Just got this achievement on the PTR when I pointed the camera down and press the button when your toon is over the middle of the boardwalk. Took me a dozen or so attempts to get this one.

Spam jump/spacebar to the center of the ring, seems that wow doesn't register your initial water landing for some reason.

I did this as an orc with 28 home ping and 30 world ping, so if you have a little higher ping, pressing the button slightly earlier may work for you.

Just got this achievement again on live. On my 3rd attempt, I held jump down and when my toon jumped outta the water, he got the achievement.

Edit: It seems that if you have a bigger character model, tauren/night elves, you need to press 1 a little later (towards the water side) than average most since it seems like it tracks where you land feet first. Tauren guildie of mine just got this with a 300 ms home/world ping and pressed 1 more towards the water side of the boardwalk. And conversely, goblins/gnomes/dwarfs may need to press 1 earlier (towards land side).

Little trick for Both " Cannon Target Points Accrued (5) " and Achievement!

1 - Warlock Summoning stone in middle of the ring
2 - Two people summon the 3rd person in the cannon(Can Summon before get in the cannon, but just dont click or it wont work)
3 - After youve been fire, accept the summon
4 - BAM You got the achievement Blastenheimer Bullseye as well as the 5 Points for the quest

Does anybody have any tips?
Seriously I have been using over a hundred tokens, and despite I seem to be landing right in the center, I dont get the achievement.
I see people get this 2-3 tries, but as I said I did 100 tries now, and I keep failing and failing.
I tried using both the "buff timer" tactic and the "drop off just past the deck".
Has anybody else experienced this?

This achievement bugged, or what ? I've been landing dead center, and areas around that countless times... and YET to get this bloody thing - and then I see someone getting it when they land near the edge? What gives...

There definitely seems to be a bug related to this achievement. On my main, Tauren Druid, no matter how directly in the centre I am the achievement just doesn't unlock. Having used over 100 tickets it just didn't feel right, especially when everyone else was getting it and it didn't seem too strict on being just a little off centre, so I decided to have a go on my alts, Undead Mage and Orc Hunter. The mage unlocked the achievement on the first attempt and the Hunter on the second try, but back on my main nothing, even if I land in the exact same spot. It certainly appears bugged.

Edit: I've just spoken to a GM and they confirmed it's a bug and the dev team is currently working on a fix.

For a warlock, you can simply place your Demonic Circle in the middle of the bullseye, and when you are close to it you remove the wings and instantly portal to it.
Works as of 04.12.11(dd.mm.yy)

This is impossible. ive tried many times. and i try to figure out how to do it and i still fail. ive seen other people get it and im sitting here with a "WTF" face. Please explain how everyone else is getting this but me? i am a Dranaei mage.

I hit the dead center dozens of time and it never registered. I finally got it after spamming jump when I hit the water. It worked for me and it worked for my friend. I think spamming jump when hitting the water is the key.

Night Elf Hunter, tried about 50 times and nothing, landing dead center several times. Checked here and tried the jump trick (land center and spam jump til it gives you your "score"), worked first time.

Just got it as a Blood Elf Mage, and yes, it seems quite bugged(*): each time I did it the normal way, I would land underwater, no matter how close to the center of the target it would not give me 5 points nor the achievement.

So I went on thinking, what if the trick is to land on the surface.

As a mage, I dropped wings at beginning of boardwalk, and popped blink to instantly appear at the target. Not some feet below it, but right at the center on the surface. Mission accomplished!

If you find yourself "landing" underwater, due to lag or whatever, seems like it won't detect you actually passing through the target. Just use whatever abilities you have to not drop like a stone. Some ideas: Slow Fall, Levitate, Noggenfogger Elixir... etc.

(*) Or is the actual achievement to figure it out...?

I can confirm that this achievement is NOT bugged for Taurens. I was able to attain this achievement using stuffeh's method of looking top-down and dropping when my toon is in the middle of the boardwalk, and nutweave's method of spamming jump when hitting the water. Worked a charm. Thanks stuffeh and nutweave.

Really not possible for taurens, I hit a PERFECT center so many timed and nothing. And i mean it was really perfect, not more than 1 nanometer off. And so many no-taurens are getting it around me. So I'm just waiting for some fix now.

