I wanted to do 3000 quests, so naturally I revisited all of Azeroth and painstakingly completed each quest that didn't require a raid. Now I find out that the tag I get is "Loremaster Searingdeath". Slightly disappointed... after all, it's simply not socially acceptable to wear a title like that =/. Oh well...

The Loremaster's Colors is a pitiful reward for such a difficult achievement in my opinion.

We totaly deserve to have a yellow exclemation mark hovering over our heads while wearing this tabard. It should be managable for Blizzard to make such an effect. Just don't show me on the minimap please...

I'm currently about 150 Kalimdor quests from completing this, and about the same amount of quests from 3000 Quests Completed.

Advice to people trying to get this:

Always make sure that your quest count towards this. Some of the Dungeon quests I have picked up does, whereas some don't. From what I can tell, there is no simple rule behind it, only what Blizzard has decided. All you can do is read Wowhead and hope for a comment about it.
Make sure you know what you are getting yourself into, especially in Azeroth. 90 quests or so may sound pretty fast, but it does take time. Questing is much slower in Azeroth than in Outland/Northrend, partly due to finding quests becomes a huge problem unless you've systematically been hunting this achievement from level 1. Also, the structure is far worse designed in Classic. There's more running back and forth, fewer mobs (respawn-camping) and lower drop rates. Whereas in TBC/WOTLK questing's been made easy by being built up as a whole, Azeroth quests are far from that nice to you.
In addition to the above, repeatable quests and similar in Azeroth do not always have a blue exclamation mark. So beware of doing quests unless you are sure that they're not repeatables. Experienced players can usually tell the difference.

I doubt that Blizzard is going to redo the entire quest content of Azeroth for the sake of achievements. But still, I think that 20 points for Kalimdor and Eastern Kingdoms combined is not only cheap, it is also insulting to themselves considering amount of well-made content it actually involves. Especially since there aren't even zone-based sub-achievements like those in Outland/Nortrend.
Apart from that it's a great achievement as it has you experience all of the non-dungeon content of the game and must rightfully be considered a far more prestigious title than most. Especially the old content is easily forgotten nowadays and people just rush through it, when in fact, every little corner of Azeroth is filled with little stories. I advice anyone interested in Warcraft lore to do this, in time.

Does anyone know if blizzard kept track of which quests you've already completed in vanilla/BC and added that to your total? Does this become impossible if you've already done a lot of quests pre-achievements?

The quests you completed in Classic and BC count. You can see them on your Eastern Kingdoms/Kalimdor/Outland achievements.

Ahh jeez I could never do this achievement. I love achievements and all but I decided to just skip this and the explorer. I would say to do this if you really and I mean really want the title and tabard. Also do it only if you are having fun. Don't kill yourself over this achievement lol. I started to do it and then dropped out after like 200 quests in Kalimdor. I feel that I could be doing a lot more fun things in Wow than ravaging Azeroth, Outland, and Northrend for all these quests.

Grats to the guys that got it and good luck to those going for it. My advice would be to do it in increments so you don't get burnt out!

Soooo...according to the official forums, the change is not really good news for anyone who hasn't done this achievement yet.

Everyone who made a comment about this change said they lost about 25-35 Quest.

For horde players it is cleary a big nerf. Loremaster of Kalimdor is now harder to obtain than before 3.0.8. (Even though it was reduced from 700 to 685)

I just got this achievement today, as a Blood Elf, and it is indeed possible, even though it's tricky to get! As a note, I had to open up the Dungeon set 2 questlines, as well as the Onyxia questline in order to finish the amount of quests in Kalimdor.

Eastern Kingdoms should have plenty of quests for a Horde player, so don't fret too much about that one.

Northrend and Outland at least have quests listed by zone, so it can be easy for you to see where you've missed one!

While working on the Eastern Kingdom and Kalimdor quests, I found the mod named EveryQuest was very useful. It lists, like it says, every quest by zone, and tracks what you've done, abandoned, or have in progress. However, it isn't retroactive. It at least can give you a good idea where to work on quests in the zone.

