Timbermaw isn't bad to get as long as you left two of the +700 rep quests (kill quests or totems) to turn in at Revered, or alternatively, the two +500 quests if you're a tailor.

The best way to do the grind is to farm ~655 feathers from the deadwood camp in northern Felwood (~30-35% drop rate per kill). Those feathers will be saved to turn in once you hit revered and kills stop giving rep. Once you've saved the required feathers to go from revered to exalted, you can start turning any extras in to get revered as you grind.

Farming only 40 feather per day (~120 kills), it should take just under a month to go from neutral (0) to exalted. My main (Undead Mage) on Arygos finished off the grind in around a week, and it wasn't bad at all.

EDIT: Timbermaw rep for kills and turnins was doubled when patch 3.0 went live, so I would assume my figure of ~655 would be down to about 325. Much, much easier.

Mag'har rep seemed easiest to grind up in the area by the Ring of Blood (high droprate and plenty of spawns), but the southern cave near Halaa had equally high drops when people were farming the north for quests. Sporeggar was simply a matter of alternating the 750 rep 6x fertile spores with the repeatable "Now that we're still friends" quest, made all the easier by farming or buying Sanguine Hibiscus.

Apparently the key to being a successful diplomat is genocide. Watch out furblogs, sporebats and ogres. Going to be a whole lot of people going diplomatic on your asses.

i have this on my lv 4 im twinking him spogar took 1 and a half day timbermaw hold took a whole day and mag thar took about 3-4 days
i am twinking her lv 19 450 mining 150 enginerring =)
it was worth it and im getting more rep titles soon =)

As daunting as it sounds, the Diplomat title is not too hard to achieve for a max-level player, especially with the recent changes allowing full rep gains for grey mobs.

Sporregar

The most efficient method of doing this is via Bring Me a Shrubbery! turn ins. Each turn in of 5 Sanguine Hibiscus gets you 750 rep. You need to be friendly with Sporregar in order to get this quest, and about 260 Sangine Hibiscus to get from friendly to exalted. To first get to friendly, talk to Fahssn and do his quests.

As sanguine hibiscus are tradeable, you can simply buy it all off the AH, or farm them in Underbog yourself. Farming runs in UB typically involve full clears of the trash mobs on the ground floor, the 2 bog giants near Hungarfen, and trash up until you see the nagas. Hungarfen can be skipped safely. Sanguine Hibiscus can be collected from the ground, and drops off both the sporebats and the bog lords/ giants. A full clear will net you about 20 to 30 Sanguine Hibiscus, depending on the drop rate from trash. Do check back on spawn locations, as some hibiscus only spawn after you have harvested their counterparts in other locations. It took me some 3 hours of clears to get all the Sanguine Hibiscus I needed to get to exalted.

The Mag'har

There is nothing much to say about this faction reputation. You will first encounter them in Hellfire Peninsular, where a simple quest chain will remove your hostile status with them. Unlike the Timbermaw or Sporregar, staying hostile with this group is not really an option.

Killing any ogre in Nagrand will net you 10 rep. Keeping the Obsidian Warbeads that they drop will net you 500 rep per turn in. Killing Kil'sorrow cult members or Murkblood Broken will also net you 10 rep each, but as they don't drop Warbeads, it is much more efficient to kill the ogres.

From a questing standpoint, doing all the quests available from the Mag'har will also get you comfortably into revered. Plus you get Thrall running into Nagrand to meet his grandma.

Timbermaw Hold

There are two main camps of furbolg in Felwood, and 2 main camps in Winterspring. Quite simply, killing these furbolg grants you 20 rep with Timbermaw Hold until revered. Either of these NPCs Nafien or Grazle are likely to start you on your killing spree in Felwood. After you do their initial quests, they also offer the option to turn in 5 Deadwood Headdress Feather for 300 rep. These feathers only drop after you have done the initial quests. In Winterspring, Salfa collects your Winterfall Spirit Beads, which work the same way as the feathers in Felwood. These turn-ins and quests are the only way to increase your rep from revered to exalted. Thus, it may make sense to keep any quests and turn ins until you have reached revered.

You will need 350 feathers or beads to hit exalted from 0/21000 revered. As you kill your way to revered, you will have more than enough beads and feathers, so do some calculations when you are close to revered to avoid wasting time. As reference, you will be killing 600 furbolgs to get from 0/12000 honored to revered, which will get you some 240 feathers. Pre-honored grinding will get you at least 100 feathers. Easy quests to complete include turning in runecloth, and the Winterfall/ Deadwood totems.

For efficiency, it is recommended to kill the furbolg in the northern part of Felwood for a few reasons:
1. The droprate of feathers is highest at this location (higher than spirit beads in Winterspring)
2 The respawn rate is quick enough to sustain a max-level killing spree circuit. By the time you finish looting all the dead bodies, chances are some furbolgs will have respawned.