As a tauren it doesn't worked for me so I transformed with orb of the sindorei into a bloodefl and on first shot I got the achievement

An easy way to get this achievement is to have a priest friend stand directly in the center of the ring and cast Leap of Faith on you when you fly by.

If your "buff" wears off mid flight, you lose your flight and a ticket. Wait till the buff is gone before launching again.

Also, vouch for the jumping to activate the cheevy.

I have 300ms world/home, and I hit just as I went over the first part of the boardwalk - and it landed perfect.

I was having problems with this achievment.

I even put a Elder's Moonstone in the center to judge if I was in fact landing in the center.
Still after many attemps landing in the center of the ring of light I still failed to achieve it.

I came here and it was mentions about water walking potions and hitting the jump key when landing.

After my second try with water walking potion and spamming the jump button as I landed in the water, I did take on 60k damage but the achievement came up.

Good Luck to all, almost gave up on this one.

i just made, druid night elf.
i was landing normal under the water and jumped like others guys told to do but nothing so, i used to land on the water and don´t sink, lose 50% my health, as soon i landed in the middle i jumped and i got....

Note to anyone who levitates themselves on their swim back to the portal guy, make sure you remove levitate before you shoot yourself otherwise you will get thrown out to sea no matter where you press your button.

I got this achievement after taking a break from doing jumps for a while. The tactic I used was to watch my buff timer and aim to click the button with 1.5s left on it. I play with around 50ms latency, so take that into account. I managed to get another bull's eye (according to the buff) a few hours later and noticed that I actually ended up slightly closer to the shore than the exact center of the target. I don't know if it matters, but I am a female draenei.

You can get this achievement by jumping while you land in the middle of the target. As soon as you jump up while falling in it, you should receive it.

To all fellow player out there with big-boned chars, here's the tip that will make your life (and achiv) easier.
I've had difficulty to obtain this achiv as draenei mage. I've tried numerous times until I saw a comment here addressed to someone else: "It's because you're a draenei mage."

If you have any sort of "appearance changer", use it to get smaller !

For example, I've used Orb of the Sin'dorei to become blood elf. In 2 tries I've managed to get an achiv.

There are more items like that out there ( Leyara's Locket , Gnomeregan Pride ), try to get one and get your achiv.

I wrote this to help myself, but I realize it may help others as well so here we go:

Setup the mini "addon" by pasting these two lines of code (one after the other, as it's too big for one macro) in the chat:

In any case I hope it helps! If it's off by a little after a couple of tries you can tweak 2.35 to something lower or higher, depending on latency.

I can confirm that jumping works, been trying like 3 hours, with over 300 attempts, with other non-taurens trying for hours, but in the end getting it.

So today I tried with the jumping tactics, it worked perfectly after I did a perfect center (like it had happened already 10 times and I hadn't got it due to not jumping).

So, if you have problems with tauren race (or why not, even with other races), just jump AFTER you land in the middle, had to jump 3-4 times to get it.

I submitted a screen shot of where I landed when I got my achievement. I landed in the middle, then jumped straight up. Don't move left or right, just up. Once I jumped out of the water, I got the achievement.

I had landed in that spot a few times before, but did not jump after landing.

I must have hit dead centre about 20 times with no achievement until I tried spamming jump then I did it first time, I also had a water walking potion on but i'm not sure if that really effected it, I still went under water.

I got mine by releasing wing as soon as i passed the flag you fly by. I didn't land in the center, but I was still rewarded it. Not sure if the center of it isn't sensitive or what.

A friendly word of warning for Priests...make sure you're not Levitating when you get launched. Using the cannon does NOT cancel Levitate, nor does clicking off your wings.

Warriors can use heroic leap in this one. After 4-5 tries I used my leap to jump in midd and worked in first one.

finally got it after 60-70 tries,dont think it depends of your race,make soure you have your water jesus buff on you,ask shamans.Befoure you cancel your buff make sure your movement mouse 2 button is looking at the sky,you gonna hit the ground,in this case water and youll get your achi
If you dont you gonna finish below the water.
Also ima tauren cow.Took my 70 tries to realise my char camera had to be targeted on the sky -.- damn im stupid

After many attempts of trying and failing, i decided to lower my graphics to "Low" settings and using the button to fall right over the edge of the dock. I was able to get this one in just one attempt after doing this. I know it mostly depends on your latency, however, lowering your graphics may also help.