I'm glad they reduced Horde's Kalimdor Loremaster section down 15 quests 'cause it ain't easy. I need about 25 quest for Loremaster left, and then i'll need another 50 or so quests for 3,000 done. Holiday events can probably cover that, because scouring massive zones (on ground mount no less) is a big time pain in the ass.

I'm currently working towards this achievement on my Death Knight, standing at 250 Kalimdor and 110 Eastern Kingdoms.

I'm not gonna lie... it's quite a job. Not being able to use a flying mount just cripples the speed you can quest at. I'm also making a point of reading the quest text, I'm finding some interesting stuff that I missed on leveling 5 characters to 70/80!

Ok I have a question and am not sure where to ask it so here goes ... I am 12 -15 quest from loremaster in outlands I need these in blades edge mountains. my problem is I can't get any more quests from anyone or anything I am revered with ogrila but not exalted. I know Im missing some quest from the orges there but being revered with ogrila i think has made me friendly with the rest in BEM ... my question is once I hit exalted with ogrila can I click "at war" to get these quests or am I just not going to be able to finish and get the title loremaster....(i have tried grouping with people that have not done these quests and I get nothing )

Just got this Achievment done today and man I must say ..it was rough. If I wasn't so far into it, I would've gave up. Kalimdor was by far the hardest. If anyone is looking to do this, you should start there. That way when you get the point of wanting to jump off a building, you're not too far into it to stop. Many thanks to the posts here, would've been lost without them.

Just got this on my warrior, took a lot of time and effort.

Some quests that really helped me get there were:
The AQ scepter chain
The MC chain for water (gets you a feat of strength also)
The Linken's Boomerang quest chain which starts from A Wrecked Raft in Un'goro Crater at
Make sure you do the 3 item drop quests in Ashenvale after doing the Ashenvale hunt line Shadumbra's Head, Sharptalon's Claw, and Ursangous's Paw
If applicable do the quest for Quel'Serrar which starts from Foror's Compendium of Dragon Slaying

These were what I was missing they got me my like last 30 or 40, once you are able to start the AQ chain you can solo most of it, and once you start the MC chain you can get it done in one run if you bring some friends.

I just finished this about 15 minutes ago and wow.. I don't know what to say. Back in my EQ days there as an epic quest line known as the Coldain Prayer Shawl. Since I completed that chain I have been yearning for something similar in scope, this is the first time I experienced anything like that in WoW. It can get mind numbingly boring/frustrating; especially in Kalimdor, but just tough it out and you'll find those last couple of quests. Good luck!

A great add-on for this achievement is Carbonite. Basically what it does is gives you a checklist of every quest you can start in a zone. When you do a quest it marks it off the list. It lists all hard to find escorts, rare drops, and out of place quest givers. The only downside is after you download it, you have to mark off the quests your have already completed because it can't track quests before it is installed. Still a great way to go through a zone and see if you missed any quests.

Ok I just finished this on 7/19/09. Started out at 475/700 Kalimdor and 415/550 in EK. Here's a couple tips I used that made this a ton easier.

1. Dont give up! There will be times you'll be wondering why you're doing such a large task, but dont give in! You learn alot about the game and get a chance to do some really fun quests along the way that you otherwise might never have known about.

2. If you're just starting, Carbonite addon has a feature that pretty much tells you where every quest in a zone is, and then checks them off as you go. Great if you're just starting, and still useful for finding some obscure quests in random locations even if you're already waist deep into the achievement.

3. Create some filters to only show quests that start from item drops in the zone you're working on. Alot of them will have easy follow ups.

4. Check up on the quests here on wowhead before you run down some single quest that's a long, long ways away. Some quests dont seem to count for the achievement with little to none rhyme or reasoning behind other than blizz saying so.

5. Once you're nearing the end of Kalimdor or EK and you're scrambling for quests, start up on your next continent. There's a plethora of questlines starting in one continent and ending in the other. For example I was 7 short in Kalimdor when I started on EK and finished it while I was working on EK.

So goodluck to all trying for one of my favorite achievements in the game, and hope this post helps some people out.