This isn't so bad... I got exalted with the Mag'har in about a week (And i got all of their beautiful talbucks!), Timbermaw I am Revered with, and working on Sporeggar atm. Sporeggar seems pretty easy, Underbog runs get you a whole lot of rep. GL to other Diplomats-in-training!

This title is obtainable at any level. It's much quicker though if you do it on a character who can actually do the turn in quests. (Did this with my level 1: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UraQT5ryT-A)
How to get Timbermaw til exalted:

Timbermaw from the start til revered is basically just killing mobs west of the Timbermaw Hold (20 rep per kill, 60 from chieftains, there's 2 of those). From revered til exalted you have to kill Xandivious (for 100 rep) and/or Chieftains for 60 rep. Xandivious can be summoned every 10th minute using a character which is exalted with Timbermaw, but never did the trinket quest. (You will need a friend or his account for this)

Mag'har/Kurenai is basically killing mobs all the way. You can kill ogres in the ogre camps or the blue draenei looking creatures west of Halaa. 10 rep per kill. 2 rep per kill from some weak mobs in the camp west of Halaa.

Sporeggar is basically killing mobs all the way also. 15 rep per kill, so it's a little bit faster than Mag'har/Kurenai. You can kill mobs southwest of the Sporeggar camp or mobs in a cave (in the mountains) near the road down to Terokkar.

If you attempt to do this with a low lvl I suggest you to start with Mag'har/Kurenaii, then Sporeggar and Timbermaw last. I enjoyed the timbermaw one the most (it was the slowest), but yet I didn't have to grind non stop. I got so much time to browse forums. Happy grinding.

Step 1: Sporeggar Reputation

Complete the (62)Now That We're Friends... (Now That We're Still Friends...) quest until Exalted. (750 rep per, non-human).
Alternative1: (62)Fertile Spores (More Fertile Sports) until Exalted. (750 rep per, non-human).
Alternative2: (63)Bring Me A Shrubbery! (Bring Me Another Shrubbery!) until Exalted. (750 rep per, non-human).
Once Exalted, you gain the following:

The Czar of Sporeggar complete.
1/3 complete of The Diplomat.

Step 2: Timbermaw Hold Reputation

Complete the initial quest for: (45)Timbermaw Ally for 700 rep(non-human).
From there, continue to complete the (45)Feathers for Nafien or Feathers for Grazle quest(s) until Exalted. (300 rep per, non-human).
Alternative1: Complete initial quest (45)Winterfall Activity and then continue to complete (50)Beads for Salfa until Exalted. (300 rep per, non-human).
Addition to Alternative1: Continue to complete both of these together until Exalted: (59)Winterfall Intrusion(250 non-human Wintersaber rep) and (50)Beads for Salfa(300 non-human Timbermaw Hold rep).
Once Exalted, you gain the following:

They Love Me In That Tunnel
2/3 complete of The Diplomat

Step 3: The Mag'har Reputation

Complete all the Mag'har quests you can to soften the grind: Horde Filter
Continue killing any ogre in Nagrand(10 rep) and collecting the Obsidian Warbeads. Turn those in in sets of 10 for 500 rep per.(More Warbeads!
Once Exalted, you gain the following:

Mag'har of Draenor
3/3 complete of The Diplomat

You are now awarded the The Diplomat achievement, and title.

Guys, so I'm going to start this. I actually got exalted with Timbermaw as alliance way back even before BC came out.

I was going to start this again as Horde for the diplomat, and someone told me that you don't get the trinket as Horde that you get for getting exalted with Timbermaw as alliance, the one that summons the Furbolg to fight with you.

Yeah the trinket is worthless, but it's fun and it's lol, and I actually think it's a big motivation to getting exalted.

So is the trinket still alliance only?

CATA UPDATE

As of Cataclysm/Shattering, the Timbermaw rep chase has been completely nerfed. I went from honoured to exalted in less than 40 minutes because 10 feathers gives over 2,000 rep points (!). So, Timbermaw exalted is fast and easy, unless Blizz had a switch mistakenly flipped that day, or something, that allowed me to profit.

Re. Mag'har, I'm getting 525 points in exchange for 10 ogre obsidian beads. Looks like they added 25 points for each batch of beads.

You now get 788 rep for each of the Sporeggar runs, up from 750: Now that We're Still Friends..., More Fertile Spores, and Shrubbery runs to the Underbog (one run can net 35+ sanguine hibiscuses if you have herbalism + loot the mobs, so running Underbog is worth it, since that adds up to over 5500 rep points when you cash the flowers in).

TIP: After you kill the final boss (Black Stalker) in Underbog, and if you have herbalism, run down the south tunnel behind the dead boss and drop down--the short drop takes you to the beginning of the dungeon and you'll see 2-4 sanguine hibiscuses will have respawned on the first level.
