You can do this achievement during the Therazane daily Fungal Fury. It takes place on the Crimson Expanse, on the east side of Deepholm. Without spoiling too much, you need to have unlocked the Therazane dailies to do this achievement.

It's rather straightforward once you know what to look for.

Poolstool: Red Mushroom, a bit larger than the others. Gives you the debuff Poolstool. Increases damage done by 50%, but increases damage taken from all sources by 100%. Lasts 2 minutes.
Shuffletruffle: White mushroom, very similar to Ghost Mushrooms. Gives you the Shuffletruffle debuff. Increases run speed by 50% and decreases attack speed by 30%. Lasts 2 minutes.
Shrinkschroom: White with a brown center. Gives the debuff Shrinkshroom. Reduces size by 50% and speed by 20%. Lasts 2 minutes
Trapcap: Purple with red dots. Explodes when you click on it, dealing around 3500 fire damage and knocking you back quite a distance, with potential fall damage. Be careful, you can get knocked into a hostile mob, and triggering the explosion near a neutral mob will cause them to aggro you. This is the only one that won't give you a debuff, so it needs to be triggered last.

A good strategy is to scope the place out, find where the various mushrooms are located, and then do them all quickly in succession. Remember to save the Trapcap for last! 2 minutes should be more than enough time to get this done.

PS: I wrote down what each mushroom looks like because currently in the beta, all the mushrooms are named 'Sprouting Crimson Mushroom'. This may or may not be intended.

Note: You'll need to drop this quest after picking 10 Mushrooms (in order to continue picking them) so be sure you're not wasting clicks. Otherwise you'll need to fly back after dropping it.

Found a couple Shrinkshrooms near the water/pools and near some of the red mushrooms at 69.7, 41.7.
Then for the Shuffletruffle and Poolstool, I went to the southeast part of the quest area, near 76.5, 52.1. There are also a couple Trapcaps near here, but those are definately found near the gigantic red crystals that make up a mini-mountain, at 75.9, 49.3.

So start west at the pool, goto the southeastern edge of the quest area (turn on blobs+panels on the ingame map to see the blue outline), then hit a Trapcap to finish it all off :) Should be easily done in under a minute!

They must have changed the colors of the shrooms cause they SURE aint white anymore, i have seen red, blue with brown spots, all sorts

Ok here is how I did it
the Shrinkshrooms is over on the Left side of the map
Shuffletruffles on the right side of the map,
Poolstool are by water,
Trapcaps are by the red crystals, simple as that.

If you don't meet the criteria you can simply abandon the quest and retake it and try again even if you have completed it.

Good advice in the above posts. Here are some co-ords where I found mine for those that don't want to look around

Shrinkshroom : 68,41 area
Shuffleshroom : 74,39 area
Poolstool : 75,34 area (near water)
Trapcap : 72,40 area (near big crystals) - as stated before - do last.

There are mushrooms of a similar type in and around these coordinates, and provided someone hasn't just picked them, you should be good to go.

Just did this achievement. I scoped it out first. Poolstool took forever for me to find(yes I was looking around water). Had about 10 seconds left to find a trapcap luckily I did.

Good way to avoid taking alot of damage is to have your back facing the upper incline of the hill that the mushrooms spawn. When you click on them, the blast sends you back into the wall and therefor less damage taken. Worked for me.

Trapcap is the only mushroom that doesn't give a debuff on you so that's why its effect must be last.

The big red mushroom (Poolstool) is also only mushroom that gives 1 minute debuff, others last for 2 mins so leave this one just before trapcap.

Also you can try this achievement as many times as you need by abandoning quest and restarting.

Including some details about the 4 different mushrooms (descriptions and screenshot links):
Poolstool (large red cap with faint blue splotches) can be found near the water's edge.

Shrinkshroom (hexagonal beige/pink cap with rips in the edges) can be found near rocks and other larger mushrooms.

Trapcap (tiny round lavender cap with pink spots) can be found near the large mountain in the center. MUST be done last for the achievement, and will explode causing damage and knockback.

It seems the easiest to start by the water's edge (Poolstool), then move inward toward the central mountain and check the rock clusters on the way (Shrinkshroom and Shuffletruffle), finishing off at the mountain (Trapcap).