After you have done that, use the addon to see where your missing quests are, check on www.wowhead.com/cata if needed and finish your loremaster achievement !

Just finished this. When I started I had about 40% of the quests completed from leveling to 80. My random comments:

Run, do not walk, to download the latest version of Everyquest. It can read all your completed quests from your player database. If you filter out completed quests, Everyquest will show you what you have left in each zone. Its not perfect, but it helped me find the last few quests in a number of zones
Do dungeon quests when you can. They almost all count, and those that don't count for Loremaster will count for The Seeker.
Quest givers with both repeatable and non-repeatable quests will display a blue, not a yellow, exclamation point. So check quest givers with blue exclamation points for yellow exclamation point quests.
You should start this assuming you will also do The Seeker. That means finishing up all the quests in each zone even when you have gotten enough quests done for the Loremaster
Kalimdor is far and away the hardest
The tabard isn't the only reward from completing this. I made at least 5,000g plus lots of green and blue BOEs to DE; cloth and meat for my alts, tons of rep for many factions, etc, etc

Confirmed that Loremaster will not be removed with Cataclysm, but will be changed to accomodate the changes to Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor.

Official post:

"Loremaster of Eastern Kingdoms and Loremaster of Kalimdor no longer requires you to complete a given amount of quests anymore. You now have to complete the achievements for each zone to get the Loremaster title."

Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor zones will get their own quest achievement per zone, similar to how it works for Outland and Northrend.

So far Cataclysm seems to have broken Loremaster and EveryQuest. It's now 01/01/2011 with no updates for either.

To anyone serious about completing this achievement, and you don't know where to start, this is the post you want to read.

Randomly running around looking for quest givers is not going to work, you'll want some help and there are five essential addons that will give it to you.

1) EveryQuest (EQ) - Just like it says, it's a data base for every quest, parsed right here from Wowhead. It interfaces with the in game quest log and queries the server to find out what quests you've done (you need to manually tell it to do so), giving you a list of quests you haven't done. You can filter by zone, faction, and other options as well.

2) EveryQuest QuestGivers (EQ-QG) - Ties into EQ, and puts ! on your map for locations of quest givers that still have quests for you. There are filters for these, as well as a handy setting that gives you a tooltip so you can see the names of what quests you haven't done from each !. This allows for quick searches in case those quest givers are in the middle of a quest chain you haven't started.

3) HandyNotes - Required for EQ-QG to mark your map with !'s.

4) Loremaster (LM) - This one modifies the Quest Description. It puts a line at the bottom of the description and above the rewards telling you whether or not the quest applies towards the Loremaster Achievement. It also integrates into EQ adding a after every quest in EQ's list that applies to Loremaster. It doesn't know all quests in game, but it DOES track what quests it hasn't seen and whether or not they count. The creator has a site where you can upload your loremaster.lua savedvariables. Every upload is parsed immediately and creates a new data file which can be downloaded and put into the Loremaster directory so you can always have the most up to date list. The more people that upload after doing a quest LM didn't know, the more complete LM becomes. For quests LM doesn't know (which is very few), you get...

5) LightHeaded - This addon adds a sliding window to the right side of your quest log. When a quest is selected you can use this new window to view Wowhead comments about that quest. This is useful in helping you find tricky locations, and when LM doesn't know if a quest counts or not, Wowhead comments almost always do. Plus, in said window, you can type in a search for a quest by name and pull up it's comments so you don't have to ALT+TAB out of WoW every few minutes. Lightheaded will also list the entire chain of chain quests when you select/search ANY quest in that chain, in similar fashion to Wowhead... the perfect tie in to EQ-QG's tooltips.

Other addons you'll want to look into, and probably already have, are good questfinder/map/waypoint/co-ords addons. I personally use Carbonite which does them all in one go and works with all the addons I listed above, plus has many other features. Carbonite also has Quest/Qgiver lists/locations in it and can query the server, however I prefer EQ's interface and LM doesn't tie into Carbonite.

Finished as a Blood Elf Warlock today. Last quest was in Dire Maul. I had to do Mara quests, side with the Gelkis in Desolace and anything else possible to get quests done.

