The new recipes for this event make Chef de Cuisine a lot easier.... well... When they come out. To complete it now, you have to go into Dire Maul for a recipe to drop. Recipe: Runn Tum Tuber Surprise!

Judging from the recipes, the minimum cooking level to get this achievement is 280.

Almost every item required for these recipes must be bought from a Pilgrim's Bounty vendor outside a capital city. However, depending on the item, the location of the vendor differs. Fortunately, the flavor text and name of each item tells you exactly where you can find it.

The only exceptions are , which can easily be made by any cook, regardless of the holiday, and which is acquired by killing Wild Turkeys in either Elwynn Forest or Tirisfal Glades, as per the flavor text.

Not much into cooking yet? I believe you'll be able to use Pilgrim's Bounty to level your cooking up to 355 quickly, easily, and inexpensively -- even if you've never cooked before! Here's how you can use it to level cooking:

Step 1: Go to the cooking trainer (there's one available right outside Stormwind City for the event) and get the Spice Bread recipe -- buy the needed Simple Flour and Mild Spices (sold by the Pilgrims Bounty ingredient vendor nearby), and cook at least 80 bread. The recipe turns gray at 40, but don't worry about that -- be sure to save all the bread you make, as you'll need it for the next step.

Step 2: Go to a Pilgrim's Bounty recipe vendor and purchase the Bountiful Cookbook for 1 silver, and in it you'll find the Spice Bread Stuffing recipe -- learn the recipe, buy Autumnal Herbs, and make the stuffing until you get to 100. Reminder: When you reach 50, go back to your cooking trainer and get Journeyman in cooking so you will continue leveling to 100.

Step 3: Learn the Pumpkin Pie recipe, buy ripe pumpkins and Honey, and make the pie until you get to 160. (Note: The necessary Ripe Elwynn Pumpkins are only available from a Pilgrim's Bounty vendor outside Stormwind City.) Reminder: When you reach 125, go back to your cooking trainer and get Expert in cooking so you will continue leveling past 150 and up to 160.

Step 4: Learn the Cranberry Chutney recipe, buy tangy cranberries and honey, and make the chutney until 220. (Note: The Tangy Wetland Cranberries required for the recipe are only available from a Pilgrim's Bounty vendor outside Ironforge.) Reminder: When you reach 200, go back to your cooking trainer and get Artisan in cooking so you will continue leveling past 225 and up to 300.

Step 5: Learn the Candied Sweet Potato recipe, buy the sweet potatoes, honey, and autumnal herbsand make the potatoes until 280. (Note: The Teldrassil Sweet Potato required for the recipe are only available from a Pilgrim's Bounty vendor inside Darnassus. Be sure to get extra sweet potatoes here, as you'll need them for step 6 also.) Reminder: When you reach 275, go back to your cooking trainer and get Master in cooking so you will continue leveling past 300.

Step 6: Learn the Slow-Roasted Turkey recipe, buy the sweet potatoes, and honey, kill Wild Turkeys until you have enough turkeys, and cook until you get to 350. (Note: Wild turkeys required for this recipe are only found in Elwynn Forest.)

I estimate this will cost under 10g! Significantly cheaper and easier than leveling your cooking under the usual circumstances.

This achievement appears to only require a maximum cooking skill of 280. The Slow Roasted Turkey recipe seems to have had its learnable skill level reduced to just 280 which makes this an even better recipe to help level your cooking skill now.

Using this holiday event alone, you can raise a level 1 toon to 300 (or more) in cooking. The toon achieved lvl 2 while doing these quests. You will need 20 - 30 gold to purchase ingredients and training.

Start by cooking lots of spice bread - I will say that my magic number was 100 for each recipe because of the dailies.
100 would get you through at least 4 days.

Yes, you have to purchase lots of stuff, pumpkins, cranberries, potatoes, herbs, honey, but it it pretty darn cheap.
REMEMBER to level you cooking with a cooking train when you get with in 25 pt of the next level.

My main is at 199 - I need to get one more recipe from Winter's Veil to get the Iron Chef achievement.
