I am looking forward to trying this one. This one seams to be the only one that have any kind of challenge to it, not much but if you head there when there are horde players there you will probably be camped. Just have to pick the right time to go, and I would think druids and rogues would have the easiest time doing this one, as they can scout out the place first with out making their presence known.

Edit: turned out this was not hard at all. Only two times did the horde players decide they wanted the HK, being that I am on a PvE server I just took it as a chance to take a 5 minute AFK, it does not flag you till after you complete the quest. So all I did those 2 times was just let the horde paladins (yes pallies both times) kill me as I walked away from the computer, so not very hard. Had my title in 4 hours, no challenge to this one, just traveling all around the place.

I have made a tom tom list from the data in this guide if u wana add them just copy paste to macro and run macro

Remember that a macro can hold all in one run so take like 5-7 rows at a time

Alliance Kalimdor Fires Walkthrough

This is a rewrite of the path I posted the other day... this is a far better path
and it includes everything including the Zoram Strand Quest
if you've picked that up. That quest is also sharable so if you dont have it you
can harass your friends or just go grab it and hearth since your hearth
stone will reset long before you need it again, that is assuming your
hearth is in Dalaran.

This time we're starting in Tanaris coming from the Caverns of Time...
for those of you without access to Dalaran the reason why we start here
is because we can portal into the ass end of Kalimdor from Dalaran
which will clean up the order problems that are caused by starting in the
north and gives us an end point where we can turn in quests.

Mount up and head to Gadgetzan... (aim for the south east corner)

Fly To Silithus (dont do the horde fire we have to come back)

Okay what you're going to do is follow the river north towards Durotar...
if you need the flame I suggesting heading straight to Orgrimmar... the
reason being most of us will die. Twice even. If you plan accordingly you
should be able to keep it down to twice once going in and once coming out.
Once you have the flame its my suggestion you accept the rez sickness and
then do Razor Hill. If you are not stealing the flame are or certain you
can go in and out without dieing then do Razor Hill first. I suggest
doing everything in your power to die near the flame when you rez there
is a tent next to the flame rez on top of it and you'll have your best
chance to grab the flame without getting any automatic guard aggro after
that do your best to escape. Don't stress about dieing though you will
not lose the flame once you have it.

Steal Flame..... Orgrimmar Valley of Wisdom

Head North West into the Barrens and follow the road north into Ashenvale

Get to Astranaar either hoof it or goto Forest Song and fly, I hoofed it

If you have the quest head to the Zoram Strand.
Kill one of the Twighlight guys near 15,19. Get the letter drop the totem
and get the next quest . Put on the costume and goto
9,12 you can mount up and get closer if you like or have fun as a crab. Walk
away and then use the Totem again. Next you get which you
can turn in when we're done with the fires.

Get to a Flight Master... either run North from where you are or head back
to Astranaar. I'm running north using some water walking! I'll skip the
fire cause we gotta fly to Winterspring and back anyways.

Walkthrough Guide to Completing the Fires for both Desecration of the Horde and The Fires of Azeroth. This guide is for the Alliance. If you need one for Horde here is one I found.

Before you start I suggest printing this guide and understanding this is based on having Dalaran as your hearthstone. Also understand that at times needing to back track is the only way to go. But if you see or know a better way, let me know and Ill edit. Also this guide is based on having the flight paths and having coords. If you don't have coords, download tomtom or another coords addon

I've included the main cities for the A Thief's Reward quests/King of the Fire Festival achieve. Remember, you will likely die a lot doing them, but no worries, your just picking up an item, so before trying again after dying, check your bags for the quest starter. And taking rez sickness isn't a bad thing in this case. :)

As a side note for those that are programmers: if you decide to make an addon for the world events, it would be awesome to see and I'd love to be a beta tester for it.

Does anyone know why I can't see the flame in Durotar and Tirisfal Glades? I went to the exact coordinates but no flame is there (or any Midsummer festival stuff, or actually any NPC's). I'm assuming it has something to do with both places having a Horde city, but I don't know why that would matter.

They need to change this so you don't flag when you desecrate fires. I've had horde players in full season gear camping alliance flight paths, and you can't just fly off if you are in combat. Summer time is not the time to open up the game for griefing.

It seems this achieve is either bugged or out of date on Blizz's end. The text says you only have to complete Eastern Kingdoms, Kalimdor, and Outland. I completed all 3 today and did not get Flame Warden since I had completed all the other achievements. I'm guessing they also want you to complete Northrend and Cata. Has anyone else experienced this?

For Horde: You would need to remove the Horde cities and put in the Alliance cities instead.

The guide assumes you are bound in Dalaran or Stormwind for the Hearthstone comments, and that you have the Uldum portal available. If you don't have that portal, I would advise getting a port to Dalaran and using the portal to Caverns of Time from the Violet Citadel.

In response to the dying in Org comments....if you can fly, there is no need to die in Org. Come in from the mountain side (from north, heading south). As with all these fires, look for the 'open' side with either no NPCs or (as at UC) ones that are neutral-yellow rather than hostile-red. Coming in this way lets you land, get the flame, MOUNT AND LEAVE. All without dying. Very nice. You must watch out for the flying mounted NPCs defending Org. but it is not difficult.