* Everyquest is a nice mod. However, do not trust it entirely. I found many quests were listed for professions I did not have, or for races I was not. So, take some time to read and verify just what these quests are. Also, any quests you need to do, be sure to look up for any previous quests which might have items you dumped or need for this undone quest.

* Loremaster mod will take out all the non-Loremaster quests. Ok, supposedly. Still a lot of trash in the list.

* EveryQuest Questgivers will add to the map all the quest givers in a zone. Its clumsy as a mod but can give you an idea of where quest givers are without hitting wowhead maps all the time.

I flew zone by zone, hit up every possible quest giver. I also used for those "This Begins A Quest".

Only one problem with Everyquest is that it also shows Class quests so don't panic if an npc dsn't have a quest for you. Also Query server > populate history from EQ options for accurate info. ( Didn't know at first so i wasted like 2hours going around kalimdor for Quests i've alrdy done ) :(

Those of you pushing to get this over the last few days before it changes, make sure you get the three or four named mobs in The Barrens, Ashenvale, the one in Mulgore around the outside of Thunderbluff, the Egg Machine Quest in Gadgetzan, there is a cave on the north-eastern wall of Thousand Needles that has a few, and cloth turn ins in capital cities count the first time. Note that the Loremaster achievements don't require any quests completed from the level 1-12 starting zones. That means there are no quest achievements associated with Mulgore, Durotar, Kezan/Lost Isles, Tirisfal Glades, or Eversong Woods.

Did anyone else notice that the quests u did before the 4.0.3a patch dont count anymore? before the patch i was 348/6** (dont know exact number). and now since the zones are broken down, i have no quests registered for many of the old areas. example is 0/70 in northern barrens.

funny enough i investigated into this, and quests are available to me in the northern barrens that ive previously done before back when i actually was level 12.. such as into the raptors den.

Does this mean us level 80's who didn't manage to get loremaster before the patch, have to go back and do all these quests over again? please tell me this is a glitch

*Edit* You no longer have to use the addon in-game to sync your character, the official armory will tell Wowhead all about your quests -you only need to logout so the armory updates there and then. Also wrote a proper guide about this, here. ;)

The easiest way to do all the zone quests is by using the Wowhead Client to profile your character.

If you get stuck in a zone, follow my quick guide to resolve the issue:

The first step is to type /wl collect then followed by /console reload
If errors like "Type '/help' for..."; make sure that the client has installed the Wowhead addon and that it is enabled for the character!
To fix this simply exit the game, quit the Wowhead client if it's running (look in the system tray too) and start it again, then make sure the addon is enabled under "Addons" button at the character selection screen. Fixing other issues regarding the client, please look at the FAQ.
Minimize the game and open the Wowhead Client dialog, there should be a profile under "Account-Specific Data" that is pending to be uploaded, so naturally you now click the "Upload" button.
If there is nothing to upload simply exit and start the Wowhead Client again (not the game itself).
Now that the profile is uploaded, head over to your characters and pick the character you are stuck with.
Click "Quests" tab and navigate to the specific zone you are stuck at, since you are stuck I am sure you know how many quests you need and you do not need to have 100% of a zone just because Wowhead does not list it as 100%, these quests are all possible quests available in that zone, not all should be completable as some requires specific class or profession.
On the specific zone page you can filter and show only quests you have not completed, this way you can open them and look at the map where you obtain them, if they are chains, where the first quest in the row starts, read comments and tips, and much more!

If you have problems, either the command not working (/wl), Wowhead Client not showing any profiles to upload, or anything else -I'll try help fix some of these issues with this checklist:

Make sure that the Wowhead Client (under Tools/Options) is set properly, i.e. that the WoW Folders point where they should. If you set it right, save and restart the client so it installs the addon properly. If the game is running you will have to restart it too, so the addon is loaded.
Make sure that you have looked up your character using the Profiler, at least once. This way when you upload the profile, the website knows who it belongs to.
If anything else put a comment as reply to this one and I'll update my guide with more information -if it's relevant, as some problems may be caused on your side or related directly to the Wowhead site or client.

