This achievement is earned during the Hagara the Stormbinder boss fight. When her Lightning Storm phase starts she spawns four Crystal Conductors along with one Bound Lightning Elemental. To get past this phase you need to kill the Bound Lightning Elemental near one of the Crystal Conductors in order to get it charged. Once it is charged the Conductor will cast Lightning Conduit on anyone within 10 yards and on anyone standing within 10 yards of that player. You charge the other Conductors by having people stay within 10 yards of eachother and making a "train" to the next Conductor.

So in order to get this achievement players must charge 3 of the 4 Crystal Conductors, then all gather at one charged Conductor and making a train to the last uncharged one making sure all are affected by the Lightning Conduit. All the chain damage going on could make this achievement a little healing intensive. However, to complete it you don't have to defeat the boss so you just chain everyone to the last Conductor and,if done correctly, you get it the second the phase ends.

To make it more clear on exactly what you have to do:

1) Charge all the conductors except 1

2) You have to create a link from a charged conductor to the inactive one. You can't just bundle all together and ignite it while everyone is afflicted. The chain has to look like 1large lightning bolt from the charged one to the inactive one.

Charged - person - person - person - ..... - person - person - inactive

each chain has to have 1 person or object within 10 yards, and only 1. Going on a tangent will cause the lightning to bounce weird and create a break

We just tried this achievement on 10 man mode, and we succesfully linked 10 players, and overloaded the totem with that link. However, we did not get the achievement, presumably because we had a pet in the link.

Things that might help complete this achievement:
- Don't make any weird turns as the chain will break.
- You need to overload 2/6 conductors before chaining up to get the last one for the achievement.
- You do not have to kill the boss afterwards, you get the achievement immediately
- Dismiss pets and totems!
- You need to have 10/25 players in the raid to be able to get it. We tried to go with 6 players, but we did not get the achievement.

This youtube clip shows an easy way of getting the achievement on 10 player mode (I do not take credit for this clip, all credit goes to the uploader and his guild).

We experienced the chain as fairly buggy at times, where it simply won't chain to the next player. Good luck!

We just did this achievement, as of 09/01-2012.

We wiped about 20 times, making perfect chains, bugged every single time.

Then we tried a new thing;
Linking from the 3rd overloaded crystal to the last one. (Not from the 1st charged to the last uncharged crystal, like we did all other attempts.)

Not sure if it was just RNG that it didn't bug or not, but well worth a try.

Here's how it worked for us in 25man:
we've used this setup (its the al'akir platform on bossblueprint but you can translate it to hagara's platform without difficulties).
Dismiss all pets and totems. Make sure the 2-3 last people make the final connection once everyone is placed.

In case you have the same bright idea, we tried this and it did not work in 10 man: have everyone make a /follow macro so that you all are following someone in a line. Group up, kill the add, everyone hits the macro and the first person drives the train around. Seemed like a good plan but just didn't do it.

After that we did something that did work: Designate a line so everyone knows who is on their left. Run over to form a curve between the two crystals. Have the first person in the chain hang back a bit and wait until everyone is in position, then step forward toward the crystal.

You will see the achievement immediately if you succeed (not at the end of the fight). Good luck!

We got our glory drakes last night and spent the most time on this achieve. We are a 25m guild and for some reason the lightning would stop chaining about 5 people before the end of the chain. This happened over and over till we finally decided to break the raid down into 10m, completed 1st group, had people zone out and did another 10 people. (we already had some with it completed.) We wasted an hour trying to do on 25m and knocked out the 2 consecutive 10mans in about 15min.

Remember that you must be 10 players in the raid to complete it.
Also dismiss all hunter / warlock pets and totems before atempting.

This achivement is so much easyer in 10man than 25man.

Place urself in a long line at the egde of the circle, and each end just walks in and links the group.

I don't know if this is correct, but that is what we do:

My guild is failing at this achievement because we are charging the conductor in the "wrong" order. What I am saying is that we are going from conductor 1 -> 2, 2 -> 3 and finaly 1 -> 4. This way we didin't receive credits for the last conductor: aka, the last player can't "activate" the conductor.

What we did is charge the conductor in "right" order: 1 -> 2 -> 3 -> 4.
Doesn't matter how much time you spend charging from the 3 to 4, but need to be in that order. Also, any conductor can be the first one. Just follow the same way while charging all four conductors.
You don't need to kill Hagara to receive the achivement, it will just pop up middle fight.

We didn't have any pets or totens up. Mostly because we are trying everything to get the credits.

My guild attempted this last night on 25man. Spent almost 2 hours on this achievement with no success. We ended up splitting into 2 10man groups then brought in the rest of our raiders tonight and got them the achievement via 10man group as well.

What I noticed while we were attempting 25man it seemed like always the chain wouldn't connect to the last conductor. I even brought up the layout map mentioned above to our raid leader and all of us watched several videos on youtube that other raiding guilds that attempted it on 25man. Final thoughts, I believe that this achievement is bugged and Blizzard has failed to come back and fix how this achievements mechanics work (same goes for the platform jump bug on Madness..).

The best way to get this achievement imo is to come back into 10man groups and do it, remember you do not have to kill Hagara to get the achievement.

Also, you can reset Hagara to start with a lightning phase by having a rogue or hunter ect starting the encounter then vanishing/feign death ect. You'll know which phase she will start with by looking at her weapons, if they are frosty then she will start with a snow phase, crackling she will start with lightning phase.

As rsabin said, make sure you do not chain 1->4 at the end or it just won't complete. Chaining 3->4 works perfectly.

Note that the Crystal Conductors will spawn on the Northeast, Northwest, Southwest, and Southeast points. They will be on the outside of the inner circle pattern of the floor. Knowing that, you should be able to put up markers and give assignments for where people should stand ahead of time.

Holding Hands

Destroy the final Crystal Conductor during Hagara's lightning phase on Normal or Heroic Difficulty, while all raid members are part of the final Lightning Conduit.