Teleport back to the cannon quickly by talking to Teleportologist Fozlebub fishing on the shoreine. Swim straight to the shore after landing and you won't miss him.

As warlock, you can just simply place your Demonic Circle: Summon in the center, go to the canon and just use your Demonic Circle: Teleport while you fly by.
The easiest way to get the achievement, when you are a warlock.

My Warlock got this 2nd try, invited 3 ppl to group, they came, I made summoning portal, summoned who wanted achievement whilst they were being shot out of the cannon - made a few ppl happy today =)

I can confirm you do NOT need the quest to unlock this achievements.

1. Warlocks can use a portal.
2. Priests can Lifegrip people to the middle.
3. Warlock summons will work as well (release your wings, and then accept the summon). I helped some people out doing this, and surprisingly enough a lot of people didn't realize you NEED TO TAKE THE CANNON FIRST BEFORE ACCEPTING THE SUMMON OR GETTING LIFEGRIPPED OR PORTALLING, else it won't work. :)

Note that you cannot use Mass Summons in this area.

What worked well for me was waiting until very shortly after the flight buff reached 1 second remaining, then dropping.

I play with ~40 ms, so adjust accordingly if you have significant lag, or use one of the other mentioned 'tricks' involving priests or warlocks to cheese your achievement.

I am a bloodelf mage....................and i have fallen dead centre each time, i've used all methods mentioned here, which did work for my bloodelf hunter, but nothing for my mage............ive used 20 tokens and nothing, so yeah i'd say its bugged, a couple have landed in the exact same place as me while jumping and they start jumping to and nothing :(

As Nelf male i aimed the camera right down and when i was right over the end of the boardwalk i pressed 1 and spammed space, when the stun went away i got the achivement.

Finally. I used Stuffeh's advice, except I spammed the jump as soon as I dismounted the wings. I also transformed from Tauren to Troll using Darkspear Pride. Too many failed attempts as Tauren.

I used 40 game tokens as a Human Warrior, trying to get this achievement. For whatever reason, the jump method would not work for me, so following some advice for bigger characters, I tried an item that transforms you. On accident I used ( Bones of Transformation ) and got this achievement with it, because i hit the bullseye, without being allowed to enter the water (the naga tail part did, but since the model is bigger, it put my "human" body on top of the water).

Here's my solution, got it on 3rd try after working out the targeting. Once I got loaded into the cannon, I moved the camera directly overhead so that it was pointing straight down at my Toon's head and zoomed all the way out the second I was launched (camera stays in close while you're in the cannon). Took a couple tries, but I worked out that if I released (1 key) just as I crossed the OUTside edge of the dock (closer to the target) it landed me pretty much dead center. was off a little first two tries, 3rd time got it. No steering, just use the 1 key-bind and it should drop you right in there. Worked for me.

Had the following situation:
3 people landing at the exact same location. 1 of 3 got the achievement.

The next few tries:
-landing exactly in the middle: no achievement
-landing slightly before the middle: no achievement
-landing slightly behind the middle: no achievement

Should have 'in water' detection to work properly.

I finally got this achievement by pointing my camera to my assumed landing position. When landing position and camera view matched I canceled the wings and got the achievement.

Got it with no tricks on over half my 10 toons. The trick to timing it is to turn your camera so that it's pointing straight down, then hit the button while your toon is over the dock.

For those with smaller character models try using an Elixir of Giant Growth, Winterfall Firewater, or Darkmoon Firewater (available in the junk fishing nodes around Darkmoon Island) to increase the size of your character model. I ended up getting it on my female human the very next try because she was able to jump up to the surface in time for the buff.

As a Draenei Warrior, I wasn't having any luck with the "spam jump" method. So I just thought, why don't I just heroic leap as i'm fallling? And it worked, took a couple tries to get the landing right, but it worked. Just make sure to hotkey heroic leap to the first action button for easy spamming.

Well this should make people happy:

I read peoples comments on jumping up and down after landing in the middle. I then went to try this and I released way too soon and didn't even land in the circle at all. But I decided to jump jump jump towards the circle and into the center area and boom I got the Ach.