I hope that those stuck in a zone look up this achievement for this information, as I only posted it in the loremaster pages. Good luck to you all, you at least won't be stuck like I was some days ago, knowing this information! :)

I just finished this today. Splitting the Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor into separate achievements for each zone has made it significantly easier, and it involves a great deal less running about all over Azeroth. There aren't so many quests that are difficult to find, so just pick a zone and pick up every single exclamation mark you see.

Oddly enough, you still get a letter from Cairne Bloodhoof. Apparently even dead people can use the mailbox.

Just completed this recently. I had done Eastern kingdoms, Kalimdor and Outlands but was late to buying Wotlk so hadnt done Storm Peaks before Cataclysm hit. So had to do all the Cataclysm quests (as well as finishing Storm Peaks) as well to get the achievement, no biggy was going to anyway. So this answers the question in this thread earlier; Yes you can finish it if you have done Eastern and Kalimdor and got the achievements for that. stupid thing now there are all the old world zones taunting me to complete them in the achievements panel.. aghhh

Loremaster/Insane Glitch

I recently got insane on my character after months of famring. I WAS exalted with bloodsail buccaneers (w/ title), until I went to do my loremaster. I instantly dropped 500 rep and went to revered. I decided to farm Admiral Shelly to get my rep back up, and wait for blizzard to fix the BB guards (they claimed you could get thru exalted with bloodsail by doing this). This never happened. 4 months later (after waiting patiently), the guards are still not fixed and the obvious quest -bloodsail rep is not fixed. I was 1 kill away before this next patch hit, from getting bloodsail exalted again (5 rep). Now, there is a glitch that says "invalid target" when I go to kill Admiral Shelly.

I figured, no big deal right? I have a lot of other reps to farm for united nations, I'll just up one of them and finish up my loremaster. Obviously, not. There is a glitch that if you are friendly or above, you cannot kill the bloodsail pirates outside of BB. It says invalid target (yes, I did disable addons and made sure I checked "at war"). I have petitioned a GM about this several times and currently ONLY have southern stranglethorn to complete for my loremaster title.

It would be one thing if they were going to actually implement the changes they claim they were going to. IE the BB guards going thru exalted. However, now that they know of yet another issue - will they even fix it so those of us with the insane title CAN get loremaster too? This seems pretty stupid to have to pick and choose AFTER you get insane, whether you want insane or loremaster. As it stands, there is no way to get both.

My point is: Please don't make posts about things that will later be changed and lead us all on, then suddenly decide it is a hassle. As it stands blizzard has glitched everyone with friendly (or above) with bloodsail, so that they cannot get Loremaster. I find this appalling, and quite frankly doubt they will even get around to fixing it.

Things that have messed up with the insane title/loremaster title for me WHILE farming it:
Jorrik is no longer available to kill
Admiral Shelly is no longer able to be killed (glitched as of last patch)
Shen'dralar is no longer required (I farmed that for nothing)
Quests in Strangelthorn were NOT supposed to negatively effect rep (they do, almost every single one of them)
BB guards were supposed to be able to be farmed up thru exalted (they require a party now to kill, and they only go up to revered)
Cannot complete southern strangelthorn quests, have 23 left to finish
Cannot diminish my rep with bloodsails other then turning in quests (have done all that I can do, and cannot go below 18k into revered)

The list goes on and on, all of which were promised to either be fixed or barely warned in advance that they were going to be removed (IE Shen'dralar). I already farmed up several reps before the cata patch hit, and they were instantly invalidated. But, now, I can't even finish up loremaster. It is one thing to continuiously promise to fix something, and an entirely diferent thing to string us along for months promising to fix it - when you know full well you won't.

I got mine yesterday after about two weeks of hard labour plowing through the older "left-outs" in Outland and Northrend. Movieclip of the actual moment I receive the achievement is on youtube if you search for "Loremaster yengil".

this is a worth while achievement to get if you do not have it and you are currently bored with the game. alot of the starting areas has change and their are many new quests added that wasnt their pre cata.,

I have found this achievement to be far easier to work towards since Cataclysm. All Kalimdor and EK countries that count towards it are full of chain quests resulting in you only having to find the first quest in each and just keep going. I have also noticed that all countries have at least 3 - 5 quests more than necessary for their achievement.