Surprised no one has mentioned this yet, but the Shuffletruffle is a Goonies reference. Mikey's dance in the movie was called the Truffle Shuffle where he picked his shirt above his head and did a funny dance showing his stomach.

also, you can get a buff, mount your flying mount and go to the next one. etc.... until the boom shroom er...trapcap

ok i got achi just this minute and i can say alot of comments posted here are confusing and will stray u to the other side(comment with mushroom screenshots was very helpfull tho)

Order

1. RED
2. WHITE
3. BLUE
4. PURPLE

My way of doing this is like this

I was in Southwest area of the Crimson Expanse map scouting first , best way is to go counter clockwise starting from water pounds (close to Earthen Ring quest giver guys) going on to crystal formation (thingy on map)

So start from letter E on Crimson Expanse name on map then go counter clockwise (like it is on the map) finishing to crystal formation

Starting in the North you should find

Poolstool: Red Mushroom next to pools of water. Lasts 2 minutes. (75,31)

Shrinkschroom: White with a brown center. Looks exactly like the Shuffletruffle mushroom except it has a brown center instead of a blue one. Lasts 2 minutes Can respawn as Shuffletruffles. (75,30)

Shuffletruffle: White mushroom with a blue center looks like a Ghost Mushroom. I've found these mostly on the middle/south area of the map. Lasts 2 minutes. Can respawn as Shrinkschroom. (70,33)

Trapcap: Purple with red dots found all over the red gem mountains in the area. (70,35)

*Note since the Trapcap does not have a debuff you need to do it last, & before you click on it place your back towards the mountain.

One thing: You must have all four buffs on you at the same time. I scoped the area, did a practice run ... then, bam! The 'white with brown' center was hardest to find. My progression: Red 76.53; white w/ brown center 69.46; the blue next and last do blue with purple spots. The last two are easy enough ... just scope out your Red and White with brown center and go from there. :)

Based on posts by Dan21, Striegyr and Fleaman, here is a map for those of you not using coordinates to guide you to the shroom picking areas:

Perspective is based on arriving from Therazane.

Personally, I had to drop the quest and retake it 3 times, but the 3rd time I knew exactly what each mushroom looked like and where to find it.

to be a bit more effecient get the Shuffletruffle buff first since it gives you a run speed increase making it a bit easier to the rest, saving Trapcap for last ofcourse as per helpful posts above.

I really had problem finding Shrinkshroom (the red one, without dots), so when I finally found it I took it as the first one, then continued with Poolstool, which is easy to find, plently of them grow by the pools, then Shuffletruffle and at last Trapcap.
And here we go, achievement successfully completed.

Just got my achieve! I looked for the mushroom with the brown spots first since that seemed like the hardest one to spot. Thats the shrinkshroom one, they i went by rocks to gather the blue, got the other one and headed towards the purple one and BOOM! achieve :)

My advice for doing this achievement is to do the following:

Search for the shrinkshroom first. It is, by far, the rarest. It's generally near the water (I find them on the south side of the 'river', near rocks).
Get poolstool and shuffletruffle next, in whatever order you can. Poolstools aren't too rare but they are only found near water, surprisingly enough... shuffletruffles are found in the same places as shrinkshrooms, near little rocks.
Blastcaps are by far the most common and you have to get them last anyways. Go near the huge rock in the center, you will find plenty of them.

See the screenshots for help identifying them. Keep in mind, you can drop the quest and pick it back up if you make a mistake or are unable to finish. Also keep in mind that if you leave the general area, you lose all mushroom buffs.

Speaking of which, here are the effects that the mushrooms provide:

Poolstool: Increased damage dealt.
Shrinkshroom: Shrinks your size.
Shuffletruffle: Increases your movement speed.
Blastcap: Deals damage to you and knocks you far back. (if you go after these, it's recommended to have them knock you into a wall for decreased damage and knockback)

Tip for mages: If you activate an exploding mushroom hit blink once you start going in the air it will blink you right next to the mushroom without damage or agrro risk you also still get credit for destroying it ^__^

I tried uploading it on wowhead but it got denied. Probably because of it's resolution (1037 x 1201).
Anyway it should be helpful despite that fact. The only thing that's missing is a minimap location marker.

I was confused a little so here is the straight scoop.

1. You have to be on the quest Fungal Fury. It is given by Gorsik in Therazane's Throne. Otherwise they will not show up.
2. The shrooms all have the same name "Crimson Shroom" when targeted. Only the color will differentiate them. So see the above comments on colors. Doomshrooms are not used.

The achievement is relatively simple and easy. I did it close to the water area as all the shrooms seemed to be there. There is plenty of time as all the shrooms have a 2 minute timer so if you get a duplicate, just fimd another one.

None of the comments about coordinates helped me, so when I finally found the Shrinkshrooms, I made a map.

That is as detailed as I could make it, due to the size of the zone.

I don't know if this has been mentioned yet or not. After reading some of these comments on how to get this achievement I happened to get an idea. I invited a friend of mine into my party and searched for the closest set of 4 mushrooms needed for the achievement. I then set world markers by each one so I could easily locate them. Hope this helps:) Enjoy!

I found all 4 achievement requirements at 74-33 (give or take 50 yrds)
Many thanks for the pics above Striegyr
Look at your de-buffs - It will tell you what you have found
Also - there are a LOAD of trapcaps inside the southern edge of the zone - as already posted
Also the shrooms are all named the same so that they will all qualify for the Fungal Fury daily
(Hard to get if you don't know what you are looking for - Easy to get once you do. And fits nicely with the other dailies)
Once scoped - less than 1 minute to complete - Thanks again guys.