So even if you dont land anywhere near the circle just keep jumping towards it and jump all around the center of it and you should get the Ach

So you get the Achievement if you land anywhere in the circle.
1. Launch From Cannon
2. Release Wings midway through the dock.
3.As soon as you land Spam jump(i recommend spamming the jump button while your dropping.)
4(only if you fail) Swim to shoreline,pay 30s to the fishing guy report to cannon.
5. Repeat steps 1-3.

I have no clue why, but for me the jumping-as-you-land-in-the-water method seems to be nerfed.
Last month I tried it with half my toons, and it worked on all of them, most on the first try. Today I tried it on another 4 or 5 toons who don't have it yet, and it worked for NONE of them.

As soon as you get rid of your wings ("1" button) press and hold the space bar. Don't let go until you get the achievement, it might take a couple of seconds. This is what worked for me.

I've tried it with the jumping when you land part, i'd didnt work for me the first 10 or so. Got the 11th due to holding both mouse button's. It seems you just have to find the exact right moment to click/hold move forward. i can confirm that the jumping doesn't work. When you hit the water, your below the surface. So that would mean you'll have to jump atleast 3-4 times, which you don't have the time for. Hope this helps.

Using the transformation you get from Faded Wizard Hat (to get me smaller, instead of being a Tauren) and pressing the button while being midway over the dock along with spamming jump when I land, I was able to get this achievement on the first shot.

I recently got the achievement after spending so many tokens ): I have seen so many non-tauren races get this while I was trying (which was a bit frustrating). Jumping works perfectly and got it first time (: I think it just doesn't register properly as you land in the water, especially the bigger races like tauren.

I did this a few times and found out a counting method worked best for me. Once you get blasted in the air, note that you will fly thru the middle of two rings of fireworks. One being green and pink for the other while in the air. Once I went thru the first ring, I started counting. The second fire work, was my count of two. At the count of six, I hit my fall button. It worked pretty well and got it after my 3rd try using this method.

Also, for fellow priests, make sure your levitate is not on you (and same probably goes for slow fall for a mage). You will be floating past your target a pretty far distance.

Tried forever to get this on my tauren druid with the jumping trick. Finally gave up, got some pygmy oil and pygmfied myself. Worked like a charm after that with the jumping. Stupid huge tauren.

After about 20 times and 3 times landing DIRECTLY in the middle I /threatened Maxima Blastenheimer before I got in the cannon. I landed in the ring and WHAMMO! Acheivement popped.

This is a very buggy achievement, even though you hit the target it seldom registers as a hit.

The easiest way to get it is to find a shaman and ask them for water walking. You will take some fall damage when landing, but you won't fall through the water and out of range of whatever triggers the achievement. This worked for me on every try. Path of frost works the same way, although it might be hard to time it properly if you're not a DK yourself.

Elixir of water walking doesn't work the same way sadly. If no friendly shamans or DKs are around, jumping as you hit the water works as well, but it's a little trickier to do and might not work every time.

This achievement is only slightly easier with the current updates to DBM for the Darkmoon Faire. You get a countdown now. It may not help everyone but it certainly helped me. Listening for the countdown I got this achieve on 2 alts in the first try.

I found the best place to push 1 is almost exactly in the middle of the boardwalk, it didn't seem to matter about the character model, as I got it on my tauren about 10 minutes later and I was on a blood elf the first time. Hopes this helps somebody, but whoever said that jumping just as you hit the water seemed to help, I think you can wait a second or two, because when I hit at firts nothing, then a jumped up to run over to the teleporter guy, and got it, so if you have some form of water walking and land a little to the side of the middle just edge over to the middle and then jump up and you should get it.

For a warrior simply use your heroic leap ability. I set my heroic leap to the #1 action bar before getting in the cannon, I then launched myself and once close enough spammed pressing one on my keyboard whilst also left clicking on the center of the circle. It is a little fast-paced but I managed to get it on the first try. Hope this helps. :)

Came here after trying for about an hour. Found the comments regarding being Tauren and having issues getting this achievement. Used Super Simian Sphere tried twice, and then used Orb of the Sin'dorei and got it the first try. Interesting note, if you use these 2 items together, you will be a belf in a pink sphere.

I had several great shots on the outskirts, I suppose, of the bullseye range. When I got the achievement, however, I noticed I was in the exact same place as when I first landed.

Only took me 13 tokens to get!