I do still use Everyquest, it makes it that much faster to find that first quest. And unless you want to spend months levelling (which is enjoyable, just not noticeably popular) I would recommend waiting until you hit 80. You will then speed through the Azerothian zones and going back to Outlands will be a complete pleasure.

Just a little tip for everyone who is thinking/trying to complete this achi. no matter which map you are questing on, dont forget to pick enough number of Swiftness Potion and Swim Speed Potion before you begin...You will be lost in deep caverns and seas :P

Having played through most of what was required for Loremaster pre-Cataclysm I was able to contrast the differences in the quests and zones. There were some zones that went through significant changes (Thousand Needles), and some that were pretty much the same (Dustwallow Marsh). With the coming of Cataclysm we find classic NPCs removed like Tammra Windfield and some areas that used to be central in questing abandoned such as Sun Rock Retreat and Marshal's Refuge. I don't welcome all of the changes to the game I ran across, and this may be due to my classic WoW nostalgia. I just don't see why removing some quests, NPCs, or items was needed. WoW has been up and running for nearly eight years, and I guess all good things must come to an end. I am happy that I was able to experience the old world though.

While the quest hub system is easier to navigate, I think you lose a lot of the potential discovery that was present before. Many of the more epic quests that required you to travel to far away zones completing tasks were removed. A good example of one is Cortello's Riddle. There were also in-zone quests that were removed or changed. No more Outhouse quest in Searing Gorge! However, there were some amazing new quests added to the game. I've listed a few below that I found to be memorable.

I just Completed The Loremastertoday and was slightly disappointed that you cant see the bottom of the exclamation point on my Loremaster's Colors because it is covered up by my huge WWE style belt that Blizzard implemented in Cata. It also might be due to the fact that I am a Goblin. Just a fair warning to anyone who might be doing this for the tabard: If you are a Goblin, you might be disappoint!

Just started this today as a Death Knight with all quest counters in Eastern Kingdoms and Kalimdor at zero. Completed 4 zones so far, and I just realized how long this might take..

Remember that dungeon quests do not count BUT they do lead onto quest chains that do. A prime example of this is in Nagrand (slam) where you need the dungeon quest "http://www.wowwiki.com/Quest:Auchindoun..." which leads you on to 4 more quests (as horde). This stumped me for quite a while and is worth noting when in Outlands.
Other tips are to mine/harvest all of the time, even when people tell you it is not worth it. I have been made around 50g per stack in Outlands and had more stacks than I can count which soon adds up and khorium is worth a small fortune.
I also combined with my archaeology which made that slightly less tedious.

I thought I'd add a Cataclysm post with the new numbers required for this achievement. I'm in progress on it and Seeker right now. This is for Horde (I shouldn't have to point that out but just in case someone's on the wrong page.)

Kalimdor: 733 Quests
Eastern Kingdoms: 598 Quests
Outland: 587 Quests
Northrend: 875 Quests
Cataclysm: 555 Quests

Total: 3,348 Quests

So now you get your 3000 Quests Completed title of <The Seeker> before getting Loremaster. If you're a bored 85 trying to rack up achievement points, you get a total of 720 Achievement Points for the "(Zone) Quests", "Loremaster of (Continent)", "(N) Quests Completed", and "Loremaster" achievements. Any other incidentals that you pick up along the way are just gravy, and you're pretty much guaranteed to pick some others up. I also advise going for the World Explorer achievement and title at the same time, which gives an additional 885 points. You do have to do some zones for Explorer that you don't have to touch for Loremaster, namely the racial starting zones and zones with no Horde quests at all, like Redridge. You'll usually have all but one or two subzones explored by the time you get the zone quests achievement done anyway.

