apparent reason I will stay what I have to say.

Every one wants this to be one of those quests items that allows you to use it after completing the quest and such. Like the Furbog wand thingy-ma-bob. And be able to use it any where you like (HELL YEAH! we know we would all love that!)

Well... I do not believe blizzard would make it possible seeing how they went through the trouble of creating items that sort of do the same thing as this. T_T Sadly without the 80% movement speed. (Source)

I am sure there are other things I might be forgetting... but I won't bother to look into it. It will give you bored people a chance to "stick it" to me. Seeing how helpful information is always downgraded these days... until they speak about it that is.

Using Baby Spice will break the disguise, but using the disguise will NOT break the Baby Spice effect, so hunters can actually look like a puppy of their pet wolf.

I don't know if anything changed but I initially had problems dropping the quest while keeping this item.

What I did to get this was,

-Destroy the item
-Click abandon quest
-When the popup appears asking you if you really do want to abandon, don't touch anything.
-Talk to Watcher Moonleaf (or Sage Mistwalker), but don't get the new item yet.
-Click Yes for abandoning the quest.
-Receive the new item from the NPC.

This is what I did that works, but if it was completely unnecessary then ignore this.