I recommend having a plan going in, if you want to get the achievement done in a "reasonable" amount of time. This has worked well for me, but you'll know your preferences and there's no "right answer" here. I started with Kalimdor, generally agreed to be the longest slog of the bunch. I started up at the top of the continent and worked my way south. Every time I started a new zone, I would track the zone quests achievement and the Explore achievement. I also track the 3000 quests completed achievement just so I have an idea of where I'm at. So for Ashenvale, for example, I track Explore Ashenvale and Ashenvale Quests. I have Low Level Quests visible in the minimap, and use one addon each for finding quests and finishing exploration, linked further below. Once finished with Kalimdor, the order I followed was Outland, Northrend, Cataclysm, then back to Eastern Kingdoms for the home stretch. This way the quests get more difficult but more compacted until you're back in the Eastern Kingdoms blowing away level 12s again.

One thing I've noticed is that for Outland, Northrend, and the Cataclysm zones, you really are better off following the order you would typically follow leveling. This way you get pre-requisite quests done and don't end up 3 quests short in 3 different zones and then find out there's a 9-quest chain that takes you through all three. You can find the expected order by opening your achievements tab, going to Quests and picking the continent you're working on, and the order the unfinished achieves are presented in is the expected order for leveling.

I use two addons for this. One is QuestHubber, which shows the location of all incomplete quests on the full map. I haven't started the Cataclysm zones yet and it warns the data may not be quite as accurate, but for Kalimdor, Outland and Northrend it's been great. It's worth mentioning that it also tries to use the /qh shortcut that QuestHelper uses, I've disabled QuestHelper and just let Blizzard's stock quest tracker handle things, which it really does admirably compared to in the past. Sorting by priority helps a lot. When I first get into a zone, I'll fly to the densest concentration of quests, accept all of them, then go to the next densest (there are almost always at least two quest hubs), and so on. Once I've gotten 10 or 15 to work on I'll knock them out in order of proximity, and when it's time to fly to the other side of the zone, I turn in the quests I've completed and get the next batch before heading there.

The other Addon is WorldExplorer, which is to help find the last subzone or two needed to get the Exploration achieve in the zone you're working in. It's pretty self explanatory, any subzone you haven't been to yet is outlined in the full map. It stacks with QuestHubber with no issues.

Older posts will reference EveryQuest and Loremaster. EveryQuest is no longer supported by it's authors, and Loremaster hasn't been needed yet, though it appears it does everything QuestHubber does, and then some. However, I don't really need the additional info as far as the rep given or choice of rewards, so I like QuestHubber for being minimally intrusive.

Finally, some general tips:
1.) Go easy on yourself. Find the little things you enjoy to help pass the time spent (and you will be spending a lot of time chasing this achievement). I really only work on this on my weekends, so I make myself some coffee, turn on some internet radio, check my auctions and make sure I don't have any pressing dailies to do before getting started. Make yourself comfortable, enjoy yourself (it's a game!).

2.) Watch for drop quests. One thing you'll find as you progress through this meta-achievement is that different zones seem to have different amounts of leeway in how many quests you can miss and still get the achievement. Southern Barrens I still had at least 7 or 8 quests left, but Dustwallow Marsh (if I remember right) required you to complete every last available quest in the zone, and then fly to Thunder Bluff to finish the last one. One of those was a quest that started from an item dropped by a mob on death. Blizzard's quest UI seems to now indicate when monsters will drop an item that starts a quest, unless QuestHubber is doing that for me. Pay attention to the tooltip.

3.) Enjoy the lore. I've learned a lot about the game and the Warcraft universe that I'd never known prior to starting on this, and found some new favorite zones for lore. If you're not reading, hitting accept, and flying out to go kill ten rats, you're entirely missing the point of the achievement. There are far easier ways to get achievement points and titles than this, so do it because you want to learn more about the story and the universe, and you'll enjoy the game more.

4.) Learn which quests count. I'm not going the full route of recommending you look on Wowhead for every quest, but the general rules are as follows.

If a quest starts in one zone and ends in another, it will count as a completion in the zone it started from.
Quests that start in a zone and end in a dungeon generally count as a dungeon quest. You can tell the difference by looking in the quest log and noting what zone the quest is listed under.
The first time you do a daily quest will count. Any completions after that will only count for "X Daily Quests Completed" achievements.
There are occasional quests that logically should count but don't. Them's the breaks. There aren't very many though.

That's all I can think of for now. Just pace yourself, don't expect to get this in a week or two. Enjoy your new Loremaster title when it's all over, because now it's officially more difficult to get than Seeker.

Word to the wise for higher lvls going back for this title. While flying from point A to point B, follow the roads and keep your eyes on ur minimap for quest givers! It will save you time in the end by not having to fly around lookin for quests you missed and also may prevent you from having to check wowhead for every zone

please help, I am working on loremaster. I know that i have done some quests in the areas that show having done none. the real problem is the fast that i have don't the zandalari quest chain and now can no long do any quests in stranglethrone. Help what do i do?

If you are going to do this achievement I'd recommend downloading the Loremaster addon, available here: http://www.curse.com/addons/wow/loremasteraddon - to sum up it plots markers on your map to show you where the quests are that you haven't completed.

If you install Lightheaded and TomTom as in the setup instructions on Curse you will be able to have waypoints set to the quests, a log that will tell you which quests you have and haven't done, which lead onto quest lines etc. As well as that you will get an expandable part to your quest log which will let you view comments from wowhead in game to save you alt-tabbing for anything you are having trouble with!

I had been using EveryQuest prior to using this addon, but experienced a lot of issues with it (probably due to it being so outdated). Loremaster works with 4.3 though and I can't recommend it enough for this achievement!

I found the easiest way to finish this achievement was to do all the zones in order as much as possible.

The Eastern Kingdoms

Do Ghostlands (10-20) first. This will be a little annoying since you can't fly there.
then from the Undercity do:Silverpine Forest (10-20),Hillsbrad Foothills (20-25), Arathi Highlands (25-30),Hinterlands (30-35), Western Plaguelands (35-40), Eastern Plaguelands (40-45).Then you can do quest Fuselight, Ho! to get to:Badlands (44-48), Searing Gorge (47-51), Burning Steppes (49-52). Then you can do quest The Bogpaddle Bullet to get to:Swamp of Sorrows (52-54), Blasted Lands (54-60).
And I really liked the suggestion to finish the entire loremaster achievement in the Cape of Stranglethorn so you can do:Northern Stranglethorn (25-30) and lastly the Cape of Stranglethorn (30-35) to finish with a bang.

Kalimdor has a few different options. You can do a lot of jumping around or you can try to do it in as close to an order as you can. I recommend you try something like:

Azshara (10-20), Ashenvale (20-25), Stonetalon Mountains (25-30), Southern Barrens (30-35), Dustwallow Marsh (35-40), Thousand Needles (40-45), Tanaris (45-50), Un'Goro Crater (50-55), Silithus (55-60), and then finish what you haven't done, or...

Northern Barrens (10-20), Ashenvale (20-25), Stonetalon Mountains (25-30), Desolace (30-35), Feralas (35-40), Thousand Needles (40-45), Tanaris (45-50), Un'Goro Crater (50-55), Silithus (55-60)

I wasn't able to find a good place to put: Felwood (45-50), Winterspring (50-55)

Loremaster of Outland is the worst of all of them so I might recommend doing it first. There's a lot of hopping back and forth from zone to zone since some quests can only be done if you've done the chains that take you from zone to zone.

Hellfire Peninsula (58-63), Zangarmarsh (60-64), Terokkar Forest (62-65), Nagrand (64-67), Blade's Edge Mountains (65-68), Netherstorm (67-70), Shadowmoon Valley (67-70).

Loremaster of Northrend can be done in two parallel routes (you can pick which way to go):

Borean Tundra (68-72), Dragonblight (71-75), Sholazar Basin (76-78), Icecrown (77-80).

Howling Fjord (68-72), Grizzly Hills (73-75), Zul'Drak (74-76), Storm Peaks (77-80).

Loremaster of Cataclysm

Vashj'ir (80-82), Mount Hyjal (80-82), Deepholm (82-83), Uldum (83-84), Twilight Highlands (84-85).

I'd recommend Outland first, then whatever order you want to do the rest in and finishing with the Eastern Kingdoms. Good luck.
